I am real estate expert who prides herself on communication and commitment to clients as the cornerstones of my business. I have been a broker for over 24 years. I enjoy working with home buyers and sellers as well as new and seasoned real estate investors. I represent buyers and sellers of country property, general residential and multi-​family properties. I also manage and supervise probate and trust sales with a wide variety of support services. I bring a depth of professional knowledge to serve my clients.

History

Established in 1990.

In 1990, Daphne Peterson was hired by a developer in Emeryville, CA to be the in-​house broker for a commercial real estate company. It was the wild west back then, Emeryville and Oakland were overflowing with warehouses, and industrial buildings.

In 1998, Daphne and her family moved to Santa Rosa and she shifted her focus into residential real estate. in 2003, Daphne opened her own Real Estate Brokerage company. In 2013, she joined Keller Williams Realty, and was accepted into their Luxury Homes International division.

As a Santa Rosa and Sonoma County Realtor and resident for many years she is committed to helping sellers realize the best result possible, giving buyers access to the most properties that match their needs and helping investors obtain the cash flow they are seeking.

On a personal note, Daphne has been married to Don for 22 years and they are the parents of two children: Veva and James, both of whom graduated from local schools. Daphne enjoys wine tasting, cooking with our amazing local ingredients, knitting and photography.

My sisters and I were faced with selling our parents’ home (Dad died, mother permanently in Care Home), and it was part of a Trust. None of us had any experience selling a home and we were very fearful– so I did a Unilocal search. Daphne’s reviews on Unilocal and on another site were all very positive, so she became our agent.
Every single interaction with Daphne was helpful and supportive, she not only walked us through the process, but she answered all of our questions along the way. She responded to each and every phone call, email and text message from us very quickly– the communication was excellent. She always listened to our concerns and gently lead us through it. The outcome was that we received 3 offers on the house by the first day we began accepting offers, and it sold within 2 weeks (from the beginning to the end of escrow). Daphne handled all of the details with the Trust without a hitch.
If we ever decide to sell our own home, Daphne will be the first person we contact. We experienced her as honest, consistent, smart and compassionate.
In summary:
1. The marketing for the house was excellent, the photos and the staging, the Zillow website and the flyers were beautiful.
2. Daphne was very accessible throughout the process, her communication was consistently superior. We knew that we could trust her.
3. Daphne knows her «stuff.» She was always on top of things, very organized.

Susan worked with my husband and I to help us find our first home we purchased together. She came recommended by our mortgage broker. We met her for coffee for our first meeting to go over our wish list and details. First impressions were great, I felt confident in her ability to listen to what we want, and know the market well enough to advise us on the homes that came up for sale.
She searched diligently for properties that fit our criteria, and was just overall very helpful considering we were new to the area and this was my first home purchase ever. Her colleague Carol was also very nice and helpful at showing us the properties.
Once it was time to make offers on homes we liked, Susan kicked into high-​gear and really put her pro skills to work. You could tell her knowledge and buyer strategy savvy was second-​to-​none. When it came to dealing with the sellers and other parties involved, Susan was not only professional but had this instinctive «gut» that came in handy as far as communicating to us what we should expect from them, etc.
When multiple offers came in on a home, or the seller tried to pull shenanigans, she was right there to guide us through. I also had several strangers tell me in conversation upon mentioning Susan Franks, that she is the best in the biz. I couldn’t agree with them more. I’d give 6-​stars if I could.

We had already been eyeing a home in Bennett Valley and Daphne was great about showing us other possible contenders to make sure we knew what we wanted. Once we were pretty sure about our choice, she patiently brought us over to visit many other times, bringing out the pest expert to go over the report, making sure we were sure before making an offer. After our offer was accepted, she was incredibly helpful with finding someone to do all the renovations. I picked Daphne from her Unilocal reviews, and I am SO glad I did. It was my first experience buying a house and I was very nervous. Every penny my wife and I owned was going into this purchase, and Daphne really helped relieve me of any worry or anxiety. Even though we weren’t purchasing a huge, expensive home, Daphne never made me feel like I didn’t matter as much as her «big» clients. She responded to my concerns quickly, and helped explain the process to me in simple terms. I used her preferred mortgage brokers, Elise and Glenn Groves, and between the three of them the process was seamless. We put an offer in and a few hours later she called to say the house was ours! We are SO happy we went with Daphne, and strongly recommend her to ANYONE who needs to buy or sell a home.

Thanks to Daphne I am sitting in my new office in my new home writing this review. As a first time buyer, my fiancé and I didn’t know much about the home purchasing process but Daphne was there every step of the way. We found her through Unilocal and had a meeting with her within a few days. She set us up with her portal and the listings started pouring in. Every few days we would see something we liked so we would call up Daphne and she was ready to show. She was always available on short notice and even on weekends which was best for us since we work during the week.
Before we saw this house we made offers on two other spots which we were outbid on. In both cases Daphne gave us unbiased advice but also let us choose what we thought was the best price and what we were comfortable with. Then we saw a listing for a home in Windsor and I had a good feeling about it right away. We went to the open house and found out it was a Short Sale which we knew nothing about. Daphne gave us a fair warning that short sales can take a long time and they aren’t a sure thing like other sales but we decided to go ahead and make an offer anyway. It was accepted by the buyer and then off to the bank it went.
Although the process did take a couple months and there were a few hurdles to overcome along the way Daphne helped us understand all the steps to Short Sales and we both think that without her, things may not have worked out so well. We got a great deal on a home that has everything we want. We didn’t have to compromise on what’s most important to us (big lot and quite area) and in this market the competition was tough. We are so grateful that Daphne was our agent for the sale and I look forward to working with her again down the line when we are ready to sell here and buy a new place. Thanks for everything Daphne!

We found Daphne through Unilocal and we were so glad we did! As experienced home buyers and sellers, we have learned to be demanding of agents and Daphne didn’t disappoint.
From our first meeting, Daphne asked the right questions and spent time really trying to understand what we were trying to accomplish. This was essential because our home was unique and didn’t easily fit within the typical comps that one usually uses to determine an appropriate selling price.
When we told her what price we were expecting to get Daphne gulped and then guided us through the things we were going to need to do if we expected to command that price. She also put her team to work on the marketing side and put together great materials and a website to help enhance the home’s attractiveness. Her guidance and marketing approach were excellent and as a result we were able to achieve our goals.
During the process Daphne guarded our interests and went to bat for us when we needed it. I would not hesitate to use Daphne again and would recommend her to anyone that asked.

We were referred to Daphne by our mortgage broker (Elise & Glenn Groves). As first time home buyers we were nervous about the process but Daphne’s Unilocal reviews were excellent so we gave her a call and a few months later here we are in our 1st home!
I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Daphne: Experienced, professional, approachable and friendly. Her experience and expertise was apparent from the first time we met her. Throughout the entire process it was clear Daphne had our best interests in mind and really went the extra mile to look after us. She showed us 20+ homes and keyed in quickly on what we were looking for as well as being flexible with her schedule to quickly make arrangements to view homes as soon as they came on the market.
Once the offer was accepted she knew exactly what questions to ask, information to seek, and inspections to book. She has many contacts in the industry and was able to quickly arrange inspections as well as guide us through the tricky negotiating process with the seller.

If you’re looking for a home in Sonoma county, Daphne is a gem. We recently purchased a home in Santa Rosa and Daphne was by far the best realtor we have ever worked with. Having looked for several months to find the right home, Daphne was very patient in showing houses that fit our criteria and she intuitively knew what truly matched what we were looking for so we didn’t waste time on places we wouldn’t be happy with. In addition to being generous with her time, she’s also incredibly knowledgeable and highly resourced. We recently sold our place in San Francisco and we had a short time to find a new one. We searched different markets concurrently with different agents. Daphne was one of the agents that agreed to help us knowing that we might not buy a property with her. She brought her «A» game and it was everything that others have described. Daphne is an absolutely amazing realtor! My partner and I just purchased our first home, which ended up being a lot more complicated than normal because of some construction that occurred during escrow. Daphne not only did her job as our realtor, but kept communication open between the contractor and seller in order to keep us informed about what was going on. Whenever something happened, she was either on the phone with us or e-​mailing us about it. I think she spent just as much time on the phone with our contractor as we did in order to make sure that everything turned out the way that it should. If you want someone who goes above and beyond the norm, she is definitely the realtor for you!

Fantastic job!
Full disclosure: I am a mortgage processor that has worked with over 50+ Realtors over my short but very busy 2 ½ year career so far. I chose to use Daphne Peterson after seeing how she treated her clients and how successful she has been during several transactions that we worked together on.
Daphne helped my wife and I purchase our FIRST HOME and all I can say is WOW! She gave us an education on what we should be looking for and what to be wary of while showing us property.
She kept in constant contact and let us know when anything was going on with the transaction. We never felt like we were being led astray and ALWAYS got a straight answer AND solution from Daphne regarding anything the we were questioning during any part of the deal.
Negotiating the deal — Far and above expectations!!!

Daphne helped me purchase a house for my mom under fairly complicated circumstances (long distance purchase, contingency offer, interim occupancy agreement, the whole 9 yards.) Let me say that she went above and beyond what I would have expected from a real estate agent! She found my mom a perfect home, did all the leg work to ensure it was the right fit for us, and provided top notch service through the entire process.
Some examples:
1. Finding us a house that would accept a contingent offer in THIS market!
2. Returning all emails and phone calls in an hour or two, if not immediately available when I called (which she often was.)
3. Literally running to the store to pick up legal paper for my mom after she moved in to the new house, since mom didn’t know where to go to buy it yet. It may sound like a little thing, but believe me, it was important!
etc. the list goes on…
I should say, I was initially hesitant to contact her because I didn’t want a short sale, and she markets herself as a short sale expert! It turns out (of course) that she specializes in short sales, but doesn’t work on them exclusively. She knows all aspects of her business in and out, and I was very grateful to have her working for us through our standard sale!
Finally, she was genuinely interested in helping us. It’s a rare commodity to find some who is authentically pleasant and wanting to help make everything work out for the best. Daphne is all that and more. She played a key part in helping my mom make a major transition, with spectacular results, and for that, I will be eternally grateful.
