History

Established in 1995.

The Dungeon Opened its doors in 1995 on 4th street in downtown Santa Rosa. One of the first Smoke shops to locate right Down town. Along with selling water pipes and tobacco they carried the classic smoke shop accessories, Posters, Band Patches, bullet belts, lava lamps and Band TShirts Plus much more. You could really find the underground Local Culture here at the dungeon.

In 2003 the Dungeon opened a new branch of the shop and started Body Piercing. Needing more room We Moved to the Brick yard center. Still downtown but the new larger location meant Better business and More merchandise. We now Carry a Large selection of Women’s clothing and shoes, Men’s Boots Over 500 Band T shirts. Gift items. We have a wonderful friendly staff of body modification experts. And a Extensive Smoke shop in the back.

Piercer couldn’t answer any of the questions I asked, seemed very inexperienced and was quite rude. She old me a crappy piece of jewelry and couldn’t fit it to my nose piercing. It ended up getting caught because she didn’t know how to put it in right and the jewelry pulled through my nose and got imbedded in between my skin. It was stuck to where I couldn’t get it out. Had to go to another place to have them help and they were astonished that somebody who claimed to be experienced in piercing sold me such a horrible accessory and couldn’t answer basic questions that I had. Steer clear of this place.

My friend got his septum pierced here a day after I got mine done at a different place, and his experience was not the best. The jewelery the woman chose was too big, and he said his hurt very much, while mine didn’t at all. He also bled a lot, while again, I did not. It was very pricey and they did not even give him salt for care. At Avenue Tattoo, they gave me salt, and gave me a paper with specific after care instructions, and the woman also gave me a lot o info verbally. Would not reccomend The Dungeon for piercings.

I used to come here quite a bit. They used to have really cool stuff, really cute clothing, and interesting shirts. However, my last experience here left me a bit chilly and disappointed. I walked in, and my friend said hello to the person behind the counter who completely ignored us and glared. Not sure what we did to deserve the icy treatment… but I don’t think we will be going back anytime soon…

Please, please. WARNING. No one get their piercing done here. If you love your body and don’t want pain, don’t go here.
I had my belly button pierced about a year and a half ago. It was expensive and the lady wasn’t that professional but I didn’t really care cause it was the only place open at the time and I was acting on a whim. Over the past two months, my piercing has been crusting and hurting slightly which I thought was because my uniform skirt is fairly tight and aggravating it. Well, I was wrong. Within the last week, the piercing has been rejecting out of my skin. It’s been horrible, I’ll spare you the details.
anyways, I went to a professional who told me they sold me a 12 cent piece of jewerly for $ 50. It was made in China from a cheap piece of metal that could’ve seriously hurt me. Now I’m stuck with a scar on my stomach for the rest of my life. Thanks dungeon, you rock.

Got my nips pierced about a week ago, and I can honestly say it was all thanks to my piercer Summer! I was really nervous of course, but upon my arrival, I decided I would do it if I felt comfortable enough with the piercer. And boy was I. Summer was very professional, polite, and extremely non pressuring. She did both nips quick, and I’m pleased with the overall experience. This was my 2nd/​3rd time getting them done, and I’ve never felt the need to write about the other places. Summer rocks, go here for a piercing well done.

I can’t get over this shop! They have such a unique selection of jewelry, something’s you can’t find at Hot Topic or Spencer’s, for example. I trust them with my piercings and their customer service is just excellent. My favorite part is the back room! So freakin cool! Also, Mikey is such a cool guy! He always lets me go when I’m short on money. I definitely come here religiously. Bravo!

My friend and I got our ears pierced here and I have to say it was the best piercing experience I have had thus far. I got my cartilage pierced and he got his lobes pierced, both with needles. It was quick, not painful and very hygienic. Moriah did both of our piercings and was really helpful, friendly and professional. Overall excellent service and great skills. Will definitely be visiting this place soon for another piercing.

Summer is such a great piercer. It’s not very common for a piercer to be as warm and friendly as she is, and her piercings are very professionally and precisely done. The Dungeon also has a bunch of great clothes, from t shirts to adorable little dresses and swim suits, and great selection of jewelry.

been going by the dungeon since I was a teenager, now I’m taking my teenager in to pick up hair dye and patches for her jacket. Kelly is awesome and always good for convo on hair products and advice on what she’s found to help the hair dye last longer.

Got my septum pierced here a few years ago, and it’s really embarrassing because its lopsided. (Which was very painful because they went through my sweet spot and out through my cartridge). I remember going in a week or so after to tell them about the problem– they told me it was my fault for putting the jewelry in wrong (but it was still their original work). Well a few years later still crooked and still ugly. I love the piercing but not the pain, and not the price I would have to pay to get it fixed. I had my nose pierced there as well, and though it’s not horrible, it’s very low on the nostril.
In addition the clothes, though fun — are very over priced.
Nowadays I only go in just to buy jewelry.

I used to go the Dungeons for piercings back in High School. Not quite sure why I did that! The piercer was always unfriendly and somewhat rude. I brought in several of my friends to her but she never remembered who I was. On top of that she messed up several of my piercings. My belly button was pierced sideways and too shallow. Which lead for it to reject, even though I took good care of it.
Everytime I do come in they are not friendly. The prices are SKY high. I got my conch pierced here and it was 75 dollars! Anywhere else it’s around 40. My old plugs I got from here were around 45 for each set, and these aren’t for super nice quality ones. I would be willingly to continue to support them if the service was better. I’m sorry but this place is a no go for me! I gave them my business and money for much too long

Got my septum pierced here by an extremely talented woman. Didn’t hurt at all, looks great, and she made me feel at ease through the process. The price was downright cheap compared to others in town. Highly recommend them for piercing. Clothing and goods are also super cool and unique!

I was so happy with the staff here.
I’m transgendered, and still a bit nervous in public at times when I’m asked to show my ID since it still doesn’t match up. But the staff was very understanding, kind, and helpful and made me feel incredibly comfortable throughout the whole process of getting my first piercings.
When I get another piercing, I’m going to return here. =)
