Blindingly Clean

Ernie at Blindingly Clean has done repair to my blinds in the past, and at one point, he installed a brand new blind on my entryway window. He did beautiful work, and all of this occurred about about 3 years’ ago. However, the pull chain on one of my vertical blinds broke, so I called Ernie this morning, and described the situation to him over the phone in hopes that he could repair the blind. He acted like a jerk. What stood out to me in his response was he said my job would be, to quote him verbatim, «a pain in the ass.» I couldn’t believe my ears, as his behavior was such a departure from my previous experience with him. I reminded him that we know each other, meaning I’m a repeat customer. Honestly? He didn’t care who I was. I told him I would seek help elsewhere. Unbelievable.

I have to say that I was very excited to have our blinds professionally cleaned today. I had talked with Ernie and we set up a time to have him pick them up and bring them back. He said he knew our neighborhood well and had had many clients nearby. I looked forward to today.
He showed up very agitated and was angry that our house was hard to find. Granted we live on a quiet rural street, and most people get lost, call and then we greet them in the driveway. No biggie. We are used to that.
He was rude and disrespectful from the start. «Your house is impossible to find» «your blinds are difficult to clean». Yes, exactly why I am hiring you Sir, You said that you could clean them, and in one day.
The list goes on and on of how unprofessional our meeting was. Long story short, he took half of the blinds, he cleaned them beautifully, but not without a massive rant again at the reinstall about how tough they are to clean.
I can say that the blinds are clean and bright again, he did a beautiful job. But I will not be hiring him again anytime soon to finish the job. I’m sad about that.

Was pleasantly surprised that they had the parts for my travel trailer mini blinds. Very hard to find parts. They fixed the blind and gave me some extra parts for future repairs. I was impressed with the service I received on the spot. I will be back in the future for any blind repairs or will call and have them come to my residents.

I called to inquire about blind cleaning and repair and was told by Ernie that it I got the blinds in that day, he could get them back by the end of the next day but they would be gone for vacation after that. I brought them in and had them back exactly when he said. In addition, I had a filthy moldy silhouette blind that they got sparking clean. I was completely satisfied and will be back!

I have been using Ernie for 15 years. He provides wonderful service, has reasonable rates and does not push products. When I did need blinds for a tall/​wide patio door, he came to the house to show me several options and explain pros and cons of each. I am very pleased with the result.

We have a 70″ mini blind in our kitchen that had a string fraying so they would not lower properly. We were going to recycle them somewhere, but my wife found Ernie’s place, (Blindingly Clean). Ernie said they were quality blinds that could be restrung and cleaned. In a couple of hours they were all done and ready to rehang. We are quite pleased that we didn’t have to go shopping for new ones and have blinds that look every bit as good as they did when we first bought them 10 years ago. Thanks Ernie.

I have a few rentals that always need blind cleaning when tenants move out. I have been using Blindingly Clean since around 2000 with complete satisfaction. Ernie is always eager to please and gets the job done quickly and professionally. If any repairs or new blinds are needed he can handle it. I highly recommend his service!

Ernie just finished installing a new extra long blind for the patio sliding door which he ordered for me and then installed in a rental. He also cleaned 9 other vertical blinds in the rental and did a fabulous job of making them look like they are brand new. Ernie has been doing my blinds cleaning, repairs and new blinds for a number of years. He is fast, responsive and creative in coming up with solutions for window treatments. He is also reasonable. That’s why I keep calling him.

I’ve been going to Ernie for a few years … He’s wonderful!!! Rather than purchase brand-​new blinds, Ernie has repaired, restrung and cleaned most of the duette blinds in my home. I just replaced some old blinds with some brand-​new blinds which I purchased from Ernie. He is very reliable and does a great job for a reasonable price, and I found that the new blinds I just purchased were cheaper than what I would have paid at Home Depot, plus he came to my home and installed them. While he was at my home he also helped me install new drapery rods that I had purchased and charged me just a little bit extra — my husband was thrilled he didn’t have to do it.

The string on my insulated shade broke so I called Blindingly Clean. He told me to come right over and I was back home with the repaired shade reinstalled in less than an hour. LESS than an hour!

I would never have believed the six, large, old, and very dirty Venetian blinds in a house we’re selling could be cleaned as «blindingly» clean as Blindingly Clean managed! They are narrow slat Venetians and the draw cord of one was irreparably broken. In about half a day these blinds were removed, cleaned, returned, and reinstalled. Plus a new blind now replaces the broken one. It’s a better color match for the kitchen walls but still fits with the style of the others. Even the dirty draw cords are now white and clean. Amazing! The added value? This company is the passion of a really nice guy who has a genuine commitment to quality, honesty, and fairness. I’m recommending him to everyone I know!

Ernie is amazing. I called him to see if I could bring over my broken wooden blinds and he had them fixed within 20 minutes. I had expected to drop them off and come back the next day but he said he had a few minutes and could do them while I waited. He was very reasonable too. I highly recommend him and will use him for all my future repairs and cleanings.
