Went to Home Depot to purchase a Tough Shed. Originally the normal person wasnt working so I was told to come back the next day by the guy at the service counter. Must say I was a bit surprised to hear this since I was about to spend over $ 2000 there, and apparently so was the manager, when she heard as I was quickly helped. Then I was charged $ 200 for a door which made no sense to me, but the guy helping me assured me that the units didn’t come standard with a door. He also put in the wrong vent information as they didn’t fit. After some back and forth Home Depot got it fixed and I was credit a few dollars for the issues which was nice, but still a bit of a frustrating experience.
Then I spoke with Tough Shed and I asked them to stop by and confirm the area was prepped right for the shed since it had to be level. The guy didn’t want to come out and only did once I complained. When he did show up he was pleasant enough. I then scheduled the install for a Tuesday and was promised a call to confirm and provide a time the day before. No call of course. So Tuesday morning I am calling them to find out when they are arriving since I took the day off from work.
The crew finally shows up lead by Sam. Nice guys, hard workers. I could tell they got bonuses for finishing quickly though. Lots of missed nails, exposed shiners, etc.
In the end I am content with my purchase but probably would go somewhere else next time.

Saw a cement tile on Pinterest I wanted. Got to say, Home Depots price is lower than Overstock and lower than Houzz! Planning to order it from Home Depot. FYI… check all prices.

Purchased flooring recently based upon their promise to have the installation done on the weekends. WRONG!!! The installation contractor JW Flooring, which Home Depot has used in the past 20 years does not do installation on the weekends (we found that out after we purchased it and received a phone call stating that they do not work on the weekends). JW Flooring then outsources the pickup and delivery, CV Services who does not call the Home Depot customer until the day of delivery. In addition, CV did not want to walk up 2 flights of stairs (townhome) to leave the material for it to acclimated in the rooms to be installed. They were lazy!!! We can’t complain about the cost of the flooring or the installation, but there is definitely a disconnect in communication between them and their flooring contractor. Home Depot kept deferring us to speak to JW directly. We couldn’t get a straight answer from them. For .89 PSF in installation, you get what you pay for — .89 worth of customer service. Piece of advice: Good deal on flooring, but better to hire your own contractor to do the job and pay a little more for installation where they can knock it out in 1 day. JW sent only 1 guy for a 2−½ day job.

This home depot has the friendliest employees! Every time I go there I always get service with a smile :) The employees always ask if I need anything all the time and the store is always clean and organized. They have a large selection of items.
Love this place

If you’re into spending half the time of your visit looking for help then look no further. Might be worth it if the prices were right, but not the case.

Total fail. Between the smirky attitudes of cashier Edward and department manager Jay, and their customer service fail leaving me and my family outside for a hour waiting on a load crew for my purchase. Bill the store manager doesn’t want to be bothered with his staffs failures because hes too busy wondering around aimlessly while this was going on.
TOTAL FAIL HOMEDEPOT!!! Never again… I would rather dive further to Lowe’s or order via the website somewhere else. You lost a purchase and customer and I will do everything in my power to deter everyone I can from shopping at home depot.

The store manager bill did call me and made a genuine effort to make it right…
I turned down his offer but it’s fair to mention it. Therefore I’m raising the rating from 1 star to 3.

Went in tonight to pick up some outdoor nights. One was out of stock. Bonnie and Jim were so patient and helpful. Best customer service ever at Home Depot!

I purchased a bag of concrete weighing 60 lbs.
I am a petite 58 yr old with a bad back.
I asked the clerk for assistance to load into my car.
She said she would call someone.
Evidently, the ball got dropped.
The cashier next to her lane 2 watched me walk to the entrance to wait. 5 minutes, 10 minutes, the number 2 cashier waved at me and said she had called someone, too.
Meanwhile, other customers were walking past me and saying «you have been waiting along time».
I tried to call customer service line and was put on hold.
I asked clerk in lane 2 to call the manager. 20 minutes later 2 guys show up.
They kept apologizing, in hind site, I should have pushed the cart back to customers services, got a refund, and went to Lowes. I work too hard for my $ to be treated so poorly and waste of time.

This company has its own brand that number one is crap. Harbor bay faucets that die and cannot supply hot water pressure in shower and 2 do not have its own parts in stock. You have to go to get the hardware needed to fix the problem at a pricy hardware store for a crapy piece of shit that does not work. The only solution is to take they’re ripped off crap hardware at a huge expense out and replace with moen or another reputable company I’m so pissed of with company I will never buy another product at this company its cheep and crap. I will do my business at Lowes from now on at least you have better choices not plastic pieces of shit.

Went on a Sunday afternoon to special order a door for an odd-​sized doorway and there was no one in the entire store who knew how to use the door ordering system. One guy was out sick and a woman was on lunch and that left zero of the more than 20 employees who knew how to use a point and click picture system. My 5 year old niece can build a bear, and you’re telling me not one of you can handle a DOOR? No manager was available, so we will be taking our money to Lowes. Serious management fail. They get 2 stars for the staff at least trying, but this was stupid.

I want to thank Gay, flooring, for going above and beyond to help me. I was calling from another Home Depot while waiting over an hour for associate. She was able to take my call, do visual inspection of inventory and place it in a cart for me to pick up within the hour. She really helped to ease my stress levels that day after my Home Depot online store pick up from Sports Arena was cancelled due to error in their system with inventory.

Went to check on prices for upcoming home projects. They have everything you need at a good price.

We were checking out vinyl flooring and a Home Depot employee stopped to ask if we had questions! That never happens. Normally you have to track them down like crouching tiger hidden dragon. It’s no fault of theirs. Home Depot doesn’t hire enough employees and then only works them part time.
Anyway, the store was clean and had a surprising selection of Halloween knick knacks.

The do it herself workshops are always a good time. It’s fun to do with a bunch of girlfriends. The big bummer about it is that there are a VERY limited amount of power tools that have to be shared among 20 – 40 women. Tonight we did a shelf which required a screw gun and a nail gun. There were 40 women and ONE of each power tool. Kind of a bummer but the class and most materials are free! Overall very fun!

If you need to build stuff, The Home Depot is where you go, allegedly.
Well it’s usually the first place that I go but never to this location. Luckily, this location is quite good and has become my new «regular» location.
Why is it great? Well they do have everything you need to build something (just about anything other than electronics and skyscrapers) and it’s pretty reasonably priced. You can easily get lost in here and still end up walking out with stuff you didn’t even know you needed, I know I have.
Anyway, lately I’ve been coming here for some building materials and thus far have perused the most of the aisles several times (mainly because I get lost) and have seen tons of lumber selections, hinges, cabinet hardware, adhesives, tile, flooring, lighting, kitchen materials… blah, blah, blah. There’s tons of stuff here to build just about anything.
If you really want to start daydreaming, run through the garden & patio section and browse all the grills, smokers and patio furniture. Tons of Weber series gas grills, Masterbuilt Smokers, and all sorts of BBQ goodies and hardware under one roof. If only I were a rich man…
All that aside, I’ve been greeted and offered assistance plenty of times here and the cashiers have always been friendly and able to assist me if the self-​checkout lanes are having issues. So overall service is good and definitely adequate enough for a guy like me.
«If you build it, they will come» and you can pretty much find everything you need to build it here.

I was very impressed with the customer return service from a product packaging at another store.
The lady was very nice and apologetic that from another Home Depot store it contained the wrong style of hinges in my order.
She ran in inventory check to verify the inventory at their store, had the product in stock and then had another employee open up the boxes and physically inspect them. They assisted me at looking at all 49 pieces.
That’s great customer service!

Supplies: 4 stars. People skills and customer service: 2. I say you’re more likely to find it here, but know exactly what you want when you go in and avoid talking to employees. If you need help, try another store.
I see that there are many reviews here that disagree, but after too many foul interactions, I must say something. (Check my reviews, I mostly have positive ones.) My husband came in looking for advice on a Pinterest DIY that needed more bracing than the blog post recommended. The guy in the store told my guy: «Well, that’s why you should leave that to the experts.» I was shocked and dismayed.
Today I went in for a toilet seat. Taking my own advice to only go to Home Depot knowing what you want and avoid talking to anyone, I found what I wanted online. Unfortunately, the store didn’t match the site so I approached a sales associate that was on my aisle. I greeted her with a smile and asked for directions, to which she sighed, rolled her eyes and asked what I was looking for. You’d have thought from her tone I asked her to be my personal shopper and deliver it home for me. Goodness. On the upside, she provided accurate directions, but maybe fake a smile or even a blank face instead of that frown.

We appreciate that our Home Depot is dog friendly & has great products for our home. When our family shops there the staff is always helpful & friendly. The store is clean & organized. The store displays need to be maintained better. for example Closetmaid.

Staff are always friendly and willing to help. This store has a bit less selection than others since its not frequented as much by contractors (like El Cajon is). However, they do stock plenty of what they have.

So my husband and I just bought our first home in Santee aria. We never really visited Home Depot in the past unless we really needed to go in for something quick. Since we were remodeling our home though we literally would come into Home Depot 2 times a day for stuff for a good 3 weeks. Every time we came In here 9 times out of 10 Kyle would be working. Right away he would come to us and help. He is so knowledgeable and very well spoken and charming. We asked Kyle about things from light fixtures, to blinds to all sorts of stuff we needed around our house. If I was the manager there I’d definitely recognize his hard work quick! Good job Kyle! Your costumer service is amazing and you can tell your amazing at what you do! Thank you for making our trips to Home Depot fun and worth every penny.
