I just purchased a new home around the corner from Plantation and heard that this was one place I could get a great custom sofa. I know they are expensive, but this is one thing I am happy to spend extra money on. I was also going to ask about their design services, and there were a few pillows I wanted to buy the day I walked in. But that all changed because when I walked in (on 4⁄15), not only was I not greeted, the woman did not even lift her head up from the counter as she appeared to be engrossed in something very important. Seriously, not even a «hello.» So, I ordered some fabulous new pieces at HD Buttercup. Sorry guys, you missed this one.

Plantation has beautiful, quality pieces. Our experiences for our interior design projects with Ryan Valley was nothing but professional and helpful. For one of our projects, we had ordered a fireplace screen that later needed to be exchanged for a new one. This is the store that has all the furniture you see on those interior design shows on TV when they re-​do some couple’s house… they walk in to see what Jeff Lewis or Nate Berkus did and they open their eyes… and start SCREAMING and JUMPING UP AND DOWN like toddlers at a Wiggles show.

I wanted a dresser to fit in a space that nothing would work in. A friend told me about Plantation and their custom furniture. I was so impressed by the numerous options they have. I got to select my wood color and size and even the hardware I wanted on the drawers. Kelly was so helpful with every step of the process. I love my piece and I love the store. I want my whole place to look like their showroom. It’s like a home away from your home, but richer!

Plantation has amazing quality, custom designs, extremely talented and helpful staff (Ashley in Venice is the best ever), and the most fabulous fabrics/​leathers/​vinyls of any store in LA. (And I’ve been to them all). I’m heading back for a huge sectional — they were the only ones to be able to make exactly what I want. Yes, their prices for certain things are high — you want hand-​tied coil seats in your sofa… ouch. You fall in love with $ 90/​yard vinyl (huh?) and they won’t cut you a better deal… ouch. Yet, their design, the details… their furniture art becomes your home’s centerpeice. And the fact that it is a top-​quality centerpeice makes it all worth it.

This place is great. They have some really great stuff and can custom design anything. The customer service is awesome. So friendly and helpful. Ashley helped me with some design ideas, spent a lot of time with me and no pressure to buy. It was a pleasure to shop there. They get 5 stars for merchandise and especially for customer service. I rated 4 stars overall because the big items are a bit pricey – at least for me.
