Great bank but horrible branch. Had my cards stolen and came in to get the new ones. Went to the front desk where the girl wouldn’t acknowledge me and make eye contact and was helping a lady do regular transactions instead of going to the teller. Saw me leave to get in the regular line… waited 25 minutes to be helped… only for the lady to say «sorry, you need to go back up front and wait there to be helped». Needless to say, I had to wait in yet another line (the first one I was at) …downloaded the Unilocal app, started writing this review, checked my emails and paid some bills… all before being helped in the SECOND line. This is the only branch I’ve been to (in 20 years) that is almost always under attentive to its customers. Sad to say, but I would rather go out of my way to another SDCCU then this one (and probably still get my banking down faster)

So you stand in a long line just to get change for $ 100 and when you get to the teller guess what? They will deny you real cash currency exchange because they are «slightly different than a bank» you have to have an account with them or they won’t exchange real money to you! What kind of bs is this? What a way to get people to sign up with them by denying a federal reserve note exchange for not having an account with them, don’t waste your time here if you want to exchange real money without an account just a heads up! Now I have to go stand in another long line at a different bank when this all could have been a clearly simple transaction. I will never do business with this place ever!

Been an account holder for 20 years and they’ve only gotten better as the time has passed. Do most of my banking at the Santee branch where all the tellers are nice, friendly and efficient but any branch I go to around the county takes care of me and my banking needs very well.

Went in there this morning a a teller e Danny T gave me the wrong info. First he stated he able cash my check with $ 50, then he comes back after getting the money and stated he can do half and half with $ 50, and $ 100. After that was clear he stated he needex to get approval since it was large sum of a check. You think thats their procotal is to get approval first? Exactly. … I told you could’ve got aprroval before you gave us the expression you cna cash my check. I have a dd from my employer that goes into sdccu biwkly. You think they are able cash my check. He stated since it’s large amt his so called manager in that they need put a 2 day hold. I been banking with more than 10 yrs now… maybe I should take my business somewhere else.

My fiancé went to this Credit Union and received bad costumer service from the front desk receptionist her name was Susan S. She was very unwelcoming and was not attentive to my boyfriends needs. He felt pretty much that she wanted him to leave and would give him short answers to his questions. This is surprising from this credit union as they have usually always been so attentive to us.

By far the worst credit union I have been a member of. I moved out of state and the process I have gone through to get a new ATM card or access and transfer any of the money I have in my SDCCU account has been ridiculous. Everything has to be done by mail because the information they have on the account to verify that I am who I say I am is wrong even though I personally updated it before I moved. If you need anything done on you account you either message them on their website and hope for a response or call and spend over 30min on hold waiting to talk to a representative. The first chance I get to visit San Diego I’m closing my account.

We have a business banking account with SDCCU. An SDCCU phone representative, as well as a live chat representative, said they cannot give me a point-​of-​contact for our suppliers who need to contact the bank. They said that our suppliers must call the main line (and wait on hold for who knows how long) to speak to a representative, then they will get a random representative and have to go through some more hoops before proceeding. Next time they call, it’ll be a different person who answers. This is not how professional business-​to-​business should operate. A direct contact for our suppliers would be much better. Very disappointed, and concerned that this bank may not satisfy the professionalism of our business needs.
They still get 3 stars because overall, they have been a good bank.

Went here to try to refinance our house. We had horrible customer service, they don’t care about the customers at all. They are a big bank it is not better. We couldn’t get a hold of our loan agent, he would never get back to us so we had to call him numerous times to get information. Our house didnt appraise well through their appraiser, we knew that the house was worth more and we tried to work with them but they would not help us. We ended up going through another mortgage company, Gateway Financial, and the house appraised $ 20,000 higher and we got rid of our PMI which the county credit union would not do. It was a huge hassle and a waste of time.

A new addition to the benefits of being a SDCCU member. At this Santee branch they heard comments and concerns from members with pets.
It gets pretty hot in this part of the county. People still need to run errands & do chores which, at times, requires taking the pooch along with us.
This branch now has supplied a water dish for our four legged dependents outside the front door. Also, if you feel they’ve been behaving or need to be rewarded durning training during your visit to SDCCU, ask the front desk and they’ll provide a treat for them.
Another reason SDCCU earn my respect. Thanks to all of you at Santee SDCCU.

I’ve been with SDCCU since 2009, their staffs are very friendly and helpful. They will go an extra mile to help you with the disputes or financial services. Today, I’ve stopped by SDCCU Santee and have meet Mr. MILES PIVOTAL (financial rep.) And received an excellent service. I’m recommending SDCCU to all.

I’ve banked here for nearly 10 years. I have always been well treated by the professional, friendly, and knowledgable staff. I appreciate that their ATM that takes cash or check deposits, the fact that other credit union and all 7 – 11 ATMs are free, and the mobile banking and mobile deposit apps for my phone. I strongly recommend SDCCU and specifically the Santee branch for all banking needs.

This branch has by far the slowest teller service in the sdccu network. I have been here on consecutive days March 18th and 19th and it has been terrible. The tellers seem to think it’s more important to talk about their family life then it is about your transaction and getting you out the door. I am done wasting my time at this location. The branches in Carmel Mountain in Rancho Bernardo are much faster. I do not make a habit of writing negative posts. Believe me, they earned it.

I love this place. Staff is always friendly and nice, patient and very helpful. Especially love Dee. She goes out of her way to help me out all the time. She’s a sweetheart. Additionally, no fees, and they did not take a bail out. Juuuuust sayyyin’. :P

This is a great bank nothing against how there business is ran. Although there employees are not very nice. Kristine or maybe kristen is ver rude and give me dirty looks every time i come in because i have so much cash to deposit. They need a friendlier staff and better customer service
