Great American Chicken Corporation, Inc

While I’ve never experienced «bad» chicken from either of the KFC locations in Lancaster or Palmdale, I have noticed a sudden implementation of a policy that I find to be offensive enough that I will pass on future offers to dine at either of these locations. The implementation of a 49 cent «Service Charge» to customers who do not pay with cash or a «real» credit card — meaning, not a debit card (even with the Visa or MasterCard logo) — you will be gouged a 49 cent fee. The store has a sign that informs the customer that as an «incentive to pay with cash or credit» this 49 cent fee will be discounted from your mean — meaning that this fee is already rolled into the price of your meal before you order.
I cannot speak for the other establishments owned by this corporation, but as for the location in Palmdale and Lancaster, I would think carefully about whether or not you think being gouged 49 cents here and 49 cents there is really worth it in these current economic times — especially in the AV where money is tighter than in Santa Monica. It’s bad enough that the chicken at KFC in general is grossly overpriced anyway.
