GreenTech Automotive was opened in 2009. We provide a clean approch to a dirty job. What does that mean? Well at GTA we provide green, low impact alternatives to auto repair. By utilizing thing such as modified dry clean up procedures and bio remediation we lower our carbon footprint. Recycling is a must a GTA our wate out put is much lower than most shops and we love what we do. Energy star rated electronics and energy saving lighting and sky lights are used. we are a new breed of mechanic. one that takes care of the comunity we live and one that is not afraid to think outside the box.

Nathan B is has over 18 years of factory training and exsperience with GM dealerships. Nathan was employed by the Santa Rosa Chevrolet, the areas largest GM dealer for over 10 years, As a Master GM and ASE certified technician. When the economy slowed and fuel prices sky rocketed in early 2009, his long time employer closed thier doors and went out of business. Nathan and his family were faced the the reality maney Americans are dealing with, Unemployment. Taking a huge risk they decided to open GreenTech AUtomotive. GreenTech offers a Real Alternative in tune with how today’s customers make choices. Wanting to stand out from the crowd of other shop in the area the green approach was developed. while GTA offers all of the traditional services and repairs of most shop they take it further. Knowing that auto shop are not clean and least of all green, Nathan uses maney simple well thought out procedures to lower the impact of GTA on the local environment.

Got a pre-​purchase used vehicle inspection… $ 100. Thought they did ok until my tire shop pointed out alignment wear on my tires. So I had to have my alignment checked 2 months after this inspection. Not only were the control arms, shocks and struts shot… but they didn’t even check the transmission to see leaks and burnt fluid. lameo

Beware. Unfortunately I had a bad experience and won’t be going back. I went in for an oil change and was told I needed $ 1000 worth of work, $ 700 of this was supposedly due to my broken or worn tie rods. I got a quote for the repairs and then got a second opinion. I was told nothing was wrong with my tie rods, so I got a third opinion and they confirmed nothing was wrong with my tie rods. I almost got taken for $ 700! Forrest, you should have confirmed such a large repair with your mechanic or was it you trying to take advantage of a woman!

I brought my 1998 Silverado truck with a fuel pump issue in for work. $ 841.00 later I thought the problem was resolved, it was not. I would take the truck out and it would stall out and I would be stuck by the side of the road. I brought it back in and they told me it was the California fuel and gave me a pamphlet regarding that. This did not help me and after being stranded a few more times I sold the truck as is to a man from Los banos for considerably less than it was worth. He repaired it right in front of my house and drove it home. The problem was a secondary pump that assisted the fuel pump. This mis diagnosis and failure to repair cost me $ 2500.00 and alot of worry. Live and learn life lesson etc. I won’t be back. Thanks.

GreenTech is simply the best auto repair shop in Santa Rosa. They did a major job on my Jaguar XJ8. They did it on time, within estimate and best of all, took the time to fully explain exactly what they did. I asked Nathan for some advice on a certain car I wanted to buy and he took 15 minutes to tell me pros and cons of that car and also a few alternatives I should consider. Probably saved me a lot of $$$ and frustration.

My mom’s van needed new breaks and I called Greentech because they’ve worked on my car before. They fit her in that day, diagnosed the problem and it was all ready to go the next afternoon. They are friendly and honest. They charge a fair price and I’m pleased with the efficiency with which they repaired her van.

Look carefully at the hours. 9 – 5 pm right? Well, it would be nice to post the days that you are open if you are in a business.
Now, Forest is nice on the phone, i grant him that. But he worked me like a man works a toilet seat. I couldn’t believe it. I asked Forest if they were open on Saturday. Guess what, he told me they were open, and made an appt. for 10:30 on 10/​31/​2015. Yes, he did.
So, I got busier than a one-​eyed cat watching four mouse holes, trying to rearrange my schedule to have my oil changed, since i was already 2,000 miles over the limit. I did.
Well, guess what happened? Forest calls me up on Friday evening and tells me, they cancelled my appt. because there were no mechanics available for halloweeny. (AKA All Hallows Eve). Just thought i’d impress you with my level of education since i’m writing this review. But back to the story — well, he did.
I was a little disappointed, and asked if there was another chance of making an appt. for the following week. (Why? well, i’ve never seen a «green» tech before, so here was my chance.)
Forest, reassured me that they would have mechanics available the following week.
The Friday before my next appointment, i decided to call Forest, because Forest did not call me. He did not.
And guess what? Forest informed me that they usually weren’t open on Saturdays, except during the ensuing holidays. This meant that the appt. that i THOUGHT had the next day, was bogus. Well, you can only imagine that i was madder than a bull with it’s nuts caught in a garden gate at that point. But Forest didn’t know, because i just kept it to myself. I did.
Forest then, instructed me to look on Google, and see if there were other mechanics that would see me tomorry. he did.
And now i’m going over to the OilStop in the morning, because they post their hours, and they are open on Saturdays. 8−6pm. First come, first serve.
They are.

I never ever write reviews but I thought this place really deserved one. I needed a smog and had no idea where to go, so I just started calling random places I found through Google. SO happy I stumbled upon GreenTech. I only had to pay $ 35 for a smog. DEAL! Not only great prices, but the staff was amazing. The auto technician knew exactly what he was talking about and always gave honest answers instead of most places that just try and get money out of you. I will most definitely come here anytime I need service for my car.

These guys are great! GreenTech has been servicing and repairing our 4 vehicles since we moved to CA in 2008. They’re always fair, honest and reasonably priced. If you question suggested repairs, they will take the time to show and explain to you what needs to be done and why. Their turnaround time is usually same-​day. Overall, excellent customer service. This is why we keep coming back and definitely recommend them to others!

Since my engine light had been going on and off for quite some time my Sabb mechanic put in a new fuel pump. About a month later the engine light started coming on again. Tired of driving an hour to Saab mechanic and not having the benefit of a loaner car I checked in with Green Tech who had recently put in a water pump (and I was very happy with that repair) — this since I knew I couldn’t drive the car for an hour with a busted pump.
I gave Green Tech the error code I was able to get and they fixed the purge valve in less than an hour and because I had appointments to get to while they fixed it they even provided a loaner car. Job well done, so far so good. I gave them 4 stars last time, I think they earned the fifth.
I’ll be going back for a service soon.

A friend told me to go to Green Tech, so I did:) The guys fixed my air conditioning in my GMC Yukon. They were very thorough and polite. I really am appreciative that they have a loaner vehicle to use. They have the cleanest bathroom that I have ever seen at a mechanic. (This is important when when you have the kids at the shop!)

Absolutely Recommended!
I’ve brought my car in here twice to have them change the oil. The service is friendly and quick. They point out things that my car needs to have done, but they’re not pushy about having them done. Which makes me trust that what they’re saying needs to be taken care of is not just a sales push. I need to have my brake fluid flushed on my car and my fiancé’s and I will defiantly be bringing both vehicles here.

Great place to take your car.
Needed a STAR smog check. Their price was the best, they were able to take me early as I got there 20 minutes before the appointment, they charged exactly what they quoted over the phone, they were done in a flash and they were professional and friendly.
can’t really ask anything more in a mechanic. Keep it local, these guys rock.

We found Greentech because they were geographically the closest mechanic to our home. We have stayed with Greentech due to their impeccable customer service, communication skills, and perfect work. My husband has an older model of Mercury that comes up with the weirdest repairs every once and a while and every time he has taken it into Greentech the car has come home in excellent condition and we have never had to repeat for the same problem. I absolutely adore the convenience of making an appointment on their website, but they have also always been kind and courteous about fitting us in same day when we have needed it. Most recently they replaced our back brakes and brake lines on our car and had it done within hours of the car being towed in.
I have always felt like Greentech does not gauge on prices (particularly when talking to me, you know how it is Ladies.. .) and they have always been clear and concise in their communication and helping us to prioritize issues when money was tight. They have done everything for us from brakes, smog, oil changes, spark plugs, etc. We have never had a bad experience (have gone there about half a dozen times) and have always been extremely satisfied. Thank you Greentech for not only being a great mechanic but also putting the customer and environment first! A+ rating from my family.
