Perfect Day Events

Noël was great. He came with our wedding package at our venue.
He did everything we wanted him to do/​play for our wedding. He was really great in responding to emails timely and efficiently.
I would say that the photo-​booth could use some updating. But regardless it was a huge hit at our wedding and everyone had a blast. I was pleasantly surprised to get a CD of all the photo’s taken in the photo-​booth after the wedding. The quality of photo’s were really good.
I loved that he played all the songs we had requested prior to the wedding. And I personally didn’t care if one of the songs cleared the dance floor. I appreciated that he played it to its completion even if I (the bride) was the only one out there on the dance floor. It was after all MY DAY.
The sound system was great during the reception and during the ceremony.
I would definitely use him again for something in the future, both as a DJ and for the photo-​booth.
Definitely helped make my wedding a success.

This is a review simply on the Photobooth services.
I used Perfect Day because I really had no choice. Reasoning of course is irrelevant. It’s not necessarily a bad thing. Everything went smooth sailing.
Photobooths are old news of course. Who hasn’t seen one or used one by now. So for our wedding I knew exactly what a great photobooth would offer because I’ve seen it all.
So for those looking for a review in regards to the photobooth services offered by Perfect Day this is what to expect.
The actual QUALITY of the prints are good. To some that is the most important. You don’t have to worry here. The print quality is comparable to some of the best photobooths I’ve tried through the years.
The actual booth itself seems dated. You most likely have seen something more modern. Also if you want a «big» group in there, it will not happen with ease. This is the booth where you actually HAVE TO SIT. You can fit 4 comfortably in the booth (5 if you do some squeezing). If you want a bigger group, the curtains in the back of the booth can open so you can sneak your head from back there. This definitely is more of a booth for intimate pictures, but can work with bigger groups. I personally prefer the booths that you can stand which generally means more spacing for a larger group, but this worked.
You are provided a disc of the originals a few days after your event. It includes both the individual shots and the print shots (which has all 4 taken as it comes out printed) with the custom title banner.
Minimal customization. You do get to pick what you want said on the small strip of the printed photo. However, that is pretty much it. You are stuck with a white border, no back ground photo, no fancy layouts. Basically nothing fancy. I had requested to have a different color other than white as the background but that was shot down. Again, just what you want said in lettering and that is it. This also was a bit upsetting being turned down because on their very website there is a sample where someone clearly has a custom background on the border section of the print. So why could I not get one? It would have been nice to have black borders around the photos and the red lettering on the lettering area.
No free hosting of your photos. Some expect this as a standard, but it is not. Which is fine because there are many out there you can host the pictures free. Just more effort on your end.
Although the quality of the prints themselves are good, the originals provided are average. It amazes me that the prints turned out so good because the originals provided on disc were just OK – unless they compressed the heck out of the originals they gave me. I’ve been to photobooths where originals were of super high quality as if they were taken from a DSLR. The originals here are far from it.
I paid extra for the «Deluxe Upgrade», which usually will always be be done unless someone is penny pinching. It includes the props, scrapbook and double prints. I know most people can live without scrapbook and/​or double prints, but if adding just any one is almost the cost of just getting the entire deluxe package. The props were cool. Guests seem to enjoy the variety offered. Scrapbook was a nice touch but there seemed to be a lack of pages. Basically there wasn’t enough pages – we didn’t even have a big wedding nor do I feel the photobooth used as much as I had hoped, but still the pages in the scrapbook were not nearly enough.
I only got 3 hours of service and during the wedding I inquired to the staff member if it was possible to pay extra to extend it an hour. I was denied. So make sure you have your hearts set on time because you can’t change your decision while the event is happening real time. However, their website says otherwise on «overtime», BUT I believe that is only if you have already initially paid for a 4 hour service and going beyond 4 hours. Makes sense, but still take note.
Overall, it went ok. There was no problems, but it had it’s shortcomings. But keep in mind I am a person who knows what I want and pays very close attention to detail.

Working with Perfect Day Events was a mixed bag. They provided DJ, audio and photo booth services for our wedding a few weeks back.
The «Perfect»:
Leading up to the event they were very professional and organized.
Photo booth was reasonably priced and a huge hit.
People enjoyed themselves on the dance floor.
The Not-​So-​Perfect:
Major microphone malfunction during the ceremony & toasts. Oops. Basically, the hand held mic tanked and nobody could hear any of the readings/​toasts. Guests commented that they couldn’t hear the vows and officiant so well either. Double oops.
Although the DJ was very apologetic, which helped a lot, Perfect Day will need to up their game in terms of AV back up plans/​equipment to live up to their name.

It was an absolutely pleasure working with Noël Plumb and Perfect Day Events. I hired them for my vintage Santa Rosa wedding after months of searching for a vintage-​looking photobooth that wasn’t cheesy. I was very pleased with the quality of service by the attendent (he was extremely helpful and professional). The photobooth arrived on time and was set-​up just as promised, I didn’t have to do a thing which is exactly what a bride wants! My guests had so much fun taking photos and I was thrilled with the outcome. Soon after the wedding Noël mailed me a CD with every single photo from the night which was a lot of fun to look at. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would recommend their services in a heartbeat.

Noël’s photobooth came as part of my package at Wedgewood Crystal Springs in Burlingame and they were great! They were prompt with email queries and responses, and my CD came shortly after the wedding. My friends said that the photobooth had a true vintage photobooth vibe, not the «digital camera and a sheet backdrop» that some others used. I was too busy at the wedding to actually partake with the photobooth myself, but from the photos my friends have shared on facebook, it looks like they had loads of fun! I did bring my own party props because I thought the price charged for party prop rental was a bit steep. (way cheaper to get some gear at Party City and the dollar store!)
