Rumba

A few months ago, I made the somewhat impulsive decision to relocate from my longtime home of Nashville, Tennessee, selling my house and moving to sunny Los Angeles. In the process, I left behind a considerable number of pieces of furniture and art that I’d eventually have shipped to California. I moved into a beautiful cottage in the Pacific Palisades with little else besides my dog and my clothes! In a day’s time, Kimba had completely transformed my lovely cottage into a lush, gorgeous home, a space where I felt inspired and enlivened, with custom curtains, colorful textiles, and an incredible collection of vintage furniture. She even hung my shower curtain! These pieces are so unusual and wonderful — things I never would have found on my own — and they work perfectly with the pieces I eventually had shipped from Nashville!
I could not have been more pleased with Kimba’s SpeedDesign™. She truly changed my life and everyone who has seen my house has been amazed at how quickly and affordably she made this my new home. The result was exactly what I wanted!

Kimba Hills has great taste. The store is packed with treasures. Most of the furniture is mid century but always with flair not found in the larger stores. She has a great eye for detail and is extremely helpful. I know when I go in that I will find something I love (may have to give up going out for a month to pay for it) but worth it. I love shopping in areas of Los Angeles that are unexpected. This is one of the best I have found!!!

Another great Ocean Park shop! This one sells furniture of the mid-​century modern ilk. Kimba Hills, the owner, is a furniture designer and has excellent taste. I loved the dining room set she had put together. The chairs were so comfy. She had a great corner sectional in the back that would be perfect for a stylish small apartment. If i only i could get it myself! Don’t overlook this place in favor of all the fanfare on Beverly.
