Must try the rolled fish tacos and their chile relleno burrito– so good!

Service and speed was good, but the food was disappointing. The nachos were a soggy mess and the horchata was watered down. We are a family of four and none of us were wowed by the food. This place was on par with any of the other Mexican food shacks slinging rice and beans… nothing special here.

This drive thru service was very fast! $ 10.15 for a flan and a mixed burrito with guac & sour cream I thought was pretty reasonable. The burrito was HUGE, I haven’t felt this full in a long time, very filling. The flan on the other hand was horrible. It was closer to jello than flan, and the cream was definitely curdled. I couldn’t even finish it. All in all this place was pretty decent.

I always come here because I like that it has a drive through. And I’ve always thought my food was good. But last night I got a carne asada burrito and my husband got carne asada nachos. We both had bones in our food. Like huge bones! I’m so disgusted.

Ordered Carnitas Burrito last night from this place and it had a bone the size of a quarter in it. I cracked my tooth and almost swallowed the bone.

We have always liked the food we have gotten here always hot and fresh and it is close by to us so it is very convenient. It isn’t the most authentic but it sure hits the spot for good !

I am an avid Mexican Food fan… I tried multiple places in the area… Finally tried Cazadores since I noticed a lot of people were there… I’ve since been there a few times and ordering different items there and I have to say you definitely get your moneys worth as in portion size is larger then usual… Staff is very professional and fast with getting your food too… I will continue to come here since they are very consistent with the food quality there!

I had dinner here recently and ordered the Veggie Burrito, which was big and full of flavor. I ordered mine without rice, which is just cheap filling in a burrito, in case you haven’t noticed. The burrito was certainly not a vegan dish, as it had cheese and sour cream, but the flavor was wonderful, regardless. I wonder if the beans had lard — they were awfully flavorful. I will order this again! My lovely dining partner, Mel, ordered the Ixtapa Combo, which came with a shrimp taco, a fish taco, and rice and beans. I didn’t taste this, but it looked good, with lots of fat shrimp and a good-sized piece of fish. Cazadores has a friendly staff, with lots of nice extras like a decent salsa bar, zanahorias, and all the standards. You order at the counter and there is plenty of room to sit with friends and family. I highly recommend this place for a great eating experience in Santee!

My favorite Mexican food spot in Santee. I love dem boys that work here… they are so friendly. My favorite is the quesadilla supreme! I can never finish it because it’s huge but I love trying. I take mine without beans but it has shredded Lettuce, small amount of diced tomato, «American guacamole»(which is sour cream & guacamole mixed together) plus your choice of Carne asada or chicken asada and of course cheese. It’s so yummy. My only complaint is that they are more expensive than your average taco shop :)

Okay so, I typically don’t feel the need to leave reviews. However, I’ve been coming to this place a while now and I have NEVER disappointed in the quality of the food and the great customer service. This is one of my favorite mexican places to eat, not only in Santee but in San Diego in general. And the exceptional service adds to it. The Diablo Shrimp Burrito is the bees-knees! Worth every penny, keep up the good job !!

Went here today for a breakfast burrito and was shocked to see it was over six dollars for a bfast burrito. I was also shocked to see they don’t come with potatoes and that would be .85 cents extra. Now bringing the burrito to well over seven dollars. So I opted to go with the bean and cheese. It’s my opinion that if a taco shop(don’t tell them that) can’t make a decent bean and cheese they shouldn’t be making anything else cause they probably mess that up too! Well much to my surprise, other than the fish taco($ 2.99) the bean and cheese burrito was the cheapest item on the menu.($ 3.99) I’m not cheap. I just don’t like overpaying for anything. When the burrito came it was a good size and had good flavor. The only negative is that the cheese inside did not melt. Which tells me the tortilla and beans were not hot enough. Oh well. It was a decent burrito and I left full. I wouldn’t run back unless someone else was paying.

It’s been a while since I have ventured back to Cazadores. Back in the day when this shopping center was built on the western edge of Santee, I use to visit Cazadores on an almost weekly basis. This place features a late opened drive thru(1AM on the weekends) and a pretty good sized dining area for some local taco shop food. The restaurant is quite clean inside and the salsa bar( ) features four different hot sauces, pickled veggies, diced onions, limes and some radishes. All great little sides to add to your food. Almost all the sauces seem to taste pretty decent with the darker red on the left being my absolute favorite. It seems like this place has earned some bad reviews lately and I can’t seem to understand why. Their burritos( ) here are quite stuffed to the gills and their California( ) seemed to come with lots of great tasting carne asada and pico de gallo. I know some people really get grumpy when they have to pay extra for guac or sour cream in their California, but the standard isn’t supposed to come with them in my opinion. They add plenty of meat to them though and it’s all great flavorful stuff that was cooked fresh to order, what’s not to like about their California? Their order of rolled tacos here( ) come with lots of toppings which include guacamole, cheese, lettuce and tomato. The only downer here is that they add American guacamole by default and you have to ask for the real stuff. Personally I think you should have to opt out of real guacamole instead of opting in. The pollo asado tacos( ) here are quite big with two larger corn tortillas and come with lots of chicken inside of them. They add the real stuff to their soft tacos, no need to switch it up. Their pollo meat is great stuff, cooked perfect with good sized chunks. I personally think Cazadores is definitely one of the better Mexican places in Santee, even though the competition has changed a lot since they first opened. They still serve large burritos, have great tasting hot sauce, delicious meats and the prices not too high. The service is the only thing I would change here, the food took an awful long time to come out and the staff didn’t seem too friendly to us when ordering the food. Also if you’re in a hurry or require some late night food, the drive thru is a winner.

Not sure what so special about this place! The food is marginal at best; I can get better Mexican food from a whole in wall place that’s real & taste amazing. Bland and tasteless without the salsa or hot sauce which by the way not one person in that place knows what in the guacamole sauce can you say from a can or jar!!! Don’t get me started on the personality of a wet mop of the guy taking my order. I told him I was allergic to dairy & my food should not have any cheese or sour cream I got a look that I was bothering him with my presence. I WILLNEVER come here again!

I just sat through the longest drive through ever to get a freezing cold Barito like it came out of the refrigerator epic fail I will never come back here again I don’t even know if this is safe to eatThe first time I came here they messed up my order and I got someone else’s burrito I thought it was an isolated incident but apparently these people have no idea what they’re doing in the food service industry

Overpriced, Sub-Par Mexican Food When I pay $ 20 for 2 people at a walk-in place like this, I expect better quality.(FYI, Chipotle is FAR healthier, better tasting, and less expensive. I wish we had gone there.) The portions here are good, but the food itself is not good. The enchilada tasted horrible. The secret is NOT in this sauce. If I weren’t so hungry, I would have skipped it. Isn’t everything supposed to taste good when you’re hungry? Yeah, it was that bad. The California burrito was cheese, French fries & meat. Nothing else. That’s no Bueno. I need more effort than that. Work with me here. We were going to hit up Little Caesars but wanted a healthier alternative. It was barely above Pizza Pizza quality, at 4x the price. Two stars. You’ve been warned.

Wish I could give them a zero. We went here tonight and all 3 of our orders were wrong. They gave us raw french fries, cold burrito’s and wrong order for rolled taco’s. We spent 30.00 on food we could not eat. When I asked for salsa the rude woman could not be bothered to give me any and I had to drive/park and get out and get some. No customer service. We called and tried to talk to the rude woman but she was extremely difficult. So we took our food back and demanded our money back. Which the woman fought us on. DONOTEATHERE!!! DONOTSUPPORTRUDEPEOPLE Jack in the box has better taco’s. Now we will never come back.

If the counter help didn’t look like they were taking a break from their more lucrative business to fill in for the help didn’t show up that day it might gain a better rating. The food is meh, the atmosphere is meh, it’s more about the convenience than the food. The pricing is fair for what you receive, and the opposite entry drive-thru keeps you on your toes when you’re in a rush to grab and go.
