If your hair is medium length or longer, stay away! This Barbershop is all about buzz cuts and really short hairstyles. If your hair is nothing like those, go elsewhere. I wanted to keep the top of my hair long. The barber buzz cut too much and am now left with too much buzz cut on the sides. Their expertise seems to be using the clippers(e.g., buzz cuts), but they don’t have the finesse when using scissors for longer hair. Oh, and if you’re not getting a buzz cut, be prepared to pay the higher rate($ 22) instead of the lower rate.

It’s really between 1 and 2 star my experience was a little disturbing. This review only pertains to the The barber who is first all the way to your left as you enter, there are only three chairs as I recall. Perhaps this Barber was having a bad day but he comes across as generally psychotic, unfriendly, arrogant and well a bit rude. Too fast on my hair… but this was a blessing ad i got to leave faster. As for his hair cutting skills, who cares as uncomfortable as I was I would have let Stevie Wonder cut my hair. No business sense for this barber, still counting money and tip and he took what was in my hand and walked away I was considering more money for a tip(I always tip too much) but decided to bail… In fairness the other two seemed totally no enjoying their work and quite skilled. I even went so far as to call the next day to see if perhaps I could speak with him and straighten a troublesome event… and I asked for the guys name and he lied to me. Frightening but this guy holds a very sharp razor to how many next throughout the course of the day?

Danny is the best barber in the world!!! He takes his time, is very clean and does not rush the cut at all. His tools of the trade are always clean and sanitize and I have never ever gotten a bad rash or bumps on my neck or head.

By far the worst barber shop i’ve ever been to! The barber was rude to me and told me that I am being difficult because I was unsure how much he should cut. My usual hairstyle is parting it to the right and I told him that is the style I do and want to maintain. He ends up cutting it super short on the sides and keeping the middle long, putting it in perspective, it looked like a toupe. This is the type of haircut I would expect from a blind kindergartner. I even told him that this is a disaster. He attempted to fix this by cutting one side much shorter from the other side causing half my hair to stick up. I am surprised a man like this was hired, I only wish I could have gotten his name to warn the world to avoid seeing him. I am sure the other barbers are decent, unfortunately I had the experience no one should endure. My girlfriend could not stop laughing at me while making jokes how Donald trumps toupe looks nicer than my hair. I ended up shaving my head when I came home. For the sake of your hair, please avoid this place

Pete is awesome. Gives amazing haircuts, and takes his time to make sure everything is perfect. I have asian hair. You will NOT be disappointed.

Dario hooks it up, but I’ve sat in a couple other chairs and never regretted it. Until I recently moved back to school and found I just can’t get cuts as crispy as the boys at Pico. I would and have recommended to anybody who wants a good barber.

Thankful I found this place, only 1 block from my place! I’ve come twice now, once on a busy Sat afternoon, and another on a quieter Thurs morning. Waited less than 10 mins each time. Both Anthony and Dario are excellent – you can tell they’re detail-oriented and make sure you’re satisfied with your haircut. Definitely worth the $ 17(plus tip), great price for the Westside anyway.

I’ve been here a few times for regular cuts and concluded that the barbers have little experience with cutting Asian hair. seems like they can cut other hair just fine, otherwise I recommend going elsewhere.

Came in for a haircut, waited 30 minutes without even an acknowledgement, and ended up leaving because I had no idea how long it was going to take. No one gave me eye contact either.

In town for a week and needed a shape up. Dario took his time and cut me just as good as my barber did back home. Whenever I am in LA again, I will hit him up. Highly recommend him.

People constantly ask where I get my haircuts because Danny @ PB does a hella job on my hair all for $ 17(before tip)! The dude is humble and his coworkers always have some good sports talks going on too. Check them out! Thanks Danny!

Horrible!!! I just went to this place today and they completely destroyed my haircut. I even showed the man a picture of how I wanted my haircut but he just proceeded to shave me bald. Not to mention he had absolutely no hand-eye coordination because my hair is currently uneven. If you are looking for a great barber and great service, you’re better off letting your dog cut your hair with blindfolds. RUNFARAWAYFROMTHISPLACE.

This place is awesome. Danny spent a long time on my hair and was extremely meticulous about his craft. $ 22 plus I threw him $ 5 tip. I’ll be back!

This place is awesome. It’s inexpensive and clean. Sometimes the wait time sucks but I’m guessing that’s because they are good!

There were lots of reviews that averaged out to five stars, so I thought it was a no brainer. I was very hopeful. I even drove out of my way to check it out. Next time, I’m going to think twice about these reviews. My biggest pet pieve –You tell the barber how you want your hair(because they asked), and they end up shaving most of your hair off and un-evenly. What’s so hard about a clean up and not too short! Not everyone wants a military look. I certainly don’t. I should have left when I noticed everyone’s head was shaved off… my bad.

Old school barber shop. Prices $ 17 a haircut compared to other locations around town who charge a lot more. The guys working here are great. They are very skilled, have pleasant personalities, and always entertain with great conversations. If you care about looking good and don’t want to bust the bank, this is the place for a traditional haircut. Wish I could go higher than 5-stars. Thanks guys, see you in 6 weeks.

Amazing! Today was my second haircut at Pico barbers. I used to spend way too much at another franchise«barber shop» but I would never get a consistent cut. After round two at Pico barbers I found my home. I have had my hair cut by two different men and they both nailed it! Great attention to detail and you leave feeling great. Highly recommend for men in the area. Kids too, there were two boys with there dad getting cleaned up.
