Free People Santa Monica Place

I wasn’t surprised to see all the negative reviews for other Free People stores because Free People isn’t known much for their in-​store service. The Girls have always been rude and snotty. I guess they think looking like a Coachella Rag Doll with a Stevie Hicks hat gives them some sort of Cache! However, the girls at the Santa Monica Free People store are so so nice! So nice that I will avoid any of the other Free People Store. I shop at Free People Online a lot and usually like to make my returns in store because
messed up two of my returns. So now I just make them in store. The Girls at the Santa Monica Place Location are always accommodating and haven’t given any attitude. Five stars to those betches!

The store is tiny! Ive never been to any free people store so I dont know if this is the typical size of their locations, but it was really small in my opinion. They didnt have what I was looking for unfortunately, but they still had some cute stuff. The sales associates were on the neutral side, they didn’t bother me nor speak to me.

I’m a huge fan of Free People & I shop with them often online & at multiple locations. I will say that this is a relatively big store (for free people) and the selection is good, but the girls who work there are not. Every time I go to this location I leave a little pissed off. They don’t greet you when you walk in (my experience on more than one occasion)…they’ll only speak to me when I have stuff in my hand that I want to try on… One of the things I love about Free People is that you can buy something online, & if it doesn’t work for you, you can return/​exchange in store. I’ve come in to return in the past & they seem to take it personally, because they will barely speak to me… because of this, I go out of my way to shop at other locations.

Sales associate was friendly, efficient and helpful. I had a couple of online orders I needed to exchange and return so I didn’t really look around the store all that much but it seemed a little smaller than others I’ve been to. You have to keep in mind all stores carry different items, so don’t rely on something to be in the store that you saw online. I would definitely call in to check if you’re looking for something specific. Anyways, my needs were met and service was friendly.
