For the massagoholics out there: Oji, the deep tissue massage guru, has the touch. I tried out numerous massage spots in the LA area until I found him. I had been struggling with a stubborn stiffness and pain in my neck for months and had done several acupuncture and massage treatments. But, less than a minute into my massage session with Oji, I could tell he clearly knew what he was doing. He found the knot right away and started working on it and around it. I was pain free 2 days later. The foot massage was undoubtedly an amazing experience too. I cannot give him enough stars for his excellence. Sherry, the owner of the spa, is an amazing lady who is committed to providing good service.

I’ve had numerous facials at various locations throughout the west side and the one I received by Edy at this place is one of the best. I went in two weeks ago for the first time with a Groupon for two microdermabrasion treatments. Edy was working the front desk and was very welcoming. She asked me it I would like to upgrade to the full facial with extractions, mask and Something pumpkin scented that had me craving pumpkin pie. But anyways she made sure I was comfortable throughout the treatment. She performed one of the most thorough extractions I’ve ever had. Great experience all around. I returned this morning for my second microdermabrasion. I didn’t get the full facial this time but still a great experience and she made sure to cover every inch of my face. I would highly recommend facials by Edy, you won’t be disappointed.

I received a microdermabrasion and facial treatment at this place about 2 weeks ago. Immediately, my skin felt smoother, brighter and was not so oily. The women, Edie who completed my treatment was kind and very gentle with my skin. Will go back for future treatments. Also, there is some street parking available.

Updating my rating to 5 stars — I have now been seeing Sherry at La Beaute Spa for almost three years now and I can’t recommend her highly enough. My skin is glowing, and people frequently tell me I look younger than my age — which I attribute to good skin care, and regular maintenance facials and peels by Sherry.
Sherry really cares about her clients and takes the time to make sure I look my best, tackling problem areas and sometimes going above and beyond to get rid of a pesky spot or sun damage.

I took my mother in today to get permanent make up on her eyebrows. I was skeptical due to the reviews but we went anyway and Sheri was nothing but professional and very sweet. She did a great job and her consultation before the procedure was awesome. She gave us some suggestions on my moms original «look» she was looking for and the outcome was great. We left happy and the price is excellent for the quality of service. I believe that Unilocal can be a misinterpretation of a business because you can’t possibly please everyone. And the ones that aren’t happy are the first to Unilocal!So I am happy so thank you Sherri!

This was my first time getting a body wrap but it was amazing.
They gave me disposable underwear which was nice.
They paint your entire body with Dead Sea mud and then after wrap you in a thermal blanket. This also includes a head and face massage which was very relaxing. I definitely recommend trying this if you haven’t already

I don’t recommend this place for teeth whitening at all. What a waist of time. I bought a groupon for 40.00 for one session. There is no where to park. When I walk in the lady at the front had me fill out some type of email list that needed a password. I said excuse me but why does it need a password. She said just put anything? OK? She took me to the room. She did not explain anything. No before or after expectations. She just Told me to open mouth. She added the gel and light. Walk out and left door wide open? Really. I notice, I started to drool. I was looking for a towel, Like HELP! Noting. She came back took the stuff out of my mouth and gave me a cup of water and said the restroom is over there. My thoughts. Ok thank you. She left. She when back to the front and did not say anything. Weird. I came back and got my stuff and walk out. Not once did I hear her say thank you. Are you ok or anything. Straight dry. Wow. To think they run a business like this. By the way my teeth look the same. I did not see any improvement AT ALL!!! Never ever again. I don’t care if it’s even free.

I have been coming to Sherri for waxing, facials, microdermabrasion and now massage for almost 25 years and have found Sherri to be knowledgeable, kind, professional and accommodating… Sherri is fabulous and only wants the best for her customers. I only let her take care of my skin!

fuck this place n that blind, arrogant, empathetic, nasty, old bitch sherri!!! im a disabled woman and unable to nicely apply makeup. i went in to have permanent makeup done «eyebrows n eyeliner». i was first surprised to have called in one morning and get an appointment within 3 hours time.
even though i had her draw the shape of the eyebrow first, she tattooed them different «thin n very arched» then what i wanted. plus they didnt even match!!! then the eyeliner is where i have the biggest problem. the ink bled/​migrated to my eyelid n looked blue n i called her to tell her this and she didnt want to believe me, so i went in so she could take a look at it herself. she looked at it and was saying it was fine, i told her that the neospren she told me to apply 5 times a day or sunlight may have cause it to fade but she kept insisting that there was nothing wrong n it looked good. but after two weeks of waiting to see if it got better n it didnt, i went in and told her to stop lying n admit she fucked up!!! she said she didnt care n to go do what i wanted. she then tried to kick me out and when i wouldnt leave she called the police. now the only way to remove ink that spread is by laser n since its so close to my eye its dangers n tattoo removal places wont do it.

Excellent spa!
If you read, bad reviews are mainly of people who want to change times or days of appts. Not really for the services.
I have had microdermabrasion treatments there and they are amazing. My face tends to get black spots and with their micro I go back to normal again.
The first time i tried it, like in 2012, I was a little hesitant but Sherry made me feel very comfortable and I got the package. It worked amazingly.
Sherry explained the process she’s really nice and polite. Edy is amazing too. The place very clean, calm. The music is so relaxing. I love it!
I need to go back.
I have experimented other places and I don’t like them. Sherry and her team are very professional.
The place is semi far from where I work/​live but I will make the effort and go back again. I strongly recommend it!

This is a wonderful place for facials. I was given a gift that included microdermabrasion. Weeks after my treatment my colleagues we’re complementing me on how great my skin looked.

I am having a very good experience with the spa, my treatment and Sherry. I orginally came in for IPL and after discussing this treatment with Sherry, we decided on a different course of action for my skin. I bought a package which made following the treatment protocol very reasonable. I am excited to see the outcome in a couple of months. Sherry’s experience in Europe and now here in LA (a competitve spa and skincare market) give me confidence in her knowledge and advice. I get a sense of pride and pleasure in her expertise/​job/​spa and a sense of care about making my skin the best it can be.

Bought a groupon for 2 ipl’s and called to make an appointment (fyi. without reading Unilocal reviews) i didn’t have my groupon number at the time I called so the receptionist told me to call back with the number. Ok that was cool. I had to work that same day so I didnt have a chance to call but I had 2 messages saying if i dont call back they cant keep my appointment. My appointment was cancelled when i called the next day. I made an other appointment and because of an emergency had to cancel 2 hours prior and was told, not in a nice way, I lost my groupon. Then I read their Unilocal reviews and I dont even want my other treatment!

Misunderstanding fixed

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR TEETH WHITENING. I received an email from the owner regarding my review, somehow i felt threatened although my review is a complete and honest objective i have received from this business. my review is completely based on the treatment i received
PARKING:
Free parking at the back of the establishment. If you can’t find parking there is metered parking in the front or just park I guess in Von’s supermarket which the front desk told me too if I can’t find parking.
PLACE:
Bathroom is clean, but so many cluttered like everywhere. They need to fix their interior design. The less is better, and properly organize their stuff is a must! Definitely needed make over .
SERVICE:
The girl who did my treatment she is nice, but very poor service since before she did my treatment. She never even offered to gargle prior to treatment. There is no prep. Right away you get seated and boom, application here and there, first 20 mins and second 20 mins. She constantly check on me though which is nice and after my treatment she asked me to gargle in the bathroom. Lol I have to walk all the way to the bathroom to do my post treatment. And she didn’t even close the door where am laying down. My privacy is completely open to anyone sitting in the waiting room. I was in the first room on the right side, I can even wave to my boyfriend while am getting my treatment .
When I checked my teeth nothing’s really happen. I got the deal from groupon. I decided to try it since it’s pretty good deal for the price but it actually waste of money!!! I definitely not going back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. It’s a waste of money. My teeth is already white to begin with, since I regularly have my teeth whiten at least 6 months. But this teeth whitening they have is a joke.
They don’t even have a proper dentist equipment and let me tell you what service they did to me didn’t work at all. Do me a favor if you guys looking for a good deal in groupon for teeth whitening i suggest choose a dentist clinic not a spa! You will save a money and time.
* I am aware that this is a spa, but offering such treatment should at least know how to perform pre and post treatment and at least proper equipment. we as costumer strive for the best experience and treatment .
*I was asked by the owner in his email what kind of miracle in my treatment i expect? i do not ask for miracle i expected that the advertisement will deliver what it was stated or at least somehow show some results.
*the price will matter whether we get it in a good deal, low or high, but it will be useless if what you pay you believe doesn’t not deliver what it promise or what is was been selling.
*privacy of the patient should take into consideration. while i was having treatment door is open and people walking in the spa, can see me lying on the table while am having my treatment, which make me complete uncomfortable.

Did a teeth whitening last week at this place, the technician was polite and seemed to know what she was doing, the place is clean and bright and have a few parking spots at the back for customers.

I had a groupon for laser teeth whitening at the spa. First of all, Edith was very warm and inviting when I walked in. The place was very serene and made me feel relaxed. Throughout the process, Edith checked on me every 10 minutes or so to make sure I was comfortable. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely go back. Thank you Edith!

I just read their official company reply to my post. Again, they completely ignored the issues that angered me and just restated their policy which isn’t even the issue. Again, as I stated before, they are very bad listeners.
For one thing, their treatments were too far apart to work as they should, as I’ve stated before. As far as the ONE appointment I cancelled with less than 24 hours notice… She is ignoring that fact that she inappropriately and offensively handled the situation with a paying client when I was very professional with their company. It was like she was taking out a bad day on a stranger who just told her that her family member was dying (which he did later that day). I didn’t call demanding anything and was extremely polite. I very nicely ASKED the receptionist if they would make the exception that time. But instead of showing some empathy (even if the answer was no which I’d understand), that awful lady just came on the phone instead and was so shockingly rude I had to hang up on her. The last thing a person needs when faced with a life and death situation of a loved one is a stranger berating you for asking if they can still change their appointment with less than 24 hours notice. Totally uncalled for… A professional business would have expressed their apologies that they could not honor it in a sympathetic tone, which I would have understood. So again, I stand by what I said before… They are unprofessional, have a bad attitude, rude, offer very poor service (since she insisted that I had to wait longer than what I know the recommended length is), and should just not be the service industry. I realize everyone’s experience will differ but, if this is how I was treated, it could very easily happen to you too.
