I was really looking forward to the birthday cake I ordered from Tina for a family reunion. Plans changed and I had to cancel the order when I learned I was now bringing the coleslaw. Tina was very gracious at cancelling the order even though she had already purchased the ingredients. I look forward to our next event when I can bring that yummy and creative cake from Willow Tree Bakery.

Tina makes the most delicious cupcakes in a wide and unique variety of flavors that are all perfectly balanced. Tina is more than a wonderful baker, she is a wonderful human who really cares about her customers and is willing to make your ideas come to life! I first met her at a bridal expo in Santa Rosa, I tried a sample of her snicker doodle cake and I was sold right then and there. Trying her other flavors sealed the deal, and I chose her to make mini cupcakes for my wedding. The months leading up to my wedding, she was always eager to meet with me, discuss the order, offer tastings, and developed a great relationship. If you want someone who is affordable, eager to work with you, makes great cakes, and really cares about you and your event, definitely go with Willow Tree Bakery!

The cake tasted pretty good. Although we discussed a mixture of instant coffee and powdered espresso, and there didn’t seem to be any instant. It seems that she doesn’t pay attention to detail. Correct spelling should be of importance. She did deliver it when she said she would but overall I think it’s overpriced for what was delivered.

It was such a joy working with Tina. Our wedding cupcakes (all 262 of them) were absolutely marvelous and enjoyed by all. She has such attention to detail and totally captured our wine theme with beautiful grape and grape leaf motifs. Tina’s spice cake with Lagunitas frosting was incredible as was her carrot, vanilla with raspberry, and her chocolate ganache. The perfect bride and groom cake was her tiramisu — it was delish. Wow! I’ve had the pleasure of working with Willow Tree bakery twice now and all I have to say is my experience has been fantastic. The cake is moist, delicious and well-​balanced. I highly recommend the chocolate cake with the chocolate raspberry ganache. Soooooo amazing! Tina’s ability to customize the cake decorations to your vision is second to none. She is truly an artist. Tina at willow cakes really hooked me up… I called her last minute afraid it would not be enough time to get a Bday cake and she took my order… I picked up a beautiful cake and my girl loved it! Thanks Tina we will be back!

I had the pleasure of meeting Tina at WCB wedding expo last weekend. I sampled a few of her cakes and they were delicious! What struck me about Tina was her humility and passion for her craft. The cakes were as beautiful as they were tasty. I’m studying to be a wedding planner and I know I’ll be seeing more of Tina

I ordered cake for birthday, just want to say who want order. First she take order by phone and when is ready pick up one small house, doesn’t have business address so never know how she made it or ordered some where else. cake is ok but price high, and was smaller than what I was expected. I don’t understand how health department checking what she selling. there is no business address.

Tina made us a perfect wedding cake that was equal parts delicious and gorgeous! I was on the fence about even having a big cake as everywhere else we looked seemed so unreasonably priced. However, once we met Tina and found out we could have a three-​tier cake for well under our budget I was sold. It doesn’t hurt that she’s one of the sweetest people ever (no pun intended) who clearly loves what she does and is awesome at it. We got so many compliments on both the appearance and the taste of the cake — we heard «best wedding cake ever» from multiple people (including my hard-​to-​impress, professional-​baker father). All-​in-​all could not be happier with Tina and our cake! Can’t wait to crack into that 1-​year anniversary piece :)

Our wedding cake was a lot smaller then expected for being 4 tiers. The rounds just weren’t that big. The cake itself while it was delicious, was not beautiful by any means. It was lopsided and did not look at all like what we had pictured and provided photos of for reference. This was shocking and surprising because it really does seem to be contrary to what has been posted here. The extras on it were supposed to be marzipan and instead were just sugar and gum paste. We ordered multiple different flavors for each tier but because the rounds were so small, most people, including ourselves never even got to try anything besides the peanut butter, but that did at least taste good.
Our initial communication started off great but it trailed off. Tina completely forgot about one of our appointments. We had really high hopes for our cake based on previous reviews but were unfortunately let down on multiple fronts. We would not go with this business again.

Tina made our cake for our September wedding and I can’t recommend her highly enough! We found her through Unilocal because of her high ratings. She was everything that people said about her. From our first meeting she was kind, encouraging, positive, and helpful. She accommodated us on her day off in her home to go over what kind of cake we wanted. She worked with our budget and communicated with us until the wedding day.
Then the cake came! She delivered it and did the final touches at the venue. It looked beautiful and elegant – more than we hoped for (pictures on Unilocal do not do her work justice). And it tasted even better! Nearly all our guest said it was the best wedding cake they’d ever had, I’m not exaggerating.
All I can say is if you can book her, do it. She’s a delight and your cake will be amazing!

Amazing wedding cake! Beautiful & delicious! Tina is the best, after having an initial tasting of her Beer Cake I booked her for my wedding, months and months went by, I wasn’t keeping in touch as often as A bride should but I had ZERO worries! Everyone loved the cake, guests even took slices home, I’m so glad to have come across Tina’s booth at Wine Country Bride. Thank you Tina!

I contacted Tina about a week before my wife’s birthday. After sending some pictures and exchanging ideas, she was all set. She delivered the almond joy inspired cake right on time for a surprise party. It could not have turned out better. For the past week, people have been talking about how delicious it was. Tina does amazing work! Paired with a cheerful attitude and willingness to let her creativity flow. She’s one hell of a baker and cakestress! She truly went above and beyond to create an awesome specialty cake for my boyfriend’s birthday.
After all the glowing Unilocal reviews for Willow Tree Bakery, I decided to give her a call to talk about a Death Star cake idea I had in mind. My boyfriend is a huge Star Wars fan but is pretty darn particular when it comes to getting the details just right, so I was hesitant to get a specialty cake as I didn’t think anyone would be able to create an accurate and detailed Death Star that would be to his liking. I was wrong. Tina kindly squeezed me into a very busy week… she had 7 cakes to make including a 5 tier wedding cake, all due to be picked up on the day I wanted mine, of course. You are supposed to give at least 7 days notice, and I called on day 6 so I wasn’t even sure I’d be able to have a cake made in that short amount of time, but she was so excited to do it and took on the challenge, to my delight. She was very easy to work with and a pleasure to deal with in general. I knew after our first phone call that I’d found the right person for the job, and I could hardly wait to see what she came up with.
Now, based on what I’ve said thus far, if you aren’t already convinced of her rock star cake makin’ abilities, she blew my mind when she informed me a few days before pick up that she hurt herself by taking a fall in Costco while getting cake supplies, but she wasn’t going to let that stop her. Leg in a soft cast and in a lot of pain, she worked hard to complete all the cakes she had to get done. She could have cancelled on me and I would have understood completely, but she persevered and made the coolest (and one of the tastiest) cakes I’ve ever had! A few things had to be tweaked with the cake due to the size and shape of it, and the pick up time had to change due to her being a little behind, but that was no big deal to me. And because she had to push out the pick up time to when the birthday party was to start, she delivered the cake to my house free of charge so I didn’t have to leave during the party to go pick up the cake. Way cool of her to do that!
My boyfriend was in Star Wars heaven when he laid eyes on the cake. It was incredible, and everyone at the party could hardly believe someone could make such a cake, especially considering all the obstacles that arose in the process. The chocolate cake was delicious… super moist and not overly sweet. The chocolate ganache was wonderful and even the fondant was yummy. I’ve never been a fan of fondant as it usually is so hard and tastes really artificial and too sweet for my liking. Tina’s fondant was soft and tasted of good quality ingredients and wasn’t overly sweet, but definitely sweet enough. She did mention she uses high quality ingredients in her cakes, and she delivered in every way, from the look of the cake to the taste of it. I couldn’t have been more pleased with what she created, and the look on my man’s face when he saw his birthday cake made my day! I’m not used to spending $ 100 on a cake but it was WELL worth it, considering all the detail and hard work she put into it. I found her fees to be very reasonable and fair. Should I ever need a specialty cake in the future, I know who I’ll be calling. Thanks Tina!

I am so happy we found Tina! On a recent birthday-​trip to Sonoma/​Santa Rosa, we were looking to surprise our friend with a specialty cake. We lucked out by finding Willow Tree Bakery here on Unilocal!
We sent Tina a photo of a Day of the Dead cake we’d seen on another bakery’s site (one that was too far away for us) and not only did she recreate what we loved about the cake we’d seen — she went above and beyond and made it BETTER — adding beautiful roses, stuck on with gumdrops, and more detailed artwork on the face.
In addition, her prices are very reasonable, the cake was absolutely delicious in addition to being beautiful, and Tina was a real pleasure to work with and very easy to communicate with and arrange pickup (she was also very flexible and gracious about our changing schedule/​plans).
Tina is a real artist, and clearly someone who loves her work. If you’re looking for a very special cake for a special someone in your life, you should give her a call!

Tina is wonderful! I called her last minute with help on getting a Harley shaped cake made for my moms 60^th birthday. She was more than helpful and excited to make it for me. She got if done right on time and it looked better than I could imagine. Everyone at the party was obsessed with it. I couldn’t be more happier or grateful for her work!

I ordered a cake from Tina for a baby gender reveal party and I cannot say enough about how great she is and what a wonderful job she did!
My husband and I were super excited to find out I was pregnant and I had seen an episode of Cake Boss where a couple ordered a cake and had the ultrasound tech write down the baby’s sex and they gave that to the baker and the he made the inside either pink or blue to show the sex of the baby. It is a neat way to celebrate with family and friends and have everyone find out the baby’s sex at the same time.
My planning was not great and I had my ultrasound the day before the reveal party, this did not leave Tina a ton of time and she ended up making 2 cakes so she would be ready with either pink or blue. That is just above and beyond if you ask me!
My aunt picked up the cake the day of the party and it was perfect! So incredibly cute, I asked for it to be based on the cow jumping over the moon nursery rhyme and she wrote the poem out on the cake with all the characters. It was far better than I hoped. Plus when we cut it open (it was blue! Yay, baby boy!) it was delicious! We ordered lemon cake with a lemon curd mousse and everyone at our party just loved it.
So thank you Tina and in the future any cake will always be ordered from her!

Tina such an amazing person. I called her about week before I needed a cake for my boyfriends birthday and despite everything she had going on the weekend before pulled off this super amazingly delicious surfboard cake (peanut butter and chocolate) it tasted just like a Reese’s peanut butter cup, also really moist. She also had me send her a picture of his surfboard and duplicated it so that the cake was an exact match. If you go anywhere else for a cake you’re hitting up the wrong bakery. Thank you Tina!

I was one of Tina’s first brides years ago and I can only say that the beauty of her cakes has stuck with me all of these years! I have had my wedding cake, a baby shower cake, and a birthday cake artfully crafted by Willow Tree Bakery and have nothing but high praise for all of them! Do yourself a favor and try the chocolate cake! It is the best I have ever had.
Tina is creative when it comes to decorations as well as being wonderfully adventurous and always open to try something new! She will truly cater to what type of cake YOU are looking for no matter how crazy. I will continue to be a frequent customer of Willow Tree for it’s high quality cake and wonderful customer service!
