Specialties
Mobile art teacher! Private fine art classes in your studio or home are supportive, one-on-one art lessons for all levels in the Santa Monica and surrounding areas. Ages 5 – 95. I give my students the opportunity to develop creative confidence and the personal freedom and skills to draw and paint whatever they are interested in, and with the mediums of their choice (pastels, watercolors, acrylics, oils, sketching).
Private Art Coach is exactly that… I come to your home or studio and coach you at your own level, based on what you want and need. You may be a group of moms wanting a once-a-week wine, cheese and painting club; you may retired and always wanted to learn to draw or improve your painting; you may have a child that is functional autistic who would benefit from personal attention in learning to draw and paint. Whatever your artist goals may be, teaching art is my passion. Creativity is within each of us, and my goal is to help that quality blossom in everyone I coach.
History
Established in 2014.
Experience Highlights
2007 to now I have taught private fine art classes to kids and adults, including owning Art Is Joy in Pasadena until moving to Santa Monica when I became Private Art Coach.
2000 – 2007 I co-founded and was VP and Director of Art and animation Education for XOW!, a family owned/operated, online animation software company. I originated the idea for our flagship software product, Xipster FullStop™, award winning stop-motion animation software application now used in schools in 18 countries. I ran summer animation camps for children two years in a row and programs at private and public elementary and middle schools in Culver City and Beverly Hills.
1988 – 1999 I was Director of Mission: Renaissance in Pacific Palisades and I taught fine art drawing and painting techniques to children, teens and adults, including figure drawing. I trained many instructors who were then placed in other studios.
