DSJ Printing is proud of its consistent high-​quality commercial printing, pre-​press & bindery services provided for over 60 years. Founded by Tillie Vaughan and now ran by Jeff Vaughan, Sr., this is the 2nd generation of the Vaughan family to own and operate the company.

Over the years we have expanded greatly, thanks to our wonderful customer’s referrals and reviews. We serve mostly L.A. County, however we have customers throughout California and across the U.S.

What has enabled DSJ Printing to prosper has been our attention to customer satisfaction. The commitment we make to our customers of integrity and excellent service allows us to stand head and shoulders above the competition.

Traditional offset printing is one of the many services we offer. We use the most modern digital prepress and printing equipment available. These guys are the best!
I went for them to print some Save the Dates I designed. They gave me some advice regarding what paper to use and adjusting the colors on my file. They were so incredibly kind and patient!

Highly recommend! People were super helpful and friendly. They helped us print wedding programs and they turned out great! My friend designed them and this place graciously altered the height/​width of the template to fit what we needed. Kinkos would have charged extra. Overall would print in bulk here again if needed. Just a tip though– the earlier you put in your order the less your bill will be! …Thanks for great service!(:

A really excellent printer with personalized service. I came by needing some business cards done. They were helpful and turned out even better than I had envisioned. In my case, I did the design myself using Canva. I know they have a respected design staff and a lot of high-​profile clients. Some neat old fashioned printers in their window too.

Michael and his team were exceptional! We had our wedding invites printed here and he not only delivered them on time but when we noticed a problem with them (that was completley our fault) they reprinted them by the night the following day. Great price for everything. Great quality. We will defineitley be back with future projects!

BOTTOM LINE: Avoid this place @ all costs. In my 15-​years as a Graphic Designer and working with printers all over SoCal this is, hands-​down, the worst one ever.
I don’t like giving bad reviews, especially to people in similar trades, but I simply could not let this experience go without an alert to local consumers. Whether they go under «DSJ Printing» or «West LA Printing», I encourage you to go with their competitors which are just a short drive away. Everyone you will come in contact with here is very nice & courteous, but where the sweet talk begins is also where the quality and competence ends.
A Client of mine recently relocated to the area and we began our search for a new printer. A full color Tri-​fold Brochure, one of the easiest jobs for any printer of any size, generated over 25 phone calls, several e-​mails, unnecessary extra hours of labor, and a final product that showcased poor quality (the colors/​inks were HORRIBLE). The management did everything they could to keep me away from their Designers & Tech people to resolve the manner early and prevent the disappointing final product. Because we were already on our way to a trade show in Miami, we had no choice but to take the brochures since there was no time to correct the mistake.
Edwin, the owner, sounds like a nice guy at first. However, he loves to hear himself talk and has the habit of telling you, «I am your new best friend» (a catchphrase that sounded so insincere). After attempting to reach a gentlemen’s agreement with him to get $ 40 refunded for a ridiculous fee they added to cover «designer’s time» (considering they used the print-​ready file I originally sent them and there was no need for their Designer’s to do anything) I learned then that his talk & promises are not reflected in the quality of work that he ultimately delivers. According to him, our order was not generating enough revenue for him to consider returning the $ 40 (so much for my «new best friend»).
Freelancers, Independents, Business Owners, and Studios are all encouraged to not bring their business here.

We DIY’d our own wedding invitation suite and had DSJ do all of the printing and cutting. They did such a fabulous job! The color and quality came out perfectly and their customer service was top-​notch. They did 2 test prints for me before printing the entire suite, which I appreciated because we were able to fine-​tune everything. One of the things I liked best about working with DSJ was that they really worked within my budget (which all vendors say they’ll do but rarely actually do). Great, local family run business.

Michael and the entire team at DSJ are absolutely amazing. I rarely write reviews but our experience warranted one. We were on a tight schedule and needed prints done asap. They delivered earlier than expected. BUT when I picked up the print job, I realized a made a huge mistake and ordered it on the wrong stock. They immediately worked with us with the correct paper stock, printed and cut our order in the 12 minutes were were engaging in an animated conversation with Michael. Incredible! Quality and professionalism are impeccable. Thanks again for saving us and we will be definitely be going to you guys from now on.

Happy to have found Michael here– he and DSJ fixed a custom job for me that I had originally had done at a Fedex place where they nearly ruined it. My Fiancé and I needed to print our wedding invitations found DSJ on Unilocal.We bought our paper and envelopes from Kelly Paper Store in Santa Monica (buying paper in bulk is so much more affordable and the way to go)
This place is great… pricing is extremely fair, staff was more than accommodating, they got the job done fast, and we were really happy with the results. Would definitely come back for all of our printing needs. THANKS! our guests love our invitations! :)

After searching for a local printer I found DSJ Printing in Santa Monica. i read the reviews here on Unilocal and decided to drive over and see if they could help me with my new business cards and a small print run.
Michael, Rodrigo and Jerry were amazingly helpful. I am a complete novice on printing business cards, all I had was a designed logo and a powerpoint of what I wanted to do. They helped me load my fonts, format the document, pick the paper, make the modifications that I wanted within my budget.
Michael and Rodrigo called me after the first print run and said we needed to make adjustments. I came in and we worked together to fix the issues and they ran two versions to see which one I liked better.
This teams is extremely knowledgable and accommodating of even the smallest print job. I only wanted 50 cards and left with 100 for the same price, even after all the adjustments. I can’t recommend them enough.

I heard of this place through a friend who is a graphic designer. She told me they do good work, but they tend to cater to larger orders so don’t expect the greatest customer service.
Boy was she spot on. I had a smaller order and they seemed so nonchalant about it. I was told it would take 2 — 4 business days so that’s what I expected. They did make a change for me which I did appreciate, so I figured the time started then. 8 days later I still didn’t have my finished product so I emailed them. They said it would be done tomorrow so I went in.
I go in, pay and realize they did my order backwards. I let him know I needed them back in a timely fashion and they said possibly 2 days (didn’t show much care). It took another 4 days and I had my business partner call them. Once she asked for the manager, the guy started to apologize. He refused to offer me a discount, but ended up giving us some money back.
The work was good, but the customer service wasn’t good. Printing isn’t rare in this side of town so if you don’t treat the customer well, they’ll find a better price and better service.
I would have a hard time recommending this place because of my experience.
