Business Owner

John Tang, MD is the Medical Director and owner of Rejuvé. He is a Board Certified physician, who received his training at Stanford University in PMR and Internal Medicine. His 6 years of training after medical school and his long pursuit of knowledge in cosmetics and anti-​aging allows Dr. Tang to combine the complex theories and understanding of «youth» — both internal and external — into clinic practice. With in-​depth training in pain management, Dr. Tang has hands on experience with needles, injecting medicine in the joints and muscles makes Dr. Tang highly skilled when he does injectables such as Restylane, Juvederm, or Radiesse. As a resident, he did several rotations in dermatology advancing his knowledge in general dermatology and dermatological procedures such as botox, fillers, and lasers. His background in internal medicine also allows Dr. Tang to understand the complex interworkings of the body — how hormones, nutrition, and exercise affect the body, aging, and skin.

Dr. Tang provides very honest feedback and cares about his customer’s experience. I didn’t feel pressured, nor did I feel like I was being upsold. He stayed hours after closing to listen attentively to my concerns. Once i left a feedback and questions on the website, Dr. Tang called me back personally the next day.
The spa is well tended and the staff is friendly. Water and tea provided during the wait.

My sister and I went to this place last year. We are both impressed with the results.
Dr. Tang is more knowledgeable in fillers than all the other places I had previously gone. I must admit I was a bit worried after three days of pain but once it healed I could not tell there was any foreign fill in my cheeks. It was smooth and quite natural. I plan on going back there sooner than later. The office is clean too and the staff professional.

I bought a Groupon for 2 cc of Restylane because I have noticed that I needed something to help me look fresher, but my main concern was a small dent in between my eyebrows so I thought that Restylane might help with that. When I first arrived I noticed how clean and organized Rejuve is and how polite the staff is there. Alexandra who is the nurse there was the one who assisted me. Alexandra was very friendly, nice and she really listened to what I wanted to have done. Alexandra let me know that since I had purchased 2cc of Restylane I had enough to put some on other areas which I did. After minor swelling disappeared I did notice some improvement, unfortunately not as much as I had hoped for, but I feel that over all it did help.

The prices are reasonable, the facility is relatively clean, but my low star review is for the useless service itself, and a bit of a knock on the doctor, who is nice, but who I think can improve his communication in a few areas. I went in to reduce the appearance of the stretch marks on my abdomen. The doctor warned me that there would be «some redness», when in reality the results are as if you are being burned/​cut by a derma roller. I literally had thousands of pin-​point cuts/​burns all over my abdomen. If this is the result of the machine, fine, but I expected a proper warning. This is important because after 2 treatments I am left with 0% improvement, and now instead of just stretch marks all over my abdomen, I also have scars left behind from the derma roller-​like laser tool. I was warned about hyper pigmentation (which didn’t happen), but never that the tool itself would scar me. Needless to say, I wasn’t expecting perfection, I understand 100% that stretch marks cannot be removed, and only improved, but I am left worse off than I arrived. After the doctor performed his procedure, he then told me he’d be putting some lotion on me that has been shown to improve the appearance of stretch marks, and to soothe my skin after the use of the laser. As I see him opening up a new box without ever asking if I wanted to purchase it, I ask how much it is – $ 80. For lotion? You need to be explicit in saying that you expect me to purchase it, and not present it as if it is some aloe complimentarily placed on me to soothe an area. I can’t comment on any of his other service offerings, but I would definitely not recommend anything around stretch mark appearance reduction, and I’d pay close attention to anything that is casually presented during your treatment that you may actually later find on your bill without your explicit request or consent.

Today was my third visit at Rejuve. I am especially impressed with my visit today which compelled me to write a review.
I’ve had two separate procedures with Dr Tang and have been equally impressed with both. He is a very calm, informative, and gentle doctor. I’ve had similar procedures at other offices which resulted in a higher expense with less esthetic result. Dr. Tang truly has an artistic eye with a gentle touch. He listens to my concerns, provides honest input, and recommends treatment accordingly.
My impression is Dr. Tang’s philosophy is health from the inside which results in beauty on the outside. I’ve been struggling with adult acne for years and recently consulted with a couple dermatologists. I’ve discussed it with Dr. Tang and his opinion and approach are very enlightening. I’ve decided to continue on the current treatment the dermatologist prescribed since I just started 4 weeks ago. However, I plan on trying Dr Tang’s method if it doesn’t help.

Excellent for both cosmetic and wellness advice and treatment. Dr. Tang is amazing and I feel completely safe in his hands. He has a deep understanding of both western and allopathic medicine and is able to see the bigger picture and deal with the causes of the illness rather than just the symptoms. After receiving several diagnoses from Stanford I found that none of the medications were working and were actually making me sicker. Dr Tang prescribed diet and supplements that have put me on the path to wellness. Feeling so much better thanks to his genius and have the added bonus of looking better as well. Highest recommendation for both Dr. Tang and the Rejuve staff. Thank you!

I went there today for my second appointment of Sculptra. The first session went Ok so I went back for a follow up session.
The moment the wife assisted me for the second session trouble begins. First, she doesn’t smile and seems to be fake. While she was numbing me in my temple area inside the treatment room, I told her I wanted to be numbed in the laugh lines for I like that area to be treated by Sculptra. She said it cannot be injected there, because there are no muscles. I reasoned out that I did research and I saw the pamphlet outside the waiting room that Scupltra can be used in the smile lines or nasolabial folds. I told her I can get the pamphlet outside and she said I don’t need to! Anyway she went out the room and slammed the door.
Then few minutes later Dr Tang went inside the room, I told him I want to be treated in that area because it’s one of the problem area in my face, he seems to be angry maybe the wife told her something. I reasoned out what I read and he said he was trained by 2 world renowned Dr of Sculptra and it cannot be injected in the area I wanted. Really? What is the name of those 2 Doctors then? I will ask them.
Anyway If you don’t want my business fine, I can bring it to someone else. You don’t need to be defensive and argumentative. Be nice to customers. If I were him, I could have said to my patient. «I will do it but it won’t be guaranteed» But instead he argued that sculptra cannot be molded in that area. Hello I know that! I wanted in that area so collagen can be build.

P. S. Beware of the cc scam. Always check injections. I had Perlane used a month ago and Dr said injected me with 1.5 cc. I did not notice any difference at all. I asked him thats it. He said he miss calculated and 1.5 cc is not enough. For me seems like it’s just 2 drops. Gone after 1 week. I paid $ 600 that went to his wife pocket money shopping.

Dr. Tang is excellent. He explained everything to me thoroughly. I had restalyne under my eyes 2 weeks ago. It was puffy for about 3 days. After that– the the bags under my eyes disappeared! He was very conscientious about my aftercare too. I felt completely comfortable. He probably could have sold me other services but did not try– nor did he make any comments about other parts of my face that would have made me feel insecure (I had one other procedure which was Botox) by another MD about 6 months ago and felt very pressured by the MD to do more as she picked apart my face line-​by-​line. I highly recommend it recommend Dr. and Mrs. Tang, RN! Wonderful people with a great esthetic eye!

The office was very clean which is a biggie for me at any medical office. The staff was friendly and easy to talk to. Dr. Tang did an amazing job! He listened to what I wanted and gave me his input during the consultation which was appreciated. He had a very gentle touch and did a magnificent job! I was and still am so happy and would definitely recommend him.

Dr. Tang is an amazing doctor. I have been treated by him for over 3 years.
Recently I mentioned by hip pain and sure enough he took care of it with cortisone.
I am so happy. I can walk without pain again.

Dr Tang is excellent. Very professional, highly skilled and great patient interaction. He performed perlane injections for deep lines under my eyes. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Tang he is exceptional and delivers exceptional results.
Details follow:
I’d had restylane done years before in San Francisco by a different doctor who completely botched it so I was reluctant to try again. Nevertheless I did my research and found Dr. Tang to be exceptional across the board.
Before and after.
Before: deep lines that made me look older and tired due to genetics. Plus I had unevenness on one side caused by the previous guy. I have no animosity towards the last fellow but the bump he created had irritated me for years. I shared with him that I was a bit apprehensive due to the previous experience and that this would make me ask more questions than likely the average patient would. He was very understanding and provided me with as much information as I needed.
After: Dr. Tang used two syringes of perlane. The day I left I looked much better than I went in. I had a very tiny bit of soreness some hours later that evening, some Advil and it was gone. The next day I had a little puffiness barely noticeable and some soreness but honestly it wasn’t much and was totally worth it. I did have a little bruising on one side the following morning but that was 100% due to me involuntarily jerking my head several times when he started. He was very kind and warned me when I did that that there was a risk of bruising if I did that. The needle didn’t hurt much but I’m particularly sensitive to my face being touched at all. Once I knew what it felt like I could easily control the reaction and thus had zero bruising on the opposite side. That said other than the slight bruising I’d caused myself I looked younger than I had in years. If you live in the Bay Area and are considering this procedure you cannot find a better physician than Dr. Tang.

Acne scars and sun spots — as i understand there is very limited options for dark skinned persons. Also the treatments results may not be promising nor does it come wo risks. Dr tang seemed uptight, seemed in a hurry and somehow was not a pleasant experience. He never mentioned safety precautions like using sunscreen, time of usage of that hydroquinone prescription strength pads becez i had lots of doubts eg can i wash face post these pads, can i use in morning or nite, any side effects like peeling and what to use to counteract tht etc so i had to google and find all these myself .it made me leave feeling tho technology has improved its only for fair skinned people. No hopes for deep seated acne scars

This place is awesome!!! Dr. Tang and Alexandra Tang are amazing. Have you ever heard of a spa that can offer a diet that you can lose a pound a day. I didn’t think it was possible. I needed to lose 15lbs. It’s so hard to lose the last 10 – 15. I tried the hcg diet at rejuve. Dr. Tang explained it so well. When he told me what I would need to eat I got nervous. He explained I wouldn’t be hungry if I gorged. When I told my husband I would be going on a very low calorie diet he said great your gonna be fun to live with. I figured it was just three weeks who cares what my mood would be. After four days to my surprise my husband said this diet is amazing you need to stay on it. You have not been this nice to me in 10 years. Apparently the hcg regulated your hormones and balances you out. At 35 I didn’t think I was that imbalanced. For years I have been on and off yo yo diets. It is so hard for me to lose weight. I lost 15 lbs in 3 weeks. And two more on maintenance. I feel awesome. The diet has no room to cheat but for three weeks I could do anything. I was so successful my sister went on it. She lost 70lbs in 4 ½ months. I love rejuve.

I saw wannabe «doctor» Tang yesterday and all he wanted to sell me what some useless cream that only works «a little bit» lol waste of time. I had to educate him on stretch marks. Why do I have to educate a doctor? Doesn’t make any sense. Keep your money and go with a REAL professional

Not a great experience. Dr. Tang seems very nice and knowledgeable. But I had complications from Restylane. He did not take before pics, but I did.
First, he treated under my eyes. I have done this before. I know you need ice and arnica to avoid bruising. None was offered. I did ask. Bruised quite a bit more than before.
After the dust settled, it was very uneven. I regretted treating that area. Came back, he did a corrective treatment gratis. I am not sure where this went more wrong. But it really did. I got ice. I scolded him for not offering it the first time. He said most people don’t bruise, which is not true, most people do bruise under the eye. I iced it a ton, and about 6 hours later under my eyes started swelling to the point it was affecting my vision. The next day my eyes were more swollen. i looked like I had been in a fight. Bruised, swollen slits.
Now, I don’t know why. It could be a few reasons. He suspects I have an allergic reaction. I have never had one before and I have done this treatment before. But anything is possible. He suggests that they might have changed the product formula as he has seen this before. Possible. Or he might not be using actual Restylane and some off-​brand which created a reaction. Also possible. It could be from the method he used to poke around the eye. Maybe he poked the wrong thing, or maybe he went the wrong direction. Maybe it was his technique and not the product. Another possibility. It is hard to say. I don’t have an answer.
I can say he said many things that sounded informed and a few things I knew were not, like «most people don’t bruise.» He suggested an allergy test that insurance doesn’t cover. When I looked it up it is not recognized as legit. But you know, that doesn’t mean it isn’t. I don’t fully trust FDA. It could be a real insightful and helpful test. I don’t know. But it would be a gamble. Another thing he said was that if I had a laser treatment like Clear + Brilliant right after injections it wouldn’t affect them, but research shows there is a strong possibility the effects would diminish. He said you can do botox and restylane in the same area at the same time, I am not sure about that one as I don’t know.
I am bummed I look like elephant man instead of a super model. I am hoping once the swelling goes down it would look even at least. I don’t think he is honest.

How do you thank someone who restored the quality of your life, delivered you from chronic pain, suffering and symptoms so debilitating, that it made simple everyday tasks a daunting effort and the idea of getting a restful nights sleep only a remote possibility?
This letter is written with sincere gratitude and appreciation to Dr. John Tang and the professional and caring staff at Rejuve’.
I was seen by over six doctors and specialists in the area of Dermatology and Internal Medicine for a serious and chronic skin condition which affected my hands. The complexity and severity of the symptoms not only made diagnosis difficult, but the course of treatments (topical creams, ointments and steroid shots) provided only short-​term relief at best and more often, none at all. The symptoms: redness, numbing, pain, pins-​and-​needles sensation as well as severe peeling of the skin, subsequently resulted in a heightened sensitivity to heat, cold and pressure. Over the course of a year and a half as the symptoms worsened, it not only affected me physically, but took its toll on me mentally and emotionally. My hopes were almost dashed…
Enters Dr. John Tang with an impressive list of credentials and experience in Internal Medicine, Physical Medicine, Rehabilitation and Dermatology. (Yes, I did my homework.) Dr. Tang thoughtfully listened as I shared the circumstances which brought me to his office. He reviewed my medical history, and after a thorough work up, put me on a strict health regimen, which not only addressed the symptoms of my condition, but the «cause». Dr. Tang and the team at Rejuve’ not only supported me through the challenges of the healing process, but today continue to maintain the standards of quality and excellence in their work as well as patient care.

I was greeted by a friendly & knowledgeable staff.
Dr Tang took his time in thoroughly explaining in detail the procedure before starting. Answered all questions & did a thorough & great job. I will definitely be back.

Just wanted to share my experience. I met with Dr. Tang because I have difficulty sleeping and wanted to explore sleeping without taking any medications. My insurance covered my first visit, so I only had to pay a $ 30 copay. My follow up visit, which was to analyze a blood test I had taken was a different story. When I went to check out my bill was over $ 650! Shocked, I asked why and it was because the office visit was $ 400 and the remaining was supplements I was getting and they didn’t want to bill my insurance for the visit. I was told they considered the visit to discuss hormone levels and they didn’t think insurance would pay for it. My intention was still the same, I went there for better sleep and this was a follow up from a blood test I had taken. I was confused and stressed, not realizing my insurance would not be used for this visit. I was not told about this. I got the diagnosis codes and called my insurance. They said the codes should be covered so after filing a claim and a few phone calls to them, they reimbursed me with $ 365 fortunately as a one time courtesy, but told me to be cautious moving forward with any other office visits, since they will probably not be run through insurance.
I think Dr. Tang is very knowledgeable in what he knows and what he discusses. I found his beliefs interesting. I learned a few things, which was good! If the office visits were covered, I would have continued to see him. I was recommended a lot of supplements. I stopped taking a few because I felt very tired, didn’t want to take too many supplements and also the cost was too high per month for me for all of them. The supplement I am taking for sleep, Serenity, seems to help a bit so I am still taking that right now. I am also taking amino acids in a powder form, which I seem to be getting results from, so I am continuing to take those too.

I’ve seen this place advertised on Groupon for a month or two. I had the day off, and at last minute– called to see when they had availability. To my luck, they had a recent cancellation, and I was put on calendar the same day. *heads up* the place is well hidden in the driveway area between the Starbucks, and the Dentist office. I had my appt. with Alexandra, who is absolutely stunning. She is a great model of any procedures– not overly exaggerated. I suffer from melasma, and she was VERY helpful with offering up information on the best course of treatment, without trying to push her own products. I’m a nurse myself, and all sterile techniques were used. Unlike one of the previous posts I read on here, I saw the products prior to use.
I really enjoyed my experience, and will most def return! :)

I’ve gone to Dr. Tang for the last 3 months and have not been disappointed. I asked him about a procedure I wanted to get done, and he was honest about it and told me that procedure wouldn’t be right for me. He gives me a profession opinion for everything that i ask him about. I am very happy with results and will continue going here.

I never saw the patient chart not to mention the serial number. Dr only showed the box in front of me but opened it in my back!
I had a similar procedure redone few months later. And 2CC goes to undereye, cheek and a bit temple. That’s a normal amount for my age.
Dr threw away the box and needle right after he finished, I never saw the volume but by the result, I can easily tell, it’s not 2CC otherwise he can clearly show everything in front of me like most of the dr will do.
My name in you list is not Qing, as no one can pronounce it, but I don’t want you to trace all the way to my data (address and phone etc.) but just want to warn coming patients.

It’s hard for me to write this review because I did feel like Dr. Tang did his best to help and the service was always really friendly, but I stopped going to Rejuve about a year ago now because I started having pigmentation around the area of my tattoo. Dr. Tang gave me some cream to use on it, but I didn’t see any fading of the pigmentation and it made that area have some allergic reactions (my skin would randomly get itchy and get bumps). I also noticed that there are minor keloids and scarring on the tattoo. I went in for TEN treatments.
Today I went in for a facial at another spa and I told my aesthetician about my problem. She was shocked and said she went in for laser tattoo treatments that removed the tattoo in four treatments, and hers were darker than mine. She also said that the doctor I went to did it wrong and burned my skin. After doing so many treatments, of course you would get pigmentation. I called the doctor’s office that she went to and the receptionist was shocked as well, as she said black ink was the easiest to remove. Maybe some people have had good results from the tattoo laser treatment here, but from my experience, don’t go here. My tattoos are now still there after a year of painful treatments, have scars, and damage that could have been avoided.
Plus, my wedding is in two months… how I wish these could have been removed by now!
