History

Established in 1963.

McDougall Locksmith was opened in 1963 by «Mac» McDougall on the corner of Stickney point and US 41, shortly after opening he partnered with AAA. Upon his retirement, his son Fred McDougall took over the family business and has worked hard to maintain and or supersed what his father had started so many years ago. Which he succeded at by securing contracts with numerous companies in and around Sarasota. Fred has been employing and training his son in law, Shawn Wilson, for over 15 years, who is now Vice President of McDougall Locksmith. Now that Fred is reaching retirement age, it is again that time for this family business to again be handed down to the next generation. Shawn is also hoping to maintain what Fred has worked so hard to reach. He also hopes to expand the business with marketing with sites like these, with the world at our finger tips, the sky’s the limit!

Shawn has been working for Fred at McDougall Locksmith for over 15 years! He spent many years in the automotive department, and has also been in residential and commercial accounts for the last 5 years. Shawn will be taking over McDougall Locksmith for Fred, his father in law. Just like Fred did for his father!
