Patches In a Day

I called patches in a day as I needed some holes in the walls patched up due doorknobs gone clean through my walls. Service was efficient, good timekeeping and over all great service.
The work was spot on and you would never notice that there was holes in the wall, fantastic job and I’ll be recommending them to anyone who needs dry wall repair.

Patches In a Day came in to fix two issues caused during my roofing project on my old Franken-​house that was built with non-​standard techniques and materials 70 years ago. Bob identified creative excellent solutions to both issues and his tradesmen came in and executed beautifully. They dropped protective materials and completely cleaned up when they were done. The repairs are both ready and shouldn’t even show after I’m done painting.
I’ll be contacting Bob again with any of my smaller fix problems.

We bought a house last year that required significant renovation and relied heavily on Patches in a Day for a lot of our interior work. Scheduling an appointment was super easy and their estimators and crew both always arrived on time. They worked very efficiently and were able to seamlessly match different drywall textures and styles. Their crew even wore booties over their shoes to help keep the interior clean. A list of repair items they completed for us are as follows:
–Patch numerous holes throughout house
–Remove a rotted out wooden water heater stand and repatch surrounding area
–Install new drywall around a window frame that had significant dryrot
Their pricing is also very fair considering the quality of their work, ease of scheduling, and quick completion times.
I would highly recommend Patches in a Day for any interior drywall or ceiling needs you might have.

Patches in a Day removed and refinished my horrible «cottage cheese ceiling» and did an excellent job. They were friendly, professional, and QUICK. I didn’t have to move my furniture, and I was amazed at how clean everything was when they were done. Wish I’d done it sooner. Highly recommend!

As a former designer-​home contractor, I have no tolerance for mediocrity in the building trades and certainly found none in Kathy and Bob’s Patches in a Day. They were contracted to install, tape and texture drywall throughout our home. To my delight, their crews showed up on time, always conducted themselves as professionals and executed their craft with speed and quality. I’d step forward to recommend this company to anyone interested in having a job done with the highest quality and integrity.

Responsive, professional, great work, and it was a pleasure inviting them in to our home. My only complaint is that I wish Patches in a Day did all types of home-​repair :)! Why can’t all general contractors and home repair contractors be like this?

Masterful! We had a number of settling cracks and areas of water damage that needed attention. Ramon and Keith came out, on time, and fixed them all with care and attention to detail. I’m so amazed at how the texturing matches exactly. It was a two day job and even though they were going to work in one of the same areas the next day they removed all the draping and vacuumed so you couldn’t even tell that they had been there. I’m so grateful to have found these folks and would use them again, if need be. I will definitely refer them to others.

Called and set up appointment, worker showed up at agreed time, fixed my hole in the wall and left area clean and repair looks great. Will use again if need arises.

These folks are terrific! Great service, stand behind their work 100%; good price and very professional… as well as pleasant to work with!

we had a bad experience. we hired them to remove popcorn ceilings. we weren’t there to supervise the work, and the tape they used tore the paint on our walls. they didn’t say anything, and we were pretty upset when we came home and saw the walls. we had to repaint the entire room (in addition to the ceiling that wasn’t painted). it was just poor communication and mismanaged expectations. i’m sure they do a fine job, we just had a poor experience.

Very frustrating trying to even schedule an appointment with these folks. I originally scheduled an appointment for ¹⁰⁄₂₄; however, half way of my 1 ½ hour travel to the property, I realized I forgot the keys. Thankfully they were very accommodating in rescheduling. My appointment was rescheduled for ¹⁰⁄₃₁. The evening of 10/​28, they left me a voice-​mail advising they would have to schedule since their contractor/​estimator guy wanted to attend the SF Giants parade. This was frustrating since I had already planned to travel & it wasn’t like the Giants hadn’t had a World Series parade in 2012 or 2010! Anyhow, they called me morning of ¹⁰⁄₃₁ to reschedule (I wasn’t in a rush to return their call out of my frustration). They informed me they had an opening on ¹¹⁄₇ between 2 – 3. I informed Michelle I would take it, however, I would be also contacting other companies & that if I needed to cancel I would do so by Tuesday (¹¹⁄₄). I’m not sure where the confusion was since I was pretty clear, but when I called to confirm my appointment ¹¹⁄₆ by leaving at voice-​mail, and another voice-​mail the morning of 11/​7, Michelle informed me that I was not on their schedule.
Let’s hope I can update this review with 5 stars, like all the other reviews for this company, once an appointment is actually met, if at all at this pace!
PS Apparently their phone never rings and you are only able to leave voice-​messages???

As a Realtor, I’ve called on Patches in a Day for many small projects while getting a home ready for the market, or to bid repairs for buyers during the process. They handle small jobs, like a hole in the wall, to a compromised firewall in a garage to bigger jobs like removal of the dreaded «cottage cheese» ceilings.
As a homeowner, it’s good to know that I can call on them for various cracks, dinged corners, and those darn «door-​knob» holes in the wall.
They are quick and efficient, and their prices are reasonable. I highly recommend them.

Excellent company to work with. I had them repair a large hole in the sheetrock at my mom’s house and it looked like there had never been a hole there at all. The company I work for also uses them and we would highly recemmend them to anyone. Good pricing and good response time too!

These guys did a excellent job scraping my popcorn off my ceiling and texturing it. Excellent pricing too helped a lot. Very clean considering I had popcorn in every room in my house. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

After a catastrophe at my home they came in and did an excellent job of repairing the walls and preping them for painting. They quoted me over the phone, which was great and they were in and out over night. Liked them so much I have alreay used them again on another project. Highly recommend.

Fast, efficient and the patch looks great. You can’t see it at all, and they did a fantastic job matching the texture.
