History
Established in 2003.
Sarah Clifford Scheflen, M.S., CCC-SLP, founded her private practice to compliment her continuing dual role as the senior speech-language pathologist on staff at an intensive partial-hospitalization program for autism located at a major public research university located in Los Angeles, California, where Sarah has provided therapy to hundreds of children with autism spectrum disorders and also conducted research into treatment modalities.

Business Owner
Sarah Clifford is a pediatric clinical speech-language pathologist who specializes in working with children with autism and other developmental disorders. She works exclusively with children, primarily between the ages of 12 months to 8 years.
Sarah is one of the handful of therapists certified (as opposed to merely trained) by the PROMPT Institute in the PROMPT technique, which is a well-regarded instruction modality that is often particularly effective for children with apraxia. In addition, she has extensive training and experience with a variety of other instruction modalities, including the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), floor time, TEACCH, and various programs of The Hanen Centre.
She is a frequent speaker and guest lecturer, and her research focus is on teaching play and social skills through video modeling. Sarah is also the co-founder of Teach2Talk, LLC, a producer of educational products including video-modeling DVDs.
