Everything is made fresh from scratch daily, we pride ourselves on our expansive pizza selection and ability to custom make any configuration from our 6 different pizza sauces and plethora of toppings. Give our new Basil Pesto a chance, we also suggest trying the home-made spicy dipping sauce that is vegetarian.
History
Established in 1995.
17 Years after creating and owning Abbots Pizza and 25 years making pizza we envisioned Grey Block Pizza! In building Grey Block Pizza we created an opportunity to redirect all the experience and passion we harnessed over the years and apply it in new ways. We wanted to build a Mom and Pop Pizzeria that can not only offer the highest quality pizza, but was capable of tapping the pulse of our customers feedback to inject new energy behind what we were already doing successfully for years. In Grey Block Pizza we created a chance to use all we learned as building blocks to a much more interactive pizza experience. Grey Block Pizza is a place that is capable of translating a «Mom and Pop’s» single mindedness about perfection and quality into a pizzeria that bridges the gap between the guy who has no online ordering and the huge corporations slinging a terrible product. In Santa Monica since 1999 formerly as Abbots Pizza we are now proud to continue on as Grey Block Pizza

Born in the Bronx I grew up in NY making pizza since an early age, by the age of 18 I was running a Pizzeria in Boston and did so until the age of 24 when I moved to Venice CA and opened up Abbots Pizza Company. After 17 years I am now extremely excited in our new incarnation as Grey Block Pizza and will be looking forward to continuing a proud legacy of making the best pizza I possibly can and drawing in from the talented and loyal employees we have built up to help get this venture going! My wife and I live and breathe the pizza business.
