Description

Specialties

Sonki Fitness is one of the original boot camps in the US established in 2002 by a 5-time World Fitness Champion and former US Army Captain Sonki Hong. What makes it unique and special is that the program uses a positive and fun approach to inspire clients to get in top shape versus yelling and screaming like other typical boot camps. Sonki created the program based on his experience working with people from all walks of life (military, civilians, athletes, celebs, and more), so it really is designed for ALL ages and levels (we even have an 87-year old great grandma!). Many people have called it a «life changing experience» and «the best workout they’ve ever done.» When you’re in his program, you really do feel like you have a «personal trainer» who genuinely cares about your health and well being. We have had over 4000 clients successfully graduate from our program since 2002. Currently, we provide fun outdoor boot camps throughout the LA area and fitness vacations to Maui, Oahu, and Fiji.

Meet the Business Owner

Sonki H.

Business Owner

The founder Sonki Hong got an early start in fitness as a star athlete in school and as the #1 graduate from West Point in physical fitness. He then went on to serve in the US Army as an Intelligence Officer and Master Fitness Trainer, leading and training soldiers to be in top shape for combat. After serving in the Army for several years and then the corporate world for a few, he decided to pursue his lifelong passion for fitness and helping others by starting Sonki Fitness in 2002. Learning firsthand from his father who is a Presbyterian pastor, Sonki created his program based on the positive approach using inspiration and motivation versus intimidation. When you’re in his class, he encourages you to smile and have fun because getting in shape should be enjoyable and a positive experience.
