College Mentors provides educational consulting services that guide you through the the college preparation, selection, and admissions process. We work with you and your family on every aspect of the college process, from identifying potential schools, mapping a timeline, application assistance, expert essay guidance, and financial aid. The goal: helping you find your best fit college. Whether you’re a high school student planning to go to college as a freshman, a current college student looking to transfer, or an adult returning to school, College Mentors will help you navigate the college process.
History
Established in 2005.
College Mentors is committed to helping students and their families prepare for college and discover the college or university that best meets their needs. Since beginning the practice in 2005, we have worked with students from all walks of life and from all kinds of educational backgrounds, assisting them in every aspect of the college process and helping them discover their interests and move confidently toward their future.
With a background in writing and editing, as well as teaching writing skills, Diana Hanson is an expert essay adviser and editor with BA, MA, and CPhil degrees in English from UCLA. Diana also has completed her certification in College Counseling at UCLA.
Diana is a member of WACAC (Western Association of College Admissions Counselors), NACAC (National Association of College Admission Counseling), and HECA (Higher Education Consultants Association); she adheres to their high standards of professional ethics.

Diana, the principal at College Mentors, takes a practical, common sense approach, helping to demystify the complex college admissions process. Diana is an expert essay adviser and editor, who has BA, MA, and CPhil degrees in English from UCLA. She has been certified as a College Counselor through the UCLA program, and is a member of Higher Education Consultant’s Association (HECA), the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), and the Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC).
