Awesome job! We purchased tile from them a few years back for a small bathroom remodel. The experience was so great that we decided to buy from them again when we did a huge remodel of our entire home. We even referred them to a few of our neighbors. You really can’t beat the expertise they provide — not to mention I received an awesome deal as I’m now a loyal customer.
They should get into the hardwood floor business so we can get all our flooring done with them!

I have had a very good experience with Universal Tile and Marble! Sara helped us and was extremely patient and informative. She asked our budget and showed us exactly what we asked for and didn’t go on a crazy up-​sell schpiel. We told her we felt we had to do our due deligence3 and see about other places. Ugh! Wish we didn’t wasted our time. Every other place either ignored us or showed us material we specifically said we DIDN’T want. Everyone else’s prices were WAY higher too. We went back to see Sara and she was totally awesome in continuing to help us out. We left 100% happy and satisfied.

BUYERS BEWARE! DON’T SHOP HERE! Came here to match a tile that was purchased from this store a few years ago. Brought in the EXACT tile that we needed to match. The saleswoman, Sarah, quoted $ 5.85 per sq ft, but ordered the wrong color so we had to wait several more days. The next order came in was the correct color, but she didn’t order the tile with the bevel that we needed and then tried to blame my husband and got nasty and refused to work with him — on HER SECOND MISTAKE. Robert then called to «fix» the issue. Said he’d put a bevel on the tile for an extra $ 100. My husband said that he’d think about it, but couldn’t believe that the salesperson made two mistakes, but tried to blame him for her error. Husband called and said to go ahead and do the bevel. When he went back in today to get the tiles, Robert said he found the exact tile we needed (with the bevel), but now it was $ 7 per sq ft! After being quoted $ 5.85 per sq ft and having to wait because of their errors to then have them raise the price is outrageous! If we could give NEGATIVE STARS, we would! Shameful!

A few years ago, I purchased some granite from Universal Tile and Marble and had a decent experience.
This time around, I found the salesman Max to be completely uninterested in helping me. He was more interested in looking at his computer.
When my granite guy came to pick up the granite that I had already paid for, he found a large crack halfway through the slab. Once again, Max was not apologetic or helpful in any way. He just seemed to not care at all.
Max never checked the granite for me, which is his job to make sure that what he sells is in good condition. Was I supposed to move the three hundred pound piece of granite and check it myself?
Once again, as I waited Max was on his computer looking at personal photos.
After demanding that I get a discount, I ended up speaking with the owner, Robert who made a deal with me to give me 50% off, but only if I returned the unused portion of the granite. Really? I agreed.
Robert never apologized as well.
The salespeople that work here just don’t have good customer service skills. It is really a shame because it is the only Granite Yard in Santa Monica.
I would not recommend this yard. If you can drive to the valley, do that.

Extremely helpful and knowledgable staff that went out of their way to make the difficult experience with remodeling much easier. We would recommend coming here first for the best price, quality and service.

Very clean marble shop! Really love what they did in the place… and they have a wide variety of travertine, granite, quartz, tile and onyx. They also have a slab yard at the back. This shop is big and I love my experience here with my clients. We found the right marble that we’re looking for… Plus they suggest what’s good and what’s not when it comes in decorating your home in terms of color. When it comes to price, they gave us discounts so that we could afford the ones we like…
I recommend visiting this shop if your looking for beautiful and wide variety of choice when it comes to stone. Love the customer service here, they helped and provided me the right stuff that my client wants…
