Worst Petco in San Diego. I try to avoid this store like the plague. Awful customer service, current sales usually aren’t posted and returns from other stores are shunned. Team members don’t know much about animals and give a lot of incorrect information. Management is also rude and misinformed on corporate policy.

Just want to say a Huge THANK YOU to CHAD at the Sante Petco. I called in today looking for a pet memorial plank or stone that they could carve my pets name in who we just had to put down. He took the time to really help me even though they didn’t have what I was looking for. He gave me a great idea and told me a little story about what he did when his dog passed away. His idea of contacting my vet before it was too late and asking them for a imprint paw print was a success and truly means a lot. Thanks again Chad

Horrible customer service! Took forever to find someone to help me. In that whole entire store, I found one employee! Smh. He wasn’t very knowledgable on the products they carried. He kept telling me «I’m not sure. Buy it and if it doesn’t work, just return it.» I left and went to PetSmart, where I happily spent $ 500. See what you missed out on Petco!

Worst service ever! I love coming to Petco I drop at least 200 on my dog a month and I come in to return something and I get treated like I stole something. The manager was so rude she didn’t even care to talk. To me she wanted to help an older lady I will never come back here again

If you’re looking for a great groomer YOU must go here! No really, Go! The grooming department is amazing, in particular Lindsay. My miniature schnauzer always looks great when Lindsay is done with him. Her «Schnauzer Cut» is the best!!! Not only is the staff professional, caring, and great at what they do, they are so nice! I don’t even live in Santee, it’s worth the small commute.

I went here to buy things for my new dog. I asked if they were returnable if unused. The clerk said yes. I came back that evening with an unused unopened item and was told I could not do so at this register. With no apology I was told to wait in another long line. That clerk told me that they would not give me cash but rather would credit my debit card which would take 3 days. None of this was done apologetically or with any friendliness whatsoever. In fact, the clerks were rude. I will NEVER go back to this store and will shop at Petsmart now, which has a better selection anyway.
