This place was a horrible experience for me and my little nephew. We stopped by on Memorial Day for some ice cream first thing we came across was a sign outside the door that said «on lunch will be back at 3:05» so we waited. Once they opened they had a lot of people waiting in line and they’re was only one person working. Like really…

We visited this Cold Stone at 6pm-​ish. 12 people ahead of us in line and one employee… but she killed it! She was quick and CS was great! She did so well under so much pressure. Good job! :)

You get no stars from me. Your Ice cream representative I spoke to earlier in the week assured me that you have an associate that makes cakes on site, and would be able to make the Custom Seattle Seahawks birthday cake that I requested for my daughter… I’m dumbfounded that you charged me for what is pictured. If I had more time before her party I would’ve just asked for a refund, and taken my business elsewhere. We won’t be visiting the Santee location again.

Lindsay is the most rude employee I have ever come into contact with at Cold Stone! Waiting for a call from the owners! So angry… update Sunday… still no call from owners like I was told would be done. So I was told I would hear from an owner about the issue… instead the manager that tried to talk to me Saturday and took my info decides to call me. She is the one that said she would have the owners call me. Really? And still no phone call from the owners

I am so upset. I literally just parked and saw the open sign on as I walked up they shut it off and said they were closed as two people had their ice cream and checking out but the door was unlocked. I asked them are you serious? And they said Ya. I came all the way from La Mesa not like they knew that but still. I felt like they were so rude and I was embarrassed.

Quick service, no waiting, great selection and clean establishment

I love that they put a Coldstone at the Santee Town Center! Everyone knows and loves the business for their hand scooped, hand mixed, custom confectionary concoctions, created at your request. This time around, I got ice cream, but in a different form.
I am a fan of ice cream sandwiches of any kind. I actually was instructed to go inside and get an ice cream cake or some ice cream cupcakes. Well, the helpful gal behind the counter easily talked me into cake batter sprinkle ice cream cookie sandwiches, which cost less money than the cake would have and were absolutely delicious! They actually went over better at the dinner party I brought them to. So, in the future, when I’m in search of ice cream sandwiches, I’m going to visit Coldstone.
Great service at this location. Friendly, helpful staff. Just like most local businesses, I give them love if they treat me right.

Went in specifically to get chocolate ice cream. Was told they were out. I was a little bummed but it happens. Sat and ate my ice cream and saw a white costumer order chocolate 5 minutes after i did. The employee went to the back and brought the chocolate ice cream out. Never coming to this racist establishment again.

The staff is friendly, the location is convenient, they are open late and their ice cream is one of a kind!

I tried to contact Cold Stone about this matter but when you click «Report a Problem» on their website, it comes up blank every time.
This location is unsanitary. Before scooping my ice cream, the person serving me (Kayleigh) wiped the ice cream scoops off on her apron. Then, when she handed me the ice cream, her top finger was touching my ice cream. gross! Who knows how long it had been since she washed them (if at all).
I shouldn’t have accepted the ice cream or paid but I did because I didn’t want to cause a scene. I ended up throwing out the ice cream anyways.
After we paid for our order, we tried to sit inside the cold stone because it was hot outside. We couldn’t even do that because every table was dirty and sticky.
Don’t go here. I wouldn’t be surprised if they make someone sick in the future.

Only 2 stars because the last 2 times I came here were very different visits. The 1^st one was great! Everyone was friendly and the ice creams were made quickly and all is good! The most recent time however… wow. We came in at approx 9:15. 15 minutes before they close. If they didn’t want to help people before their closing time, they should change their closing time. We waited as another set of customers couldn’t decide what they wanted. Finally at about 9:28, they decide and the lady moves to us. She was very rude to the 1^st set of customers. While helping us, another set of customers came in and she told them they were closed. The customers said oh, the lights are on, the door is unlocked and the open sign is still on. So the lady walked over and locked the door and shut off the open sign and then got even more upset when the last set of customer’s kids tried to come in. The lady was out of control rude and we’ll go find another place to go. Obviously this is the same person everyone else is complaining about and she still has a job. Weird. I guess they are trying to thin out their customer base.

I went in looking for a birthday cake, mine. To my shock, the freezer was broken and was told that the ice cream cakes «were a little messed up.» That is a complete contradiction of terms — a freezer broken in an ice cream store. The didn’t have a small round one and wanted to sell me the remaining large one for $ 10 more. I asked if it was in the freezer too but they said it wasn’t bad but the others were messed up because of the freezer. Wow! They wanted full charge, $ 35, for a birthday cake that was in the same broken freezer and they wouldn’t even discount it. They didn’t just loose a sale for a birthday cake, but they lost a local customer for life.

So, only reason I’m even leaving one star is because I have to. This place is horrible. The manager, Kelly is by far the most rude person ever. Whole time we were in line she kept talking about how she was leaving and wasn’t going to help her fellow coworkers out. Last time I was in there I printed out my coupon, the same manager exclaimed how she had to see the coupon on my email so she knew it was really mine. Coming in today I figured it would be the same way. I was informed I had to have it printed. After me proving her wrong about the what she said the last time I was in there she took my ice cream and threw it in the fridge, I’m guessing she’s saving it for herself for later. Any who, I will definitely never be coming back here and I unsubscribed from any coldstone emails.

Very disappointed with the service i got there and they tripple charged me for my order. on 06/​09/​2015 i walked in to buy med size icec cream on a cup with the waffle in it… the server had idea how to make it .i shud have gotten her name… she made it again for the second time and still messed up .i told her then to forget it and just givee whaever she had made, when o went to pay, i had a $ 50 bill which she told me she cannot take it becauae its against the policy they can only take $ 20 bill, so i used my atm to pay, and when she asked me if i needed my receipt i was so pissed off i did not answer her i jus walked away with my ice cream., Now i just happend to look at my transactions online and the cashier charged me 3 times more the original price. Today is 06/11…2days later. I just called the store to talk to the manager and apparently he or she will be in the store on saturday… that is such a bad thing to do .if the cashier is pissed at the customer they shouldnt revenge… am sooo pissed and i cudnt care less for the chargw but i will make sure no other customer will get the service i got… for sure i will not go back there again and hope i convince u to go to another store where customers are treated well with no rip offs… very disatisfied… u dont deserve a star

Riah was working there alone yesterday evening. Holy cow. She was awesome. She kept the long line moving efficiently. She was very personable and provided OUTSTANDING customer service. I’ve never thought about tipping for ice cream before but she got a $ 3 tip on a $ 10 bill last night. I would come back here because of this experience. She should be a manager. Hopefully the bosses read this.

We went here yesterday around 3:00 and there were a few costumers in there, not too busy. There were two employees working, a young male and a young female. I’m guessing the male was somewhat new because he asked the female for instructions a few times. They were both very friendly TO US. The female, however was visibly a little impatient with the male as he was asking for help. If he is not new, and should know his job by now, I can understand her frustration. However, customers shouldn’t be able to recognize it. If he is new, then there’s no need to get impatient with him to begin with. I don’t want to criticize her because she was very friendly to the customers but it bugs me to whiteness stuff like that. The ice cream was good and they both did a good job. I’m sure we’ll be back if we were in the area.

I went into the Santee Cold Stone on a rainy cold Sunday afternoon. I thought when I went in there that I would be the only one there. To my surprise there were two people ahead of me. The two nice friendly girls working that day got me in and out of there in no time and the ice cream was great as always.

I really like ice cream and especially like when ice cream is mixed with bits of some of my favorite candy bars. So, when I learned from the menu that they were doing that here, I was in with some rich chocolate ice cream mixed with peanut butter cups.
I was surprise to learn that they mixed the ice cream and candy bar right Johnny on the spot. I did not know that. I watched when the young girl mixed it, but I thought she mixed to much because the peanut butter cup melted into the chocolate and almost became one. I would of rather had chunks of peanut butter cups mixed in, but individual pieces.
That being said, the chocolate ice was rich in chocolate flavor and creamy. The peanut butter cup tasted good, but good watered down given it was extra mixed into the chocolate.

It was a beautiful day out so why not get ice cream. I was highly disappointed when my son’s ice cream had a string of hair in it. Yuck! The employee was apologetic and wanted my name and number for a free ice cream upon our next visit. No thank you…

Stopped into Cold Stone to try the new skinny option. The girl that assisted us was not the most friendly but she got the job done. She was not very liberal with anything we ordered but this was just a small treat after lunch, so I didn’t fret. The skinny vanilla I got, unfortunately, was not very tasty and actually not very cold. I usually enjoy this ice cream chain but don’t think I will be going back to this specific one any time soon.
