Walking down 3rd Street today looking for a place to eat and I happen to glance to the side and see this hidden gem!(literally & figuratively) I am instantly greeted by this sweet woman behind the stones counter. Unfortunately I did not catch her name :( I wasn’t planning on purchasing anything but they had many stones, candles, figurines, etc. An Opalite stone was calling to me so I ended up asking her to see it and she laid them all out for me(I already knew which one I wanted). I walked out with six stones for only $ 22! Three for myself, and three for my grandma, which she gave excellent recommendations based on what I was looking for. All of the stones were beautiful and very reasonably priced, especially for the size. I would love to come back but she said they will be closing within the month and are not sure where they will be moving to– yet. So I signed up for their email list haha. Good vibes & energy all around :)

I typically see a movie on Friday nights, quite often at the AMC Santa Monica 7. Afterwords I Iike to stroll around the 3rd Street Promenade and check out all the stores, small boutiques and kiosks. For more years than I know I have especially enjoyed Shiva Imports for it’s lovely sights and smells — purchasing sticks of incense, bracelets and many chackas. The staff is always attentive and kind, but last night I was delighted to spend some time chatting with the owner. This gentlemen is warm and friendly, and he is the old fashioned type of person who’s passion for his profession shows easily on his smiling face. Last night I purchased 3 bracelets, two adorable purple animal chackas and a small woven bag for Mom — for a total under $ 90. I hope that this store will not fall victim to the sad turn of events which sees so many long time stores and restaurants on or near the Promenade closing.(I was stunned to see that George’s Bistro next door has closed — my family had been going there for 20 years.)

The owner is very nice and even gave me a little lesson on chakras, and different types of crystals. They have a nice variety of crystals and incenses although they are a little bit overpriced

Never have I ever tried incense, but I figured at these prices, why not give it a go? I bought 24 sticks for 4 dollars. What was weird was that the smaller sticks of incense were more expensive. Anyway, I was told that if you hold 3 boxes of each scent at a time, you can get an accurate sense of its smell. So I did that. The flavors I picked were rose, lavender, and jasmine. They have a couple dozen to choose from. The incense base was overpriced, so I decided to put each stick in a shot glass filled with rice as a makeshift base. My place smells awesome. Thank you, Shiva Imports!

I really love this store but their prices are all over the place. The shawls and scarves are beautiful, and fairly priced but their incense is more than double other shops in town, and Amazon. Definitely worth checking out, but be aware of their prices…

GREATSERVICE! I ordered two nose rings online and had not received them(I wasn’t receiving a lot of my mail– USPS’ fault, not theirs!) so I called to confirm they had sent the nose rings and they said they would happy to send me two more! Soooo nice of them considering it was in no way their fault! Thank you sooo much! I love the nose rings as well :)

I have been to many shops in the greater LA area that specialize in metaphysical goods and I have to say that I’ve never walked out of a shop and felt lingering good energy. I went in to buy some crystals specifically for chakra work and I was helped by Danni. She was very knowledgeable, kind and helpful. They have candles, and a good assortment of crystals, incense, tarot cards ect. Since I live in Santa Monica I will shop here again

Terrible customer service. I was told when I came in to return some incense that cost $ 8.00 and smelled really bad that I couldn’t return OR exchange it. The cincher was when I said they would be loosing a customer over $ 8.00 that they were OK with that! Crazy! As I’ve spend lots of money in the past at this establishment. Any business that is OK with loosing customers is not a good business. It makes sense that these stores are loosing out to places like . At least there you can return something if you don’t like it. Take head: don’t buy anything from here unless you’re absolutely sure you want to be stuck with it. They have a no return policy. Only exchange. And if you open a product, like incense, and don’t like it, oh well, you’re business isn’t all that important to this place anyways. RUDE! BOO!

This is a great store and I love the jewelry here. They also have a good selection of world music and the energy of this place is great. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. I always pop in here when I’m on the Promenade and rarely leave empty handed.

While this shop is has a wonderful location on the 3rd Street Promenade, it seems that they cater to the tourist or metaphysical dabbler crowd, covering a WIDE range of practices without any main focus. You can find many of the items they stock at better prices either in other locations in Santa Monica, or via the Internet. On the positive side, their store is quite open, brightly lit, and easily accessible. If you’re looking for a quick incense or cd pickup, or are just starting out on your Path, then this is the place to start.

Great store. It’s on 3rd street promenade santa monica and this store is open late so you can visit it like a museum. It has plenty decorative things and SMELLSTICKS The thing I like about buying smell sticks in this store is the description of every smell: some of them are for relaxation, others are for love and sensation. Always good to know that is inside of your lungs. People who work here is friendly and fully answer all the questions you ask even if they are not very clever(It is great quality cos in most of the stores sales people just offer to check it out in the internet.) Great store to visit on 3rd street

Love this place! I went looking for specific holiday gifts and they had exactly what I was looking for @ reasonable prices. They have a nice collection crystals and stones, incense, clothes, jewelry, ornaments and lots of other items. To top it off, the staff is patient, kind and joyful.

I always go to this wonderful place on the promenade for incense. They have a broad selection at a reasonable price, and I always end up getting lost in everything else they have when I initially just came for incense! Very cool colorful dresses and jewelry, and little things that are fun to look at. Oh, and they have bundles of sage! :)

I LOVESHIVAIMPORTS!!! This place has great things to enhance your spiritual path. Also there’s tons of traditional Indian clothing which is now in style… throw on an Indian top with a pair of jeans and some blingy earrings BOOM your ready to go out. Hottness! This place has inspired my next tattoo. I stumbled across a chart of the Chinese astrology signs and my year(the year of the tiger) described me so spot on that i am now getting the symbol of the year of the tiger on my foot :) Also they have some great jewelry and cute tanks. Def worth checking this place out

I consider Shiva Imports to be the spiritual center of 3rd Street Promenade. I always find candles, essential oils and incense to use for magical workings or ambiance at Shiva Imports. Shiva Imports also stocks a wide assortment of tarot cards, crystals and gemstones and many world music CDs. I love the music at Shiva Imports. Many titles are appropriate for use by hypnotherapists(like myself!), massage therapists and reiki practitioners. Shiva Imports also offers a small selection of books, a large display of statues and other art and some clothes. Shiva Imports has great finds. I love Shiva Imports.

Shiva offers an assortment of slightly-over-priced imports from India. I love to browse but I rarely buy. I have picked up a few nice skirts here and the occasional delicious-smelling box of incense.
