Raul’s Smog Test Only Center

Excellent service along with honest family-​owned atmosphere. They were recommended to me and I would recommend them to anyone and especially to those that have RVs. They’ve done me right and got me my certs and i’ve had some difficult cases– 2 motorhomes and a pick up truck, all from the 80s to be exact. A very good, trustworthy family-​owned business. 5 stars

Excellent and fast service !! Would recommend to anyone ! I was having issues with my Honda… It was a cracked engine block :(they told me they would search the cheapest new part for me to help me out… They did their research only to find out that there was a recall and it would be done for me at the Honda dealership for free!!! Most places wouldn’t have done that. They could have easily not told me, done it themselves and CHARGE A GRIP!. I love that they’re honest and so friendly. Def coming back for future repairs :)

Stay away from this place and go to a smog only center.
I gave this place a try since I was passing through this town… Big mistake.
I went by for a smog check, my car blew clean numbers, but failed due to modified exhaust. My exhaust failed because it was a dual exhaust and did not have a «Y» junction before separating at the ends. Makes sense since its part of California law. So I ask the guy how much to fix it? The cost was $ 760 just to add the Y-​section onto my exhaust system. 760? What a rip off. Seems like they failed me on purpose just to get me on overpriced repairs (which I walked away from). Oh yeah, I was the first on there when they opened and it took them an hour and ten minutes to test, while I saw two later than me customers finish before me (seems like shady work to me)…pretty much wasted my time.
I’m sticking to smog only shops instead of can do repair shops. Don’t get fooled into thinking you have to fix what these can do shops say for prices that are way overcharged.
Not to mention they don’t even give a free re-​test after I get my exhaust fixed. Look out for additional fees that get tacked onto their original prices posted on their shop sign. Don’t fall for their repair costs, they are too high.

They are expensive and do not work on fixing isssues, just replaceing part’s. Very little logical deduction at the lab. Had 3 oxegen sensrs and an EGR valve all fail over the week-​end. They charged, or wanted to charge in excess of $ 800 for this work. I ran a can of seafoam throught the engine and clened the carbon out and all the issues disaperred. This was the secound vehicle they screwed me on. NEVER AGAIN!

I have been bringing my car to Raul and Rosa for as long as I can remember. I have never had a problem and honestly appreciate the family business atmosphere. I can trust that my car is always well taken care of!!! I would recommend their shop to anyone! I just walked out after being there for a max 20 minutes. That’s my kind of service, excellent service!

I needed a smog test on a 2000 Lincoln and on the way to DMV I saw this location. I had to have a smog completed and instead of coming all the way back to Ventura, I stopped here. Boy, am I glad I did! The staff was quick, very friendly and knowledgable. Raul the owner, once the mechanic spotted a cracked hose and pointed it out, had the hose replaced at a very low price as a customer service enhancement. I would reccommend Raul’s for any work as they are honest and to find a smog location and car repair business that is up front and that wants to create good will for the city of Santa Paula, they are the best!

Nice people. Got quoted $ 58 for smog check which was already cheaper than some of the Ventura locations I had called. Then they gave me an additional $ 10 off for no reason. Didn’t notice that until I looked at the invoice in the car. The service was quick. Will be going back again for the other car to get smog checked.

Quite simply, very friendly and fast. Had my car smogged in less than 15 minutes. They also do oil changes and I will most definitely return for that!
