This store is closing after 5 years(??) the shelf is very much empty… this is my go to store for crafts, trash/freezer/sandwich bags, nick nacks for gag gifts, overall anything you want for a buck! Oh well, it’ll be missed!

I was in the store yesterday. Lots of empty shelves and clutter. The cashier said they are closing the store.

Customer service was completely unacceptable. My children, who are very well behaved, were yelled at by two clerks. My daughter reached up to touch a feather boa. An employee yelled(raised voice) from over 20 get away. I’m strict with my kids, specially in stores. It is NOT acceptable to yell at a customer’s child. Never. We left the basket and walked out. Never coming here ever again.

Why does this store always look like a dump now? It used to be so clean and organized now the shelves are bare, there is stuff scattered everywhere and it is just plain messy. Why?

I called before I came to your store asking for a particular item. You said you had this item. I get there and it is not there. Take the time to answer your customers questions honestly Dollar Tree. Waste of time.

There is a peculiar draw that many people experience when they enter«near dollar store orbit.» A bit of attraction-repulsion the ying with the yang. Ultimately everyone surrenders. It winks, it whistles, it catcalls occasionally. «Hey you over there! Yeah the guy pretending not to hear. Walk on over. Don’t be shy now!» And so it goes. I have come to this place in search of a tooth brush and walked away with a couple of cans of corn, Christmas cards, wrapping paper, paper plates, plastic forks, and birthday hats. There are brands and(mostly) off-brands I never knew existed in all of creation. I have not had the«Dollar Steak» although I hear it might be on the next«Bizarre Foods America.» Or it should be. Only fools think they can resist this place. Like love it lurks, then leaps and gives you a big kiss with bright red lipstick that you walk around with on your cheek for the rest of the day. Plus the people watching is top notch. Mill Valley ladies with regulation boots and tights, Tiburon matriarchs with giant bouffants, Sausalito sailors creeping off rickety house boats and Marin City residents of all stripes.

Its amazing what you can buy for a dollar. But I guess it does depends on personal preference, I am a health Freak and Dollar Tree sells nothing but candy, toes, home supplies and junk food. It was fun to visit one time, but I dont think its everyday to go place.

I know, right. 4 stars for a Dollar Tree. But I love this place! This is the best one in Marin. I always come here because the parking is WAY better, and safer, than the shit show in San Rafael, where you park in that tiny little gravel parking lot with the quick turn onto the freeway. Sheesh… dangerous. This one has a huge parking lot, and there’s never anyone in there. I think because of the Marin City stigma, but Marin City has come up, people. Come on down and shop. The doors are open. I come here for all kinds of goodies– decorations for holidays for the house, I pick up random little things to help add to the wrapping of gifts. I love the little mugs and cups. You can get wonderful little candles, and I always come before a school report to stock up on paper, pens, huge posters, cardboard, etc. I always get my note cards from here. Give Marin City a chance.

My wife loves Dollar Tree, but I don’t. I bought about $ 30 worth of Balloons, plates and cups for a red themed party for our office, we didn’t use all the plates, I had the receipt, and they were not opened, still in the package. I took them back the next day, and they said«NOREFUNDS» I was fine with that, how about a store credit? … SORRY, «NOSTORECREDIT». I could exchange them for something else, well any ELEVENITEMSINTHESTORE I WANTED, the problem was, I didn’t want anything. The line got longer, the manager came over who suggested I keep the red plates, give them to my wife, and she could return them the next time she shopped. I switched them for 11 blue ball point pen packs, easier to carry, and will just need to hold onto them till we need cheap tissue, balloons, or my dad breaks his $ 1 reading glasses. WHAT A HASSLE!

What is there not to like about the dollar store? Ok… example of good… my BF is sick, he needs mucinex. Goes to Walgreens, pays 10 bucks for the stuff. I go to dollar tree today, see their off brand mucus relief brand… HA …same exact medicine, same dosage he bought and 1 $ Looked at the cough syrup… same medicine as big brands… same doses…1 $ It pays to read the labels of your stuff at home and then go see. So many great bargains. Got crazy glue in the individual little tubes. Like three in a pack. SO beats paying six and throwing it away when the darn thing drys up after one use. Party stuff… dont bother with Craigs or Party City… you will find it all at the dollar tree. Ps…The San Rafael store is great too!

There’s always something for the upcoming holiday here. It makes decorating the house with little ones super fun and easy. And I certainly don’t want to spend money on anything that my 1yr old or 3 yr. old will likely break. My 3 yr. old tot had a blast shopping for the family here at Christmas and since then I’ve used it as a «treat» for being well behaved… allowing him to pick out any three things … one for every year — not sure how long that will work?! I recently went to another Dollar Tree and was very impressed by the selection. It blew this one out of the water. So, although this place has amazing deals on cheap crap there are other DT’s around that have even more of a selection of cheap crap.

Was amazing at what I could get for a dollar here. Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate, Arizona Ice Tea, envelopes, Christmas wrapping paper, the list goes on and on… and on and on and on. Dollar stores are the best if you know the grocery store regular prices item is way more than one-dollar. Just be careful because you might get a little crazy with everything being a dollar that you might go into the store only wanted/needing one one-dollar item, and walk out with six or seven. You’ve been warned

You know me, The Discount Diva… wherever a deal is lurking, I’ll be there pinching some pennies til a quarter comes out the other side. I hope you don’t mind me snacking on some Stouffer’s Ginger Snaps while I write this review. A buck a bag and crispy fresh, it’s a good cookie for Unilocaling. Of course the milk I’m dipping them into cost $ 3.99, but you have to have SOME standards! I walked through the Dollar Tree doors, thinking, «I know I’m frugal, but can I REALLY be this incredibly cheap?» The answer? Ding, ding, ding… YES! Before you laugh at me, let me tell you some brand name items(some better than others) that I came across: Propel Sports Water Crystal Geyser Gatorade Hefty Zipper Lock Bags AirWick Air Freshner Colgate Toothbrushes Aquafresh Ajax Dishsoap Mead Envelopes White Rain Shampoo Tylenol It’s a drugstore, school & party supply, and mini-mart all rolled into one slightly messy Five and Dime. First, I snagged up all the recognizable labels that I trust. The rest of my purchases, however, qualified for a decent day at the $ 1 slots. Generics, knock-offs, off-brands – whatever you want to call it, the only people who have ever heard of these products are the people who make them. If you’re willing to gamble a little, you can save a lot of Washingtons! So here’s my last bit of advice: 1. If it has a top, make sure it’s on. 2. It it has sell by date, read it. 3. If it has a smell, take a whiff! 4. If you like 2 ply(don’t we all?), watch out for the thin stuff!

It’s A — OK and I am a fan of the Dollar Tree. Today I jumped off the bus when I saw the Dollar Tree. The store is just 2 months old. The shopping carts are clean and the carpet unstained. The Dollar Tree carries all of your regular favorites such as baggies and kitchen wigets, cards and plastic forks. There is something comforting about going to the dollar tree where the budget is stretched a little further during this ‘economic crisis’. Getting 10 items for $ 10 is a deal and what fun to poke around the farmiliar favorites. Go here and save some cash. Buy a few what-knots and let the mind rest.

You have to look hard to find this Dollar Tree. What is a Dollar tree? It”s a 5 to 6 thousand square foot general merchandise store where you can buy mouthwash, toothpaste, laundry soap, shampoo, lipstick, kitchen knives, and certain food items(no produce) each for a dollar. There are definitely good values to be had here, You can even get a bottle of wine here for a dollar. Greeting cards, calculators, scissors, party supplies, gift bags, toys, soda, cookies, etc. This is a huge fast growing chain that is replacing a lot of junky looking dollar stores that have proliferated. They don’t sell close outs and out of date items. You owe it to yourself to visit one of these stores and price comparing.
