Established in 2003.

Partners Daniel McGee and Catherine Lerer opened their firm based on two principles:

1. A focus on serious injury and wrongful death cases, and

2. Smaller case load

By focusing on serious injury and wrongful death cases, and maintaining a smaller case load, we are able to achieve a level of personalized service that you are unlikely to find at other firms.

We do not have a wall of secretaries and assistants separating us from our clients. Attorneys Daniel and Catherine are always available to take our clients’ calls and believe it is important to do so. By maintaining close contact with our clients, we are able to understand the losses they have suffered, and we are able to communicate those losses to the insurance company. That is how we achieve maximum compensation for our clients and their families.

The firm has four locations to serve our clients: Santa Monica, Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Pasadena. The attorneys are available for after hours and weekend appointments.

Catherine L.

Business Owner

Attorney Daniel McGee attended USC for undergraduate, followed by Whittier College School of Law. Since his admission to the State Bar of California in 1994, he has attained millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts.

Prior to founding McGee, Lerer & Associates, he managed one of California’s top personal injury law firms, where he helped obtain a records verdict (over $ 25,000,000) against a California Sheriff’s Department.

Attorney Catherine Lerer attended UCLA, followed by Whittier College School of Law. She was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1993.

Ms. Lerer is a veteran in the courtroom. She is known and respected by present and retired judges. She prides herself on being an aggressive advocate and will demand nothing less than full compensation for her injured clients and their families.

I was in a car accident on July 31st and it was honestly the worse experience that I have been through because I am only 20 I had never experienced anything on that magnitude. The person that hit my car ran from the scene and I had to be removed from the car by firefighters using the jaws of life. Since there was so much commotion and confusion my boyfriend who was also in the car with me and I were unable to get the other drivers insurance or license plate number. I had to be taken to the hospital in the ambulance, but I was not aware of how expensive medical and ambulances bills are. My car was a complete loss and I had over $ 17,000 dollars in debt because of my medical bills. Being so young I had no idea what to do and my boyfriend and I found McGee Lerer & Associates. We made the choice of contacting Catherine and she responded right away and has always been easy to reach. When accidents happen it’s hard to trust lawyers because you never really know how the outcome is going to be, but choosing McGee Lerer and Associates gave me piece of mind because it’s noticeable when people actually care about your phone calls, concerns, and struggles. Working with Catherine was such a good experience because she helped me in every way she could. The people she works with are all helpful and put in so much work to try and make things happen faster. I hope that I never have to go through dealing with anything that I had to deal with after the accident, but I would want to work with McGee Lerer & Associates again because they are actually are there to help and guide you through things that can be so stressful when you deal with it on your own. I would also recommend them to anyone I know because the help I received I feel really made a difference on how things played out after the accident. I am beyond thankful for having the right kind of help when I needed it.

I contacted Catherine Lerer from viewing the many positive reviews she received on Unilocal.After having experienced two flakey attorney’s prior, it was refreshing to speak with an attorney who personally answered the phone (when she was out of the office) and took over a half hour asking detailed questions and offering stellar hands-​on advise. Since my case was comparatively small (no broken bones), she suggested I consider taking on the case myself, and if I wasn’t satisfied with the final settlement offer from the insurance company, to then hire an attorney. Catherine nearly spent more time with me than my last attorneys. I wish I would have contacted her first!
