Way Over Yonder Festival

I’m a fan of Way Over Yonder. It’s supposed to be a branch of Newport Folk Fest, but this year, it felt more like a Jackson Browne concert. Which isn’t a bad thing, Jackson Browne was soooooooooooo awesome, BUT, compared to last year, this year was organized poorly and not as entertaining for an all day event.
Last year, there was music happening all day. Band after band after band after band, and they were all lively and wonderful. How a festival should be. This year, there were huge gaps in between bands, and honestly I only recall one act playing before Browne, because the sound was so low. There were huge dead times, and everyone there was only there for one artist.
In addition, the bathroom stalls they had last year that were so great, were closed off this year. Everyone had to use portable bathrooms. BIG downer.
