I Kayak Sarasota

Awesome time! The mangroves are beautiful. No doubt a different view of Sarasota. I would recommend to anyone. Thanks guys.

$ 45 for a 4 hour paddle board rental. the guys that work the trailer were very nice and did a great job explaining the do’s and do not’s to us first time paddle boarders. the views are stunning and the potential to see some cool wildlife is definitely there. can not wait to do this again.

Mark, our guide, was wonderful. He was very informative and had a dry sense of humor. We got to touch a sea urchin and a sea sponge. These black birds kept swimming and diving near us.
The weather was beautiful. A nice breeze made me feel relaxed. Tip: don’t rent a Tandem canoe if you are inexperienced. We kept going in circles! We really struggled in the mangroves but it was fun. Near the end, Mark tied our canoe to his to help us get back in time for the next group. It gave our weary arms a rest.
We saw spider crabs and egrets in the mangroves.

I Kayak is such an awesome company. I’ve been coming to Sarasota for over 10 years and this trip we decided to go kayaking (something I’ve not done in Sarasota before). I looked up many companies and I Kayak had the best reviews (for a reason!) I was able to easily book online the night before, my kayaks were ready for me ahead of my reservation, and both the owner and his employee were extremely helpful and accommodating! The South Lido location provided access to the beautiful mangrove tunnels, private beaches, and open access to all the bay has to offer. I would highly recommend this company!

had the morning tour with my friend. We had texted the # in their website the night before and they were able to book us for the next day! I think its nice that u can email and text and get a respond that quick. Our tour guy was chris he was nice and informative. This tour does get you tired but deff a good work out! sad we didnt get to see any animals :(

AMAZING! We had such a wonderful experience with I Kayak Sarasota! We didn’t want the day to end. The price was great for all your equipment and the staff was very friendly and knowledgable! It is a must do if you are visiting Sarasota!

Did a kayak tour today and Tara was our tour guide. We had a wonderful time and she was very knowledgable. The pace was great, not too fast. The friend that took me had done a tour with I kayak.

This is a great time. Owned by Sarasota native Bob and is wife. Great people who care about their customers.

My wife and I came out thinking it was a business store of some type, only to turn out there were multiple company vehicles with trailers and many kayaks and paddle boards to choose from. We met up with a gentleman (sorry, I forgot his name) and he told us that we didn’t need reservations for a tandem. He said if we wait a few more minutes, Dustin will kick off the tour.
Everyone was easy going and Dustin really knew his stuff. My wife and I had a great time touring the mangroves, seeing some sea urchins, birds fishing under our kayak, and a bunch of crabs that looked similar to spiders. Dustin, a U.S. Marine Vet, had a great sense of humor. The next time we’re in Sarasota for Kayaking, we’re definitely coming back and asking Dustin again for another tour.

My boyfriend and I bought a deal for ikayak sarasota and made a reservation for ⁴⁄₂₁. The day before, I checked the weather, and it was supposed to be storming. I called them and asked if the tour will still be on. He told me that he would call me back three hours before the scheduled tour the day of .
That day, there was no call. We called them and they never answered. I sent them a couple of emails and called and left messages. Still nothing.
I don’t think it’s very fair that our Groupon* cannot be redeemed, and at this point, I do not want to reschedule due to their poor customer service.
*Update from April 30: It was a livingsocial deal. Not Groupon. Regardless, awful customer service. Now the owner is claiming that my review is spam. If you direct your attention to the pictures posted, I posted my boyfriend’s voucher. (I deleted mine). They did not address my complaints and now claim my review is spam. I Kayak not only has poor customer service, but poor business practices.

I made a reservation 1 week prior for a sunset kayak tour. I was on vacation and made arrangements for a ride there which was 35 minutes from where I was staying. I called to confirm the tour 10 minutes prior to the start time with no answer. When I arrived, the company was no where to be found. It was very disappointing and discourteous. I will never use or recommend this company.
