Toth Chiropractic was opened in response to the need for high quality chiropractic care that engages peoples concerns with a holistic perspective. The idea was to give people personalized care in a relaxed environment that addressed their specific needs while educating them about the importance of spinal wellness.

Our specific focus is sports and family chiropractic treating sports injuries, neck and back pain, headaches, sciatica, disc injuries and much more. After a thorough chiropractic examination Dr. Toth will provide specific recommendations for treatment including home care instructions and lifestyle modifications. Above all, we love our patients and work hard to provide an exceptional chiropractic experience for everyone.

History

Established in 2008.

The evolution of Toth Chiropractic started in the Oakland hills where Dr. Toth practiced for 2 years before moving to Santa Rosa in March of 2007. After a year and a half the practice was outgrowing itself, so in August 2008 it moved to create its current location on College avenue. Since then the practice has grown and established itself as a business with integrity and professionalism providing exceptional service to the community.

I grew up in rural Healdsburg on my family’s vineyard, Black Mountain Vineyard. I attended Sonoma Country Day School, went on to Cardinal Newman High School and graduated in 1995. It was a respect for the human potential and for human limitation that got me interested in health and so I studied as much about the natural health sciences as I could. My passion for the outdoors led me to Humboldt State University where I pursued a degree in Health Science and got me on the road to chiropractic college. I traveled avidly and mentored with many of the pioneering leaders in chiropractic until I was satisfied with the knowledge I accumulated. Now I offer everything I have to my patients, hoping to make a contribution to my community.

Finally– a chiropractor I can sing my praises about.
After a disappointing experience with the last chiropractor I saw (see prior review), I spent hours researching a new chiropractor within proximity of where I live. Dr. Toth is about 20 minutes away and is definitely worth the drive.
I am training for a marathon, and running races of different distances in between then and now to gear up for it.
Dr. Toth is not only a running enthusiast himself, but also encourages my goals and focuses my care on being able to perform the endurance runs and cross training that I am participating in.
The adjustments are accurate, and immediately provide relief. There are no excuses made for a lack of movement in the joints or spine. Dr. Toth is an incredible adjuster and is able to get movement every visit.
Today was my 3rd visit and for the first time in a year, I am experiencing movement, flexibility and pain relief, despite being under the care of a prior DC.
I am SO happy I found Dr. Toth, he is a lifeline for my active lifestyle and grateful for his incredible level of support and care. As someone who has received chiro care for the majority of my life, I can honestly say he is one of the best in the industry.

First time there was good… Then went there last week with my neck all screwed up and he did an extremely fast and forced adjustment that caused me some of the most violent pain of my life. Could hardly get off the table after. He offered no apology or explanation. Took my money and sent me to my car to cry as I tried to get in and drive home and almost crashed. Took my bad neck problem and turned it 1000x worse. After talking to other chiros about it they said if I had told them I had just hurt it that day, as I told him, they would have suggested I come back in a day or two… Or at least had been gentle and careful… I got to say this seemed extremely negligent.

I had been having pain in my neck for three months when I discovered Toth Chiropractic. I had never been to a chiropractor before so I was a little nervous. But this place has a fantastic atmosphere and Dr. Toth is very kind and professional. He did some adjustments to my neck and I felt so much better! I was driving back to work and when I turned my head to check my side mirror I expected that shooting pain in my neck, but the pain didn’t happen! Amazing!

I discovered Dr. Toth when I moved to Sonoma County 3 years ago. He is a very talented, kind, caring doctor with a passion for health and vitality. He has been very instrumental in assisting me with managing chronic migraine.
Recently, my 9 year old son had been suffering from a 10 day ear infection that was not responding to either aural or oral medication. I was quite distressed and a friend recommended that I take him to see a chiropractor (why hadn’t I thought of that?). I brought my son to see Dr. Toth and within 2 hours of his adjustment, his ear infection turned the corner and his healing began. It seems if the pathways are open in the body, medicine can do its job (novel concept). I am so grateful for Dr. Toth’s constant, genuine concern for my family’s well-​being. :)
I appreciate the commitment to community outreach that Dr. Toth displays. Having a business in a community is great but driving the health and wellness of that community shows devotion. I appreciate that :)

I just had my first chiropractic adjustment 4 days ago from Dr. Toth. He was courteous and professional. He took his time with me and made me feel at home in his office. His staff was friendly and welcoming. He gave me a fantastic adjustment and I have experienced a noticeable change in how I feel. I feel relaxed and far more free of pain. I hope it lasts till my next appointment which is a few weeks away. Even if it didn’t, IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT!

Couldn’t be happier about finding Toth Chiropractic. I moved to Santa Rosa about a year ago and hadn’t bothered to find a Chriporactor, because I just didn’t need one. Then after a bad fall from a horse and extreme back pain after a bodywork session went awry — I need a Chiropractor and fast. I turned to Unilocal and found Dr. Toth.
I called and made an initial appointment with the super friendly and lovely front desk associate. From my first appointment I knew that I Unilocal had done me right again and helped me find Dr. Toth.
After my first appointment I liked Dr. Toth’s calm and explanatory bedside manner. Plus after some adjustments I was back feeling like myself. I came 2 times per-​week until all my pain went away and now I’m just coming in for the occasional adjustment.
So glad I found Dr. Toth!

Dr. Toth is THE BEST! I refer him all the time and he is our family’s chiropractor. He provides holistic solutions for real healing, not just a quick fix. He is focused on a treatment plan that rehabilitates you completely; for this line of work, I really value being able to trust that Dr. Toth cares about my well being, not on keeping me dependent on his services. In writing this, I realize that I used to be skeptical about chiropractors, but Dr. Toth’s treatment has fixed issues that I believe no other line of work could have corrected. When I first visited Dr. Toth, I had back pain so bad that it would wake me if I rolled over during the night. I’m in my mid-​twenties, and knew that level of pain didn’t make sense for someone my age (or anyone!). I went to Dr. Toth and explained to him that I had never been to a chiropractor, and that I was nervous about adjustments. He was warm, kind, understanding, and confidently explained what was going to happen as he made adjustments, to set me at ease. That was just over 2 years ago, and I’ve been his patient ever since. I go at least once a month for maintenance appointments, and for a while at the beginning was going a few times per week. Dr. Toth has helped my back become completely pain free — he has helped to completely transform my spine. Through the years, he’s also helped me with shoulder, hip, knee, neck, and ankle issues — any time that I have any pain, I make an appointment with Dr. Toth. I highly recommend him, and I’m now a firm believer in the power of chiropractic in healing the body.

I was a patient of Dr. Toth’s for a few years in CA and I often wish I could move him to NYC to continue his chiropractic care!
His sessions not only have you feeling more aligned in your body, but feeling more centered overall. His bedside manner is so kind and attentive that you feel immediately relaxed in his presence.
He also educates you on each of his techniques and what he feels is going on with you in that specific session, so you feel empowered in your own health.

While visiting family in the area, I had the opportunity to be treated by Dr. Toth. I am very fussy about chiropractors and have been told that I am «hard to adjust.» His adjustment was amazing. I left with much more freedom of movement especially in my mid-​back. If I lived there, he’d definitely by my chiropractor. Give him a try.

I love going to visit Dr. Doug. I’ve seen him for some ongoing health maintenance for several months and I always leave feeling better and more energetic. I’ve even gone in when I had a headache or had pulled my back and I felt great after the treatments and my aches and pains disappeared. He always manages to get in some good advice, a new perspective, or some stretches or such that help and I really appreciate that he goes the extra mile. His holistic approach is very accessible, in other words he’s not too new agey, and he is a joy to be around. His office staff is fabulous too. I would recommend Doug to anyone looking for a chiropractor, and I don’t take my medical professional recommendations lightly!

I went to see Dr Toth for neck/​shouder issues. I was hesitant to see a chiropractor as I am a petite woman with a small frame but I feel safe with Dr Toth doing manual adjustments. I have regained range of motion in my neck and the pain shooting down my arm is retreating! I have had occasional adjustments in the past but it’s been 30 years since I have found a chiro this effective. Dr Toth is also caring and good at listening and Paula is always friendly and cheerful when I walk in.

Dr. Toth has been incredibly helpful in resolving my son’s issues from an auto accident, with pain and body adjustment, but also with crucial information provided to insurance adjusters and attorneys so that I can afford to continue my boy’s very necessary treatment. I cannot honestly recommend another chiropracter. Much relief, on so many levels, has been provided by the hands of this doctor.

I have been getting adjustments from Dr. Toth since 2006. He takes a holistic approach to health, gives great adjustments for competitive prices, and he’s probably one of the nicest people (in and out of the office) I’ve ever met. He’s worth driving to if you are anywhere in the north bay area. I even drive from Oakland for his magic touch. Dr. Toth is awesome. Ask for his package deals and feel the difference!

I love Dr. Doug and his staff!
Having been to a lot of chiropractors in my life, this guy has been the most effective for me.
He’s even converted my usually non-​compliant skeptic of a fiancé to not only attend sessions regularly, but be more self-​aware of his body, take a lil yoga and do daily streches to maintain the effectiveness of his adjustments.

Dr. Doug always has a friendly, laid-​back yet professional demeanor and a very holistic approach without being too new agey, pushy or lecturey. He’s very knowledgeable and has access to other resources to enforce healthy lifestyle changes.
The end result, of course, is a lot of freedom from pain. We’re both tremendously pleased with our results.
