Decorum by Tess Canfield helps people all over the LA area live with a blend of good sense and good taste. It came to life for the same reason most small businesses do: a desire to make the world a little bit better (and in this case, a little bit prettier).

If you’re someone who, on one hand is inspired by beautiful style, but on the other, is a busy person dealing with clutter and just need things to work — this business was designed for you.

Each project is tailored to your passion or biggest need, whether it’s saving money or investing in hand-​crafted goods, saving time or saving mother earth. We also have À La Carte Solutions like paper organization, art selection and space planning if you’re not in need of both organization and style within your space.

I’ve always found inspiration, energy and wellness from a beautiful space, but at the same time, I found myself getting frustrated by a lot of what I saw in blogs and magazines because I knew they weren’t of real spaces and real lives. To me, a beautiful space is one that’s accessorized and styled well, but also fulfills the needs of busy individuals and families.

So, I gave up the corporate rat race and started training and working as a professional organizer, learning how to declutter and how to teach others to embrace living with less. But beyond traditional organizing, I wanted to also offer my aptitude and skill set for décor and design that inspire one to keep it functioning well.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing a remarkable Before/​After transformation while knowing it’s going to also make someone live life easier. Working one-​on-​one to help smart but busy people take back control of their space is what I love to do.
