I’ve had several jobs completed by Ernie Sigala and the HCM team! Every time «perfection». If you listen to the few people that have given this company bad reviews, then you are not listening to me. I would take a Bugatii to him in a second. Greatness!!!

Don’t take your car here. He will do shitty work. Had him install a supercharger and spark plugs after a couple of months got a ticking noise from the engine. I took it to another shop and ford to get looked at and they couldn’t figure out where the sound was coming from without spending alot of money for them to go into the motor. Since the car was running fine and I just had an annoying tick I didn’t have it fixed. Eventually the car developed a hesitation and at that time I decided to pull the spark plugs and 2 of the plugs were so loose that they came out without the wrench. Changed plugs and put to correct torque and now the tick is gone and the car runs great. If the extra time was taken to make sure it was installed correctly I would never have had the tick. Owner also installed an x pipe on my car and broke one of the welds on my axle back and rather then saying he broke it and fixing it he denied it and only fixed it because I conplained. Stay away from this shop!

I didnt even know this garbage con artist and his business were on here or I would have reviewed them long ago! Honestly after multiple name changes just to stay in business its not hard to see why I didnt know the same crooked owner existed under this name. I can see clearly Unilocal is failing again, as their are only 2 posted reviews and there are 10 legitimate other 1 star reviews not being counted! Ernie Sigala, the owner and proprietor of this business is a complete crook, he has taken many people for thousands of dollars, myself included.
My personal experience with this business was being quoted a certain price for work to be performed by a certain time and both of those quote’s being a complete lie. I was having a fluctuating throttle on launch with my Mustang and I took it to Ernie at HCM, he diagnosed it as a clogged fuel filter, quoted me 2 hours labor at $ 60 an hour plus the cost of a new fuel filter roughly $ 10 – 18. Not only did I get my car 4 hours later but I was charged $ 75 an hour for 4 hours and 400% mark up over cost of said Filter from any auto parts store! Worse part? My car still had the problem! I test drove it and came back and said its still doing it and Mr. Sigala promised it would be fixed on his dime the next business day. Next day I was turned away because they were swamped with personal projects to further promote his car club and business… Apparently an acceptable excuse is being too busy building and modifying his own personal vehicles. After over a month of being put off daily and tons of phone calls he looked at my car and in less than 10 minutes diagnosed my car as having a bad (sediment filled) gas tank all together that would have to be replaced at a tune of $ 1200 plus cost of parts and take 3 days to complete. I called BS and went elsewhere. Here is the absolute kicker. I was guaranteed by Ernie that the problem was the fuel tank because he was quote «a mustang expert» and had owned my vehicle and worked on hundreds of cars just like mine… The real problem? Ford has a fuel retardation feed process if you punch the throttle and the traction control is engaged… it will electronically cut the fuel feed and give you a stuttering reduced throttle response. It took a non ford mechanic 30 seconds to give me that diagnosis… then it took him 5 minutes to poke in and around my fuel filter and fuel tank and say that A) there was absolutely nothing wrong with my gas tank and B) My fuel filter was fine but had not been replaced a month prior… he said the filter was the same one installed a year earlier during a tune up, he showed me the invoice provided by HCM and the fuel filter, two different brands and the invoice from my other mechanic with the part number on it that matched the filter on my car and the fact that there wasnt a single glove print on my filter…
Nothing but lies, deception, over charging for services not rendered and BS. I was later told by one of their ex-​employees that he witnessed Ernie pull my car into the shop and let it sit there for over 3 hours then just before I arrived he put it on the lift, put it in the air and let it sit there… not one thing was actually done to my vehicle. I was charged nearly $ 400 for my car to sit in a shop for 4 hours and no new parts installed. I walked into the shop to see my car on a lift and him under it with a light pretending to be finishing up… Months later when I bad mouthed his practices online I was verbally assaulted by Ernie and he actually told an entire forum that I was unstable disgruntled faggot that had gone off my medications and was so angry because his ex-​employee gave me HIV AIDS! None of which was true…
STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS AND ITS OWNER, HE AND HIS BUSINESS ARE NOTHING BUT TROUBLE!!!

I went to Hard Core to purchase my Saleen carbon front lip and have installed. Ernie was a really nice guy and arranged my install on a Sunday. The car at the shop and work he does is very impressive. He installed my lip in the hot 100+ weather. The lip turned out very nice.

Don’t trust them with your car! They do extremely bad, shoddy work and want the money up front. Been known to use JB Weld on brake lines and using wood screws to attach custom body parts and body kits. Bad painting, with runs, drips, thin spots, and burns due to improper buffing. Do a case search on the San Diego Superior Courts website,
