Westside Heating & Air Conditioning

We just had Westside Heating & Air Conditioning add an AC unit to our central heating system. They were WONDERFUL !!! They estimated that the job would take one day; maybe one and ½ days… they did the whole thing in 5 hours !!! They were fast, efficient, pleasant and very clean. They explained how to use the system very clearly (twice) and answered any questions we had. We would recommend them VERY HIGHLY !!! Call Ron at (310) 453 — 2880. They are local and family owned. Now I am all ready for the next brutal summer.

Westside Heating is fantastic! We had three bids for a new HVAC system, including new ducts. Westside Heating was the middle bid. Ron came out and explained everything carefully and helped us choose the right system for our house. Mike, Matt and one other guy came out a week and a half later and did the install in two days. They were professional, friendly and didn’t make any mess. When they finished, Matt talked me through the entire system, explaining the maintenance I could do myself and when to call them for service. Ron called this morning to check and see if we were happy and if we had any questions. If you need service or new HVAC, you have to call these guys! Don’t go with the cheapest service, go with real professionals who have been doing this for a long time. Westside Heating guys are amazing! You get what you pay.

Whole-​heartedly recommend Westside Heating & AC! Purchasing a new HVAC system was not on my holiday wish list… yet exceeded all expectations. I was green… had never ventured into the HVAC world… and thankful I found Westside Heating & Air Conditioning. Ron was extremely knowledgable, helpful during the initial inspection and proposal stage. And the team that installed it; very efficient, considerate and helpful. What a nice change to work with a team that cares… vs. a large conglomerate with an «employee» (i.e. a contractor) in my home for installation. It made a huge difference. Did I mention the pricing was fair and competitive? Don’t prolong the decision… keep warm this winter!

I live in Santa Monica and had a problem with my single family home A/​C on a Friday. I used Unilocal to find suggested local repair service providers and called Westside Heating & Air Conditioning. Just like Jeannette W. (that reviewed their service on 9÷30÷2015), I had a similarly frustrating experience. They first asked me if they installed the unit and I told them I did not know who installed the unit (I did not own the home when it was installed). They spent several minutes describing how they’re a small business and other factors that frankly weren’t very helpful for me when it was mid-​day on a Friday, the temperature in my house was approaching 80 degrees and rising, and I was scrambling to find a repair person to hopefully get it fixed before the weekend. The person answering the phone then told me he was the only one there and I’d need to hold while he answered the other line. I did. Then he came back, asked me several more questions, then said he’d speak with the owner. I held again. Then he came back, gave me the song-​and-​dance again about how they’re a small business and only work on units they install, which led me to ask him a question…“if you only work on units you install, then how do you ever get new customers, unless I guess someone is building a new home & you’re installing the initial unit?”. No answer to that question. I don’t blame him, because I think he just answers the phone, but it was NOT helpful service for me. Basically, after wasting 20 minutes, I was told they couldn’t help me. Obviously, a poor «potential» customer service experience for me. Confusing and aggravating when all I wanted was to see if a repairperson could be paid to come look at my unit and diagnose/​repair any issues. I then called Santa Monica Golden Air, the person answering the phone was very prompt and professional, they sent someone within 90 minutes, and the A/​C was repaired within an hour of the repairman arriving and working again. If you need your A/​C repaired promptly, I suggest you call Santa Monica Golden Air. If you’re an EXISTING Westside Heating & Air Conditioning customer, and they installed your unit, then I guess you should call them?

Wouldn’t even help me. I called about my split unit and they would not help me in any way because I did not originally buy it from them.

Westing Heating & Air were terrific! They are a family run business and have great service and a wonderful. They installed a heating/​AC unit for us and new venting in an old house. Their work was stellar and they a pleasure to deal with and very good pricing. Highly recommend them.

I read the positive reviews and now I have one of my own. Ron (the owner) came to my townhouse in person and recommend the perfect system for my needs. They helped me with the permit process, hired a crane and also upgraded my outdated return air shaft. I even have a wifi thermostat which I can control from my ipad! The system runs great and with the hepa filter, my family is breathing much better. I’m so glad I called Westside Heating and air.

I had such a great experience with these guys last year that I had them come out and do another install! It was so easy and relaxing since I knew that they would do a great job just like before. The exact same guys showed up and did another perfect job and I was totally stress free! Ron, Matt and Jay are the best.

Westside HVAC is fabulous. They were on time for every appointment. They provided clear and easy to understand quotes for the work. They were quick and accommodating when we asked to see the differences in price of alternative system configurations. And in the end, their price for the system we wanted was by far the best. The installation went very smooth and they finished ahead of schedule, even after having to trouble-​shoot and solve a software glitch with the Lennox wifi system. They were clean and professional the entire time they were working in our house. We highly recommend Westside HVAC.

They explained my options for air and heating and the pros and cons of those options before I decided to purchase a split-​unit system. The installation process was painless and fast. Great experience and I love the system.

They installed a new A/​C and attic fan for us yesterday. We already had central heat but Ron noticed the furnace was not installed properly so they fixed that too. They showed up at 8am and were finished by 2:30p. I thought the job would take two days but they are very efficient and know what they are doing. The guys were friendly and respectful of my home and even took time to play tug-​of-​war with my dog! Ron called this morning to see how everything went and schedule a yearly maintenance for the unit. They exceeded my high expectations and I will be recommending them to all of my friends!

These guys are amazing. Family run business that are true experts in air and heating solutions. They provided several options to provide new AC (and replaced our existing heater for a new one) for our house. The install was smooth and painless and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The system is super quiet and works like a champ.
I had several estimates from different companies, but Westside was by far the most professional, responsive and communicated all the options we needed to make the right decision.
I wholeheartedly recommend them for all heating and AC needs.

In short, they were perfect. The slightly longer version is this: we needed a new furnace. The first call brought out a big firm that quoted us $ 7k. We didn’t like their style or the price so we got a second quote from Westside Heating & Air who came in $ 3,000 less for the same system/​service.
It’s a family run operation: Ron came out to inspect, got back to us the next day with several options. We chose and his son Matt did the install quickly and professionally. They called a couple of days after the install to follow up. Our experience was fantastic and I expect this is typical for them.

A terrific family-​owned business

Just had our furnace replaced by Westside Heating. Had 3 estimates and this company was the only one that gave us a complete package together with alternates and pros/​cons of each. The job was completed with no issues and the workmen were excellent. Happy to recommend.

Honestly, these guys were the best. We’d had an AC company come out 5 or 6 years ago to replace our air conditioner, and they put in a piece of crap unit that was so loud it sounded like a Cessna taking off every time we turned on the AC.
I called Westside and talked to Ron… told him our issue and he gave us several options of units, described their pluses and minuses, etc. His partner came to our house to assess our entire system. We ended up replacing the AC unit, our heater /​blower and a majority of our duct work.
When the guys showed up to do the job, they were courteous, communicative and professional. They got the job done on time and cleaned up after themselves. Another thing that was nice for us (being a mono-​lingual household) is that the guys who did the work spoke English — we’ve had a lot of work done on our house over the years and have had some issues communicating with the workers who have very limited English skills. I’d never thought about it before, but after this project, I realize it’s very helpful to have someone on the job who can communicate with us in English.

Westside Heating just finished installing a Trane XV80 furnace and completely redid the ductwork. They did an excellent job, showed up on time and stayed within budget. Their quote was competitive (but not the lowest), and the city inspection after the installation went without any problems. Very happy with both the service and the product provided (the XV80 is super quiet and does a much better job in heating the house than the previous system).

By far one of the most honest and thorough companies I’ve dealt with.
I was in need of replacing two HVAC systems and contacted Westside Heating for guidance. Unfortunately, I don’t live in their service area. After a thorough education by Ron & John concerning details of air flow, manufacturing differences, installation expectations, and expected fair pricing. I was able to make an educated decision for my new HVAC system.
Needless to say, with such a large purchase in front of me, Westside gave me confidence in my choice. Customer service and quality business ethics are such a rarity. Companies such as Westside Heating are far and few between, it’s a pleasure to stumble upon a quality businesses. I’m looking forward to my new HVAC.

These guys are life savers. Long story short, yesterday’s high winds caused a power surge and then an electrical fire in our house. We were lucky to get the fire out with minimal damage to the house itself, but the surge knocked out multiple appliances, including our the fans to our furnaces, leaving us without heat. We had to sleep elsewhere last night because it was too cold for the baby. We had another company lined up to come this afternoon, but they canceled because of a scheduling issue.
Westside is super close to us, so I thought I would give them a call just in case they could squeeze us in. I called Westside and spoke with Kathy. I explained the situation to her, and she told me that all of their guys were booked for the afternoon, but that she’d see if she could get one of them to fit us in. She said she’d call me back and let me know either way so that I wasn’t left hanging, and even encouraged me to call around to see if I could find someone else to come just in case they could not help me. Kathy called me back, maybe half an hour after we spoke, to let me know that they could help me and that someone would be at my house in 25 minutes.
Ron arrived in less than that amount of time. He introduced himself as the owner, and explained that he was fitting us in, so he’d stay as long as he could and hopefully get at least one of our two heating units up and running. He was working on the first heating unit when Mike arrived to work on the second. Both units had broken transformers, and Ron and Mike fixed them for us in under an hour. They were both friendly, polite, professional, and efficient. Because they were willing to go out of their way to help us out, we now have heat and can sleep at home tonight. I will definitely call them again for a heating problem!
