Service was terrible, and the cashier couldn’t even manage to give the correct change back, making their espresso an even bigger rip off.

The egg plant parm was served cold. Not a big issue just had to have an indifferent staff re/heat it. Even then I give the food maybe 3 – 3.5 stars. The annoying thing was having to view Fox News on all 3 televisions. A real turn off. Bringing personal politics to your restaurant guys is a big mistake.

Pizza was ok. Nothing special. Cheese is 70 cents less. A bit overpriced for what is average Sarasota pizza. There are better options.

I had a nice pie here, great crust but could use sea salt. Good atmosphere and a a foggy day that wood fired store provided a welcome glow.

Great food! The owners are super friendly and the food is great. Real Italian fresh made there Ordered the meatballs and they are just like my mom used to make them. The chicken Parmesan was delicious as well! Give this place a chance. They you might be pleasantly surprised like we are!!!

As a pizza snob from New York, I am confused at many of the low ratings here. The only downside to this place at all is it is a bit pricey but it is downtown Sarasota which always means stuff is a bit pricey. The food is as close to New York Pizza as I have ever had since I’ve been in New York. Everything they have here is delicious. There’s an entire hot food setup of chicken parmesan, ziti, and all of that stuff including specialty pizza. It is absolutely delicious.

Pizza was awful. Sauce and cheese were ok but crust was like cardboard. Hard and tasteless. Left without touching the rest of the large pie we ordered.

I love this place. I have been coming here since I was a kid. The food is incredible. Especially there salads. While the service isn’t always the best, the staff is always really nice and it’s pretty inexpensive for great food. Seating is really limited though.

2.5 stars. I wasn’t crazy about this place. I was told it’s very good and you can get really good pizza here, but I just wasn’t impressed. It felt and tasted a little too much like cafeteria or state fair pizza to me. Maybe their lasagna and other options are better though. I felt like their service wasn’t very friendly overall. Especially the lady at the counter who couldn’t wait for me to pay so she could go back to talking to the lady leaning on the counter next to us. There seemed to be better places to go around the area. Try those first. Cheers!

We had a slice of pepperoni pizza that was fantastic and baked ziti that was pretty good. I only gave 2 stars because the place was disgusting! The glass entry doors had so many greasy fingerprints you couldn’t hardly see in. The whole inside from the counters, walls behind the food everything just seemed very dirty to me. I probably won’t go back just because if that… if what we see us that dirty whats the kitchen like?

I got the Baked Ziti which was lacking in cheese. It also was soupy and not baked enough. I did like the flavor of the sauce; My mom is Italian and it’s hard for me to find a sauce I like. I will try them again perhaps for the pizza. I also went there after a movie for dessert and they had on Italian News which I loved. The owner was very nice too so for that reason I would definitely return.

Service sucked. Man getting our food was rude and creepy. Food was very good. I brought my daughter back because on my first visit the Stromboli was the best I’d ever had. Well the jerk behind the counter was hitting on my daughter and was creepy. Now, my daughter can handle herself and usually has not problem putting a stop to it, but this guy just kept it up and got rude when he realized he wasn’t going to get anywhere. I would love to have the Stromboli again, but I am not sure I’ll go back.

Decent but won’t rock your world. I’ve gotten some decent pizza and strombolii here. It is set up kind of a cafeteria style where you line up like cattle and order. If it is in the steam table they dish it up right away to you. Things like pizza and other items that need to be baked get popped in the oven. I’ve never ordered anything in the steam table, kind of scary. But in a rush, the slices of pizza are ok but the stromboli are greasy goodness and a nice dough. Typically a good place to grab a decent quick lunch or something before a movie at Hollywood 20 next door. Many of film festival has seen me at bravo getting a slice before I jump into another move.
