Santa Rosa Orthopaedics (SRO) has set the standard for orthopaedic care and services in Santa Rosa and its surrounding communities for over 60 years. As a recognized Center of Excellence, we offer board eligible, certified orthopaedist, and fellowship trained sub-​specialists who stay current with the most recent treatments, technologies and procedures in joint replacement, sports medicine, hand surgery, foot and ankle surgery, trauma, and physical medicine and rehabilitation. State-​of-​the-​art facilities that include physical therapy and on-​site open extremity MRI and X-​ray enable us to provide the most comprehensive care of the knee, shoulder, elbow, hand, hip, spine, foot and ankle, emphasizing individualized attention, care and treatment plans. SRO’s musculoskeletal and orthopaedic care is designed with the goal of improving post-​surgery outcome and returning our patients to an active lifestyle in the most efficient and expeditious manner.

Business Owner

Dr. Thomas C. Degenhardt is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery and joint reconstruction of the knee, shoulder and hip. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Degenhardt completed his undergraduate education in history at the University of California, Berkeley before receiving his medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco. He then served an internship at San Francisco General Hospital and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at UC San Francisco. He served a fellowship year in sports medicine at the Hughston Orthopaedic Clinic. He also served for two years as a major in the United States Army as an orthopaedic surgeon stationed in Landstuhl, West Germany.
