Grabie Morris T MD

Dr. Grabie is rude, unprofessional and provides subpar care.
Avoid at any cost.

Dr. Grabie was treating a family member a couple weeks ago in the Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica.
Dr. Grabie was:
— In and out — didn’t take the time to answer our questions
— Not thorough /​confusing in his communications — Would make a statement then leave and we’d be left with more questions than we started with.
— Not caring — didn’t seem to take responsibility for the health of my family member
Avoid if possible.

My 95 y.o. grandpa who has chronic heart failure was seeing this MD. During one of the visits doctor displayed almost rude behavior: upon walking into the room he did not even acknowledged my grandpa (no «hi», no «how are you»). Doctor seemed to be very irritated, rushed into the room, asked about my grandpa’s current medications. Unfortunately, grandpa forgot the list at home. That was the beginning of the nightmare. Doctor literary asked us why we came if we have no list of current meds. Then he sent my grandpa to the lab to get current blood test to see how much Lasix he should take. That was the last time we ever heard from MD. We tried to reach the doctor for more than a week, calling twice a day (!!!), to see what the blood test results were and if grandpa’s dose of Lasix should be adjusted, but the doctor would not return phone calls. His secretary said that MD already called us and talked to us, but it’s a lie, since I have only cell phone and every call is recorded, even a missed one.
Finally, doctor’s secretary told us that doctor forwarded the results of this blood test to granpa’s PCP and that «the doctor doesn’t wish to see this patient any longer», because «we are being rude!». Us! being rude! for trying to get hold of md!!! Unbelievable!!! I have never seen a doctor who refusing to talk to a patient. What kind of a human being is he?!
Rude, unprofessional and horrible.
We will look for another nephro doctor.

I’m alive and here today to write this review, thanks to the kind, wonderful and caring skills of Dr. Grabie.
I was taken by ambulance to the Saint John’s ER back in February. I was septic due to a diabetic infection in my left foot.
Dr. Grabie was the ER Physician on duty that day and he immediately began a course of treatment that laid the foundation for my healing. He was kind and courteous to me, he took get pains to explain everything test he was going to order and to answer all of my questions.
He referred me to the right physicians whilst in the ER and worked hard to stabilize me before I was bundled off to the ICU.
48 hours later, my condition stabilized and I was able to go into surgery. Dr. Grabie visited me that morning and was über apologetic for the 24 hour delay, but assured me that he and his colleagues were convinced that my «numbers» could and would improve. Before leaving he took my respirations and with a smile told me that «2 days ago, you couldn’t do that»
I liked Dr. Grabie so much, I decided to make him my Primary Care Physcian.
Dr. Grabie is wonderful.

A horrible experience. A nightmare of an office. Dr. Grabie wrote the wrong diagnosis and misbilled the insurance company. Then wouldn’t correct it. After 4 months he finally partially corrected his mistakes but not completely. He refused to make the final corrections and refused to take my calls. Very rude office and extremely unprofessional.
