That’s the bad news. The good news is that this new location is set up like an Apple Store, with checkin, and you can sit and relax until they call your name for the next available agent.
We got a dud for our first visit, who gave us bad information and not the products we needed. But on the second try we got Brandon who was very helpful and sharp and straightened it all that.

Comcast/​Xfinity, the root of all evil.
Began to have trouble with digital service (corrupted sound). After troubleshooting (on my own and later, with svc. rep), I went to the Comcast svc center and swapped out the digital box. After connecting the box, found that I had neither pic nor sound. Called Comcast and scheduled tech visit (4 days later, of course).
Tech replaced the box (saying it, too, was bad) and made some changes to cabling in the attic. Service worked again.
A couple days later, I called Cust. Svc. to request credit for time svc. was out. Rep calculated it and said she would apply.
Checked my new bill today; found that Comcast had charged me $ 50.00 for installation fee and $ 9.95 for a self-​install kit. WTF!!!
Oh yeah, and the credit promised was not there.
Called Comcast (god, I hate dealing with them; just hate it!). At first, the rep said, by way of explanation, «we charge $ 50 for a tech visit». I have the service protection plan which covers repairs, etc to equipment and cabling and when I pointed this out, he said, «oh yes, you’re right». When asked why it was on bill, he blamed it on the tech.
Also asked for explanation for how I could be charged for an installation (which was just swapping out more Comcast defective equipment) AND for self-​install kit — they are mutually exclusive. He had no answer.
Also asked why the credit hadn’t been applied. He saw the notes from my previous call, but could not explain the absence of the credit.
He said he would credit the $ 50.00, the $ 9.95, and the credit for service outage and it would appear in my online account within 24 – 48 hours. I hope so, but how do I trust this guy any more than the one I originally spoke to about the credit?
Payment on my Comcast bill is automatically debited from my bank account. I have had Comcast long enough (way too long) to know they can’t be taken at their word, so I always verify the bill and the payment. But I’ll bet there are many who don’t check and end up paying bogus charges. Hey Comcast, is this due to ineptitude or fraud?
God, I hate F*****g Comcast!

My service (all 3) went out at 2pm on Saturday, the earliest they can get someone out here is Wednesday.

If Comcast had a real competitor were we live, I would switch in a moment. Unfortunately we are stuck dealing with people in person and people on the phone and neither have a clue what the other is doing. And then to top it off, the technicians are a separate entity from the people up front. At least that’s what they tell me. Then they waste your time passing along info you could tell the supervisor directly (who here hates telling the same story 3 and 4 times over???) I feel bad for the employees that work the front office because they take the brunt of it! I will tell you they spend to much time talking and not enough time listening. They could use a class on problem solving and customer relations. You would think they could have had someone come up with a plan to resolve these common daily problems with customers and make people happy to spend their money with Comcast! The experience with Comcast as a company sucks! Good luck to you if you have to use them. Seems like a common trend with this company!

Absolutely terrible customer service. Canceled my service before the 30 day period in which they claim you are covered under an all money back guarantee, not exactly, they sent me a bill for sending a tech to my apartment after the modem they originally gave me malfunctioned after TWO days. Initially I had went to their location and an employee told me my bill had been taken care of and all charges were waived, once again as came to no surprise that I have just received a bill with the same amount of money due that had been previously «taken care of.» I would never recommend this internet company to anyone, specifically because of their terrible customer service.

I literally think I’ll die from a heart attack from dealing with these people. Worst company ever. Ever.ever. different answer every time. Horrendous customer service. Miserable human beings with miserable attitudes. All time worst.

Short review: best Comcast experience I’ve ever had, in multiple states over many years.
The customer service was great. Scott assisted me after I had problems getting service through chat the previous night. Brandon then assisted greatly by finding the package I was offered the previous evening.
All in all, I didn’t have to wait and was met with great service! Thanks for restoring my opinion of Comcast!!!

Just went in today to correct my bill they screwed up and they said they fixed it; not so. I went online and it’s the same still incorrect. This company has no way to print anything you ask for such as proof of a change in billing. I will be doing all I can to escape this company and disconnecting.
Amazing this joke of a company exists. If I worked there I’d be looking for a job at a company that worked properly no wonder so many gave bad reviews!!!

I would like to give COMCAST zero stars but it is not an option. They are AWFUL but they are the only provider in my area where I have a vacation home (Sarasota Fla). They have overcharged me for 2 years on my modem (I use my own) because they ‘thought’ I was renting one of their’s but now they can only take off 4 months worth of their mistake! We are talking a few hundred dollars of over charges on their part. Supervisor’s are not available — you have to leave a number and they will call you back within 24 hours — one way not to have to deal with customers by shutting us out. I called one day and got one price for service called the next day and it went up! They charge you more for downgrading to just having internet services. As a consumer I feel really ‘screwed’ by the system and a monopoly when there are no other services to choose from. I would stay away from this company but it’s the only game in town where I live.

I’d rate it a zero star but Im unable to. Awful customer service ! I’ve had my service set up for 8 days and currently its been out for 4. I made an appointment for a service tech to come out an they didn’t show. I called back to sit on the phone for 45mins to find out the next available appointment was 2 days away. The day of the second appointment they called to say they would be late— then never showed. I called to question where they were and Comcast says they don’t show an appointment for me. 2 NO SHOWS AND COUNTLESS MINUTES WASTED ON THE PHONE WITH THEM ! I’M CANCELING THIS AWFULL SERVICE TODAY ! HIRE SOME COMPETENT PEOPLE ! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I HAD CABLE FOR 6YRS IN CINCINNATI AND NOT ONCE HAD AN ISSUE THAT WASN’T RESOLVED WITHIN A FEW MINUTES VIA A PHONE CALL.

Absolutely the worst customer service and greatest level of ineptitude I’ve ever experienced with any company. I wouldn’t pay for another service from Comcast even if it was offered tome at a fraction of the price for the rest of my life. The only guarantee with Comcast is that you won’t get what you’re billed for and you spend hours of your personal time on hold or dealing with an individual with substandard intelligence.

I detest Comcast! Their customer service is total garbage. I moved into a community where cable was included in the rent. All I was supposed to do was go to Comcast to pick up the boxes and remotes (2 of each allowed under the service agreement with the condo association). I would have been charged an installation fee for a technician to come out with the boxes/​remotes. I waited for over an hour to be helped at the Fruitville office. The staff was horrible. I witnessed them roll their eyes at customers after they walked away from the counter, select individuals at random from those waiting with a ticket, and I don’t believe they could have moved any slower than what they were. For the most part, the cable service was ok but not better than Brighthouse or Verizon. Nine months into the service one of the cable boxes stopped working. The customer service people were rude and condescending. After 10 days of no cable in the living room a service technician came out. He was nice enough but laughed after checking the box and said Comcast only needed to send a signal out to the box. I told him that a signal had been sent to the box and it didn’t work. He suggested that the customer service rep only «said» they were performing the tests but weren’t really. A month later I get a bill for more than $ 100 for the service call, mind you, cable is included in my rent. I fought with Comcast for three months to have the amount removed mainly because no one ever mentioned to me that a fee was involved for a tech to come out and secondly because of what the tech said. I recently received a call from a Comcast representative to find out if I would be interested in upgrading my service. When I explained I would be moving in a week she promptly hung the phone up on me. An hour later I received a call from a third party wanting to know when I would return the FOUR cable boxes I have. They weren’t so nice either. The name of the vendor was Resource Recovery or something along those lines. Seriously? Can I move first? And, by the way, I only have two boxes/​remotes. I’m told their records indicate four and I was responsible for the return of all four boxes. When I asked again who I was speaking to I was rudely informed, «I told you at the beginning of this call we were a service provide NOT Comcast.» Today I call Comcast to make sure their records reflect I only have two boxes before I go sit for an hour or more at the Fruitville office and am told information on the account cannot be given over the phone because the account is no longer associated with my name and phone number but I am given five different offerings to have service at my new address. Ughh!, not on your life! I have no idea how this company has remained in business. They truly are the worst.

Came home one Friday evening at the start of our vacation and also expecting company from out of town for a week… found out we had no cable TV, no phone service and no internet service… so that means also no ADT security/​fire coverage! No option on phone for no service at all… so chose to speak with TV cable person. CService person wanted to go thru the options to try to fix the problem by sending a signal, shut off and turn on, etc. etc… you know what they have you go thru… we told her it was more that just sending a new signal as we had NOTHING… Her response was that she showed on her end that we had phone service. (like we didn’t know our phone was not working) Said the best they could do was send someone out on Tuesday afternoon! After many phone calls and pleading — tech came out Monday afternoon. on Saturday (before tech came out… we found out ourselves that our service was cut at the pole behind our home to connect another home to Comcast!!! Called Comcast again with this new information and found out that because this was a «trouble call» a tech would be out in approximately 4 weeks??? Are you kidding me? Kept our original appointment for Monday — tech was there 5 minutes… showed him the cut line… he reconnected it and immediately all service was restored. Why couldn’t this be done Friday night or Saturday morning??? Ok so now we want someone to acknowledge that we went thru all this because one of their techs was too lazy to run a new wire and cut ours instead… after about 10 calls… got no where. No one is responsible and no one takes responsibility. Are looking into other options for cable tv, phone, and internet… If there was a «0» I would have chosen it.

Comcast is The single worst customer service company on the planet. We make the mistake of using them for our business phone service. They ran into a problem upgrading our service and we were left with no phone service for ten days. They could only resolve the problem by forwarding calls to a Verizon phone. I was thinking we just happened to be one of the few recipients of inept service, but after talking with other businessmen and their own technicians these types of problems are common place for Comcast. Once we get are immediate service repaired, we are switching to some other, almost ANY other phone carrier.

There should be an option to select zero stars, Comcast is by far the worst cable company I have ever dealt with. When I moved to Sarasota, I saw they had special advertised on their web site for internet service for $ 19.99, when I called to order that package, I was told it was no longer available, they said the lowest rate I could get for internet service was $ 29.99 a month, they did not tell me that they tack on another $ 10.00 per month for «modem rental», so after this fee and that fee and taxes I ended up paying $ 42.00 a month just for internet! The Condo association where I live has provided us with free basic cable, however that comes to an end tomorrow, I called Comcast to see what sort of package I could get, the prices are just ridiculous! They advertise a package of internet, home phone, and cable with 145 channels for 79.99, however when I called they said that is only for new customers, not existing ones. The best deal they could give me is BASIC cable, not high def, 35 channels plus my internet for $ 89.00 per month. For me to keep exactly what I have right now it would have been $ 120.00 a month. I told them I can’t afford that and I have decided to go without cable tv, I have a Roku and the internet. I really don’t want tot pay them for internet anymore either because frankly $ 42. a month is way too high just for internet. I am going to research and see if I can find another way to get internet, so that I don’t have to give one cent to comcast at all.

Lee (Operator 2DT 0) at your Fruitville Rd Sarasota FL office should be fired. A waiting room full of people with numbers & he opens up a station & calls for «anyone with returns». Two people run over there in front of me & he takes them. I’d been waiting 20 minutes & had #72. They had #74 and #79. He ignored my waving ticket & helped #74. Then he told #79 to step up to the counter. Before she could take a step, I said hellooooooo, do you see my number? He looked at my ticket & said oh, sorry about that… and then he took #79 anyway!
When I was finally allowed up to counter he asked why I was cancelling my service. I said because of poor service like you just exhibited. He snickered & said «Oh really? That’s interesting, I’ll be sure to note that» in a very sarcastic tone. There was a male manager standing there who witnessed the entire exchange yet said/​did nothing.
Employees like Lee are exactly why your company was voted Worst Customer Service in the country. Shame on him & shame on his superiors for allowing his behavior.

After much struggle, one week ago today Commiecast gave me a pie… today they punched me in the face and took it away. They also threw sand in my eyes and kicked me when I was on the ground. Let me explain…
Last time they gave me a cablecard, I activated it and had some digital HD promo for one year — not bad for $ 19.99 Monthly — this weekend I started getting calls from comcast outbound tech support (legit though sounds like a scam right?)
The third call (today 11−10−14) they finally got me. The asked if I need a tech to install my product — I informed them I picked up a cablecard last monday and have it activated and working and I don’t need a tech for anything. Half an hour later my cablecard is canceled and the TV shows «Subscription Required». Gee, THANKS COMCAST.
After spending an hour on the phone (asked to call three different numbers)
#1 outbound tech
#2 The department that handles signal issues
#3 Tech support
#4 Customer Retention (they read my mind that I was unhappy)
I explain for the fourth time that I was told that the local office didn’t «close out» my order (see pic of douchenozzle) — yea same guy that gave me the throat cutting motion was the one that gave me the cablecard.
Anyway they cut me off after I told them there was no problem and not to touch anything. The lady tells me There was no such package with HD for 9.99 and that I need to pay and extra $ 10 HD fee… W T F. I explain I had it for a week — she denies it and asks if I have an invoice showing it — I tell her I just got the service last week but I do have several recorded HD programs, Even from yesterday.
Anyway, best she can do is wash out for 6 months with a $ 10 Credit — WTF… oh yea and I have to now pay $ 1.50 for my cablecard — ahhhh comcast have you read your own website? As far as I understand I am supposed to get a credit for my «customer owned equipment»

This place is definitely the bottom of the barrel. I dread coming back here knowing that I have to deal with Comcast. They are living in the dark ages. they call their internet Blast and that is a joke! its like the olden days when you have to wait for your picture to load on the screen,
They are impossible to deal with, they will not give you any special pricing and they take full advatage of their customers because they have the monopoly on the area.
FIOS is moving into the area but in random areas. Believe me As soon as I can get FIOS here I will. The girl in the office gave me a package when i told her there will be kids in the house and when i got home and looked at it, there were no kids channels.
I chatted with agents 4 times in one week. They shut off alot of my channels and would not adjust my price. I paid $ 84 for basic limited cable and internet.
Back home in MA i have triple bundle with FIOS for $ 70.phone, tv and internet and the speed of FIOS makes Comcast look like a joke!
This is a nightmare of a company to deal with and the sad part is… they don’t care!

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! 21 people waiting, only 3 service reps. Only here b/​c I have called over and over with no resolution.

We just swith service from Windstream to comcast. The sales rep. just simply lie to us, we sign contract for $ 266 a month and been told it will be our bill, but wait… it only basic line, we need to add 800#, well, when sales ask us to see bill poreviose company she told we can save a lot money, she was be able to our #800, she just simply lie… it don’t even make sence to swith it same price…
LIE, LIE, LIE, and now I have to stay with company who lie from beginning for a next 2 years
