Absolute Concrete Pumping

I needed 5.5 cubic yards of concrete (that’s quite a bit of concrete) in the back yard for walkways. There are two ways to get a lot of concrete into a back yard, and pumping it is the only reasonable method. I called John at Absolute Concrete Pumping, partly because his company is close to the Santa Rosa house. In addition, they answer the phone until 6:30 PM; bigger outfits don’t.
John proved to be very helpful, even recommending a concrete supplier when the BIG outfit in Santa Rosa couldn’t deliver on my schedule. Everything worked perfectly. John showed up exactly on time at 10 AM and the concrete also arrived exactly on time, right after the pumping hoses had been assembled and placed.
Absolute doesn’t just pump concrete into the back yard; John worked with my guys placing the correct amount of concrete just ahead of them, exactly where and when it was needed. When it was over, he cleaned up everything and departed with no mess left behind. The cost was quite reasonable, especially if one considers the cost (and pain) of paying people to run wheelbarrows full of concrete into a back yard plus the extra standby time for a concrete truck. It probably costs less to use a concrete pumping service than to pay for extra hours of concrete truck time.
Even the weather cooperated to produce an excellent job. The concrete had set sufficiently by the time a light rain started at 9 PM. There are no squirrel tracks or cat tracks in the concrete and we can walk on it today, albeit lightly.
Please note that concrete pumping and concrete delivery are separate activities and YOU will have to coordinate the times. It’s easier when the companies you select are cooperative and helpful. I definitely recommend concrete pumping in general and Absolute Concrete Pumping in particular.
