There is the LACMA. There is the MOCA. And there is Hoot & Heart.
As an event producer, I’ve worked with more florists than I can shake an artificially color-​altered carnation at. Flowers are always pretty, they smell good, they make a room more inviting. But ask someone about the flowers after a major event, i.e. wedding, prom, engagement party, red carpet fiesta… and often the flowers are (one of the many things) forgotten.
And then I had my mind changed — and blown away — by the brother and sister team at Hoot & Heart. MORE THAN FLORISTS, this dynamic duo are event visionaries. Beyond flowers, they have a keen understanding of lighting, candles, lanterns, alternative decorative ideas… and so much more.
Blake and Laura are artists — they are young entrepreneurs who love what they do. They listen to clients — they learn their clients. And thus, they make magic happen… don’t event try to figure out how they do it but they do (ESP?!) and you can’t believe how amazing it is.
I can’t commit to a dentist, an eye doctor or a favorite place to get a coffee. But I’m hopelessly devoted to Hoot & Heart.
