Experiencing my first root canal, I was very nervous and panicked. Dr. Nguyen made this procedure easier allowing me to calm down. Her professionalism and customer care is excellent. I recommend her for all of your dental care.

Update: my back molar finally bit the bullet and I went for root canal number two only a month later. I visited Dr. Nguyen at her Mountain View location 100 W El Camino Real #67. At this location all the chair were equipped with a gentle massage feature. I nearly fell asleep during the procedure and felt nothing but the first shots. As always Dr. Nguyen was fantastic. I am a tooth grinder so I will likely need more future procedures, she will always be my first choice for an endodontist!
I was terrified of the prospect of having a root canal. My back molar had been having issues on and off for a year, but never enough for me to warrant a trip to the dentist. Within a week of moving to the area my molar began to act up and the dentist I saw referred me to Dr. Nguyen.
Within a few minutes she determined that a root canal was necessary on my tooth. The procedure was performed in 40 minutes, the only mild discomfort I felt was from the shots. During the procedure I barely felt I thing.
The doctor knew how nervous I was yet was able to relax me a bit more and finish the procedure quickly. I only needed to take Tylenol a day or two after the procedure.
I will likely need another molar checked out this week, as it is showing the same root canal signs as my last one. Are root canals fun? No. But I trust Dr. Nguyen to be the one to do it right, quickly, and with no complications.

Dr. Nguyen is nice, calming, and fast. As I was referred here from my main dentist, I was able to get an appointment within 4 days.
A root canal visit isn’t relaxing, but being that this is my first one, I wouldn’t say it’s the worst pain my mouth has been in at the dentist. The build up to actually getting it done is by far the worst. The numbing shot is the worst part. I was out of there in 45 min. The office is clean and professional looking.
As much as I liked Dr. Nguyen, I hope this was my first and last visit, but if ever I am in need of a Specialist outside of my main Dentist, I will definitely be coming back to Dr. Nguyen.

Ah, root canals. Dr. Nguyen made me a believer that root canals are not quite as scary or time consuming as my fears told me. Her staff and her professionalism were great. Clean, kind, skilled, communicative. If I ever have to do this again, I would seriously come back. My dentist referred me and said this is where he sent his wife to get her root canal. I liked that she told me that one Novocaine would pinch for about 2 seconds and she was right. That was it :). They called me the next day to see if I was okay too. It takes awhile to find someone that you trust or feel confident enough to have this type of work done — she definitely gained mine.

I love Dr. Rosette Nguyen and her entire staff! They are very accommodating, professional, sweet and their office is immaculately clean and gorgeous. I am the office manager for Dr. Mostashiri and we send so many patients to Dr. Nguyen and the patients come back extremely satisfied and boast about how great of an experience they’ve had there including my Boss herself with a RCT procedure. Dr. Nguyen and her staff has stayed late hours, drove back to the office on the way home and they will bend their backs as much as possible to take care of anyone in need.

I was referred to Dr. Nguyen to get a root canal. My experience was a pleasant as a root canal experience could be. I was in and out, really quick. She is professional and efficient at what she does. Not hoping for another root canal, but would be back if I had to.

Unfortunately, I’ve had the chance to be a repeat patient of Dr. Nguyen. Getting dental work is definitely stressful, but this place calms me down a bit. I always have a choice of specialists to see from my regular dentist, andI have come back to Dr. Nguyen because I trust her and she is able to do root canals in one session (some endodontists do them in multiple sessions, I have found). Since the first one I had done, I ask for extra numbing cream now, and I barely feel the injections anymore. I love, love, love the staff here, which I do not say very freely in many of my Unilocal reviews. They are always so nice, helpful, accomodating, and professional. They work with your insurance here, and offer a payment plan for whatever is not covered (and, let’s face it, for most of us these days, dental work is expensive, even with insurance). I wish all medical and dental staff could be this awesome.

Okay, let me first preface this by saying I hope no one ever needs to get a root canal. But if you do, Dr. Rosette Nguyen is a good endodontist to visit. I’ve been nursing a deep cavity for the last year or so, but it started giving me a lot of pain in the last few weeks. I stopped by my regular dentist, Dr. V. Miles Lew, and he promptly recommended me to Dr. Nguyen because it was a more complex procedure involving multiple nerves. I appreciated that he didn’t want to mess with something complicated and referred me to the expert. His office called around and was able to get me an appointment with Dr. Nguyen for the same day just a few hours later!
The office is located in a 70s style structure, but the inside has obviously been remodeled to be bright and comfortable and modern. Her staff were friendly and polite and set me at ease, considering the fact that I don’t currently have insurance. I didn’t have to wait at all before the doctor was ready to see me.
Dr. Nguyen, while seemingly a bit stiff at first, is actually a super nice and friendly lady. I especially appreciated the fact that she tried to set me at ease by telling me when to expect the pain from the procedure, telling me when I’d feel a bit of pain or a pinch. She’s also really good about looking for signs of discomfort, so don’t be afraid to let her know if something is bothering you. She actually gave me an extra shot of the painkiller when she started drilling and noticed me flinching. All in all, my procedure took about 45 minutes for my #3 molar on the upper right side. It feels okay for now, but I was warned upon leaving that I should take some pain killers before the injection wears off. Afterwards, her receptionist sent me off with some Tylenol as well the information that they’ll likely give me a call tomorrow to check up on me.
Highly recommended if you ever have to get a root canal done. And really, it’s about as bad as getting a cavity filled, if a bit longer. So don’t be afraid!

Dr. Nguyen is tops! She got me in on short notice when I was in terrible pain, and did the root canal in the most efficient and painless possible way. Sitting in a dentist chair is never fun, but I can honestly say I’ve never been more relaxed because of her skills and professionalism. The fact she went out of her way to take me on short notice saved me a lot of suffering and that’s huge. She’s also an assistant professor in her field, so you know you’re getting the best of the best!
I hope I don’t have to have a root canal again, but if I do Dr. Nguyen is where I’m headed.

I’ve had to do a few root canals over the past 2 years (I attribute it to way too much coffee @ work). I must say, Dr. Nguyen makes root canals tolerable.
I was a bit worried before my first one as I don’t think I read anything positive about the whole root canal experience. I was seen w/​in 5 minutes of my appointment time, and after the initial xrays, she applies the local anesthesia liberally (might have to ask for more depending on your tolerance to pain /​sensitivity). After the numbness set in, each root canal procedure was a piece of cake. For smaller teeth, the entire procedure takes less than an hour. I just recently got a lower molar done which took two hours. I have a good point of reference since my dentist tried to do this root canal, but she wasn’t able to clean out the entire nerve root so I had to see the specialist. Dr. Nguyen spent a lot of time w/​a lot of attention to detail and did a wonderful job.

Dr Nguyen and her office staff treated me very professionally. I have been to five doctors in the dental field in the last year and Dr. Nguyen is the ONLY experience that did not leave me angry and disillusioned with the dental field. Her staff is very nice, her offices spotless, they fitted me in quickly, almost no pain and as far as I know, it was done right. The charges were in line with what the insurance company told me I should expect. I needed no pain medication afterward and they called to check on me the next day. I highly recommend her an wish I could find a regular dentist of the same caliber.

Dr. Nguyen is great! Her staff is great as well!!! They fit me in for an emergency root canal and they did a fantastic job and they were all very friendly and extremely helpful!!!

went in for a root canal procedure
1) fail to find out how many root i actually have. just assume i have two from glancing at the x-​ray (at least I hope she can properly read x-​ray) instead what i actually have.3
2) tooth was crack/​fracture from forcefully inserting the robber filament. end up having to get my tooth extracted. (causing a vertical crack from the end)
3) lack of understanding in method of detecting teeth issue. does not even perform basic pocket depth check when in doubt of fracture
4) doesn’t provide followup check procedure as order endo doctor
office and environment is pretty, but please don’t get fool by it.
she totally lack of the experience and professionalism to be a doctor

I recommend Dr. Nguyen hands down. When my regular dentist indicated that I needed a root canal, he gave me a list of endodontists that were approved by my insurance. I researched all of them, and Dr. Nguyen was the only one with positive reviews. I called her office and spoke with one of her friendly staff members. Since I called on a Friday afternoon, the soonest available appointment was Monday. However, the staff person gave me an after hours number and stressed that I needed to call should the pain become unbearable.
On Monday, I walked into a clean, soothing office, and was promptly prepped for the root canal. Dr. Nguyen explained the procedure, answered my questions, then quickly numbed the area around the affected tooth. She was very thorough, took several x-​rays to ensure that the canals were clean before she sealed them.
Her assistant gave me some ibuprofen and water along with information detailing post-​treatment care. Her assistant also called me the next day to check my progress. If I ever need another root canal, Dr. Nguyen would be my first choice.

i’m a repeat customer, and if your dentist hasn’t referred you to Dr Ngyuen, they should. she’s very professional and thorough, and does as much as she can to make the experience pain free– a nice gentle technique to what can be a brutal procedure.

Dr. Nguyen is an Endodontics specialist, meaning she does root canals.
I had a sudden toothache on a Wed afternoon that got worse overnight. My fiancée called my regular dentist and had no luck getting me in (to read about that saga:
). After checking Unilocal she got a referral from the highly regarded Dr. Ho. (
) for Dr Nguyen.
Dr Nguyen’s office is clean, pleasant, and staffed with nice people. They got me in for my work on less than 24 hours notice. My appointment started on time. Before we started the exam, Dr Nguyen explained everything she’d have to do and about how much my insurance would cover.
Before she poked me with any needles she told me how much discomfort to expect. There were a few pinches and stings, but nothing worse than a filling.
She also has some cool high tech x-​ray devices that put out a picture instantly on her PC screen.
I was out of there with a fist full of drugs, and an instruction sheet and very little pain.
She even called me on Sunday to make sure I was doing OK!
