Specialties
I am a Licensed Midwife, Childbirth Educator, Birth Monitrice, and Placenta Encapsulator. I am passionate about educating families about their choices. I believe that no matter where a woman chooses to birth, it is her right to choose what is appropriate for her body and her baby. I bring a balance of compassion and trust in the birthing process, paired with a respect for the current medical research and medical standards. I practice evidence-based midwifery, but believe that is through connection and individualized care, that a woman and her partner can truly be served. I am ecstatic to be serving the women and families of the North Bay, Marin County, Sonoma County, and Napa Valley, and do so with joy, gratitude, and humility.
History
Established in 2011.
I began A Birth at a Time as a doula while in Midwifery school. I am now a Licensed Midwife offering a variety of services to both home-birthing and hospital-birthing families. I am a graduate of Nizhoni Institute of Midwifery (2013), National Holistic Institute (2005), and Saint Mary’s College (2002). I have current certifications in BLS, NRP, and ALSO. I have attended over 200 births and counting!

Business Owner
I was born in the East Bay, raised in Los Angeles, and now this is my second return to the Bay Area. The first time was in 1998 to attend college. After almost 10 years in the East Bay, I returned back to LA to attend Midwifery college. Now my husband and I happily return to Northern California, this time to Santa Rosa.
