Can’t say enough great things about this place. Armand the owner is wonderful. If you want a gorgeous sofa/​sectional made exactly to your taste, this is where to go. And when you think about what you’re getting and the fact that prices aren’t too much more than a West Elm/​Crate and Barrel sofa, it’s a fantastic value. Thank you Stansbury!

I give Stansbury Collection 10 stars on all counts! My boyfriend and I ordered a custom sofa. We had been looking for months. Plus I am a vegan and most stores were like «So just get the baby duck feather filling: you have no other options. Just make a donation to an animal rescue organization.» (I kid you not)
We found Stansbury from a referral from a friend. We were remodeling due to a leak and were living in a hotel at the time, I supposed we jumped the gun. It was BIG (we had a large empty wall, and the boyfriend says «Yes we can have a 10 foot couch!» I’m like… sounds awfully large but I am not great with these things… After all Stansbury collection can make us ANYTHING WE WANT!!! Including «Vegan filling» Its called Trillium – yay Stansbury!!!
So we ordered it.
Come to realize it is HUGE for our not so big condo. Not only that, but we did not realize how many mishaps would occur in our remodel! SO TOO BIG AND TOO EARLY! WAY too early.
Armand the owner – SO PATIENT– so kind. Made it work for us in every way. So accomodating.
Quality: 10. Comfort: 10. Service and Jackie the sales associate: 10. Trillium filling: 10.

Having just moved to the area, we are so happy to have discovered The Stansbury Collection. Armand measured my room and customized the sectional to fit perfectly. It looks great and the best part is that it is very comfortable. I also purchased a chair, ottoman and bedside tables. I’m impressed with the quality of the items and incredible service from Armand, Jackie and Janelle.

I just received a beautiful sofa sectional from Stansbury Collection. It was delivered in the seven days as promised. I couldn’t be more happy with what Stansbury Collection had to offer. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for great furniture and delivered in a timely matter! We love our new sectional!

When I walked into the store, I immediately loved the look & style of The Stansbury Collection. I was greeted in a warm & friendly manner & I was happy to hear that all of their sofas & custom furnishings are 100% MADE right here in Los Angeles!
I needed a custom size, slip covered (aka pet friendly :) sofa to accommodate an odd shaped room & needed it ASAP. I scheduled an appointment & the sales associate came to my home, took measurements, quickly & easily helped me make all of the decisions that I had been stuck on for months. Leave it to a professional to get the job done! The sofa arrived in less than 7 days, sleek, modern & slip covered to perfection! Better than I could have imagined. Three of my friends have now ordered custom sofas & other furnishings & they are all as happy as I am! The Stansbury Collection will customize designer inspired furniture at affordable prices & what was most important to me was the fact that I was supporting a local business owner & our local economy with my purchase. I had the worst experience with this vendor! Save yourself and do not do business at this shop. I went in to have 4 dining room chairs reupholstered. They told me they were happy to do them and would have them in one week. They told me I had to pay the total balance up front, nearly $ 700. Then three days later the store called and said I needed to come in a speak to the owner. So I went in. The owner then started telling me he undercharged me, that the chairs were more work than what I was paying and that he wasn’t even sure his upholsterer could recover them. I asked why he took my money and processed my order if he didn’t think they could do them. He then started yelling at me in the shop, making me feel incredibly uncomfortable. He finally agreed to refund my money, but could not return the chairs for a few days because he didn’t want to go downtown to his factory. He then couldn’t figure out how to use his credit card machine and had to go to the next store over to get assistance. He was incredibly rude and unprofessional. As I was leaving the shop another customer had heard the owner yelling and asked me if I was okay. Do yourself a favor and find furniture elsewhere.

I had been shopping around for a sofa and found that finding a place that makes a quality custom piece of furniture is no easy feat. While there were many options to choose from they lacked in customer service (I hate giving my money to people like that) and expensive. Not only were Armand and Jeanette very friendly, but my couch is absolutely beautiful! It’s nice to know there are still some good companies out there. Cheers, Stansbury Collection!

We had Armond design and ship a custom ordered sofa to San Francisco to replace a custom sofa we bought from him 13 years ago.
Armond makes high end furniture for a great price.
The design process is fun and you get to pick the style and fabric for a one of a kind piece.
The sofa arrived in perfect condition, the shipping company moved the sofa into my home unwrapped it and cleaned up all the wrapping materials.
I feel good about myself for having ordered from Stansbury Collection and adding a quality custom item to my home. Hopefully you will have the opportunity to design and own one of these quality sofas, I highly recommend the shop!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Stansbury furniture! We seriously use Armand’s custom designed pieces throughout our home! Our home looks contemporary, clean, and timeless. All the pieces we have are high end, durable, easy to clean, and comfortable! We have custom mirrors, sofa, ottoman, bed frames, and drawers around our home which just looks absolutely luxurious!

We have had a great experience with each and every piece of furniture We’ve had made at the Stansbury Collection! Armand the owner makes it fun if you want to design it yourself or if you want him to create a special custom anything he can do it. Also many things in the store to buy right of the floor, got to love that! Our home is now filled with Stansbury from the best sofa chaise, another sofa sofa (so comfortable), an amazing dinning table w/​custom chairs and bench, media cabinet, two beautiful bed frames and on and on… You name it and he can make it and just the way you want!!! When I walked in to the store about a year ago I new iI found a gem :)))) And great prices too.

Found my L couch here after lots of research! The process was super fast. The couches are made locally as opposed to getting something made in China that takes 6 weeks to get delivered! I was able to enjoy mine within less than a week! Armand, the owner, is super friendly and accessible. Overall — great experience.

Cool vintage feeling furniture. I’m always looking for something unique for my design clients and this place could be a store for me to shop at in the future.
The salesperson was helpful and friendly. She showed me around the place and told me that they make much of their furniture. In my opinion, this store’s style is appropriate for the successful 30’s crowd. It reminds me of used furniture from the 1970’s, but it is has been cleaned up and looks new. It is hip in a not-​yet-​hip way.
There was a gray connected sofa and lounge in a side room that I would have wanted for my place. There was something that I can’t put my finger on to describe this place, but I could enjoy owning some of this furniture.

This place is a great find on Abbott Kinney. The owner Armand is soo soo nice and accomodating, and Vanessa is friendly and very helpful too!
These guys do great custom furniture for much less than you’d find at other places… places like the Design District, and Bev Blvd.
No attitude, just very friendly service. Quality workmanship and great choice of materials and fabrics.
If you’ve moved on from Ikea, and cookie cutter places like Pottery Barn and Pier 1, then go see Armand. Bring in pics or show him pieces you like and he will try to replicate it. It’s not cheap but it’s not exhorbantly out of the ballpark either especially because it’s custom and made to order.
They are so nice and so easy to work with!!! Before you go buy that dining room set or that sofa sectional, or credenza — please go see these guys! You might just be surprised (pleasantly!!!)
