History

Established in 2002.

Started informally in 1998 after Seann Xenja’s first Feng Shui teaching and consulting trip to Brazil.

In August, 2002, Seann visited crystal mines near Diamantina, Brazil, and was inspired to create a new business — Dynamic Energy Crystals — and it was an instant success.

First located in the ICB Artist Building in north Sausalito, the business soon outgrew the space and moved next to Avatar’s Restaurant on Bridgeway. Over the next few years Luz Elena and Daniel came to play key roles.

In March of 2011, we moved into our current, dream location at 21 Princess Street in downtown Sausalito. It’s an incredibly beautiful, magic place filled with wonder and delight.

In August of 2002, I was standing on top of a rugged sandstone rock formation at the legendary Cabo Saco Mines outside of Diamantina, Brazil, when the crystals first spoke to me. Not out loud, but as an inner vocal presence within my very surprised mind. They were saying clearly and distinctly, «Seann, see how good you feel? This is our crystal energy. We want you to connect us to other humans so they can experience this too. Bring them crystals, and whenever you can, bring them back with you so they can be with us.»

This was such a unique and powerful experience, that I started a business, Dynamic Energy Crystals, the very next day. I began by buying directly from the local miners and mining companies, and bringing crystals back to California. It’s truly been a gift to feel the land energy, know the people who work every day to bring the crystals out of the earth, and encourage them to do this with care and respect. I certainly couldn’t afford everything i wanted to here, this store is a gallery, spare and minimal and perfectly curated. absolutely phenomenal selection of items. We were here on a dark night that was pouring down rain, trying not to track mud inside, lights glittering on the water, and the store was cheerful and elegant and filled with exquisite rocks, gems and crystals. customer service was friendly but hands off. It seemed like the people staffing the place were maybe the children of the owner, who was on some rockhounding trip to Argentina or something. i had a moment of serious lifestyle envy, envisioning myself traveling the world rockhounding, finding the perfect items to stock my gorgeous little store in ridiculously idyllic Sausalito. Love this place.

Came across Dynamic Energy Crystals purely by chance and I had such an amazing experience. I felt like a kid in a candy store!
The shop itself was extremely inviting as was the woman who was behind the counter. Gigantic Amethyst Geodes and Quartz clusters are placed tastefully inside, surrounded by a wonderful selection of crystals and gems.
I left with a lovely Spirit Quartz and a huge smile on my face.

This is a BEAUTIFUL STORE. When I go, I see Courtney. She is simply amazing and is one of the reasons I visit this store. She takes her time to explain things to you and asks questions. Her authenticity is refreshing. I have taken several friends to see her. They feel the same.

I had been in this store in the past and the zen you receive just from walking around this store is something you never forget. So, when we came by the neighborhood to explore one afternoon, I made it a point to come back to this amazing little shop.
My mom is already very into crystals and energy frequencies. We are very spiritual people, so this store just gives a sense of «home.»
Walking around, the three of us looked at the several different kinds of stones. There are so many different, incredibly unique and symbolic in their own way stones to be discovered here. There are information cards available for you to take if a particular stone catches your eye or speaks to you. They also carry different editions of the Crystal Bible, which is a wonderful way to learn about different crystals. Definitely pick one of those up!
This store has crystals varying in size, shape, colors, and price, so you will find something here to take home– guaranteed. You don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars to walk out of there with a treasure. So just keep that in mind.

I’ve been here 3 times and have consistently walked out feeling calmer and more peaceful. This store is one of a kind. Crystal shops tend to have either a gem-​hunter kind of feel, and the focus is on the geological and aesthetic aspects of a stone. It’s a purely physical and shallow experience. To the other extreme, I’ve visited shops where there’s angels and auras and woo woo stuff that makes me run. Dynamic crystals just offers you a calm environment to discover and feel for yourself whether these crystals have any effect on you. They offer literature on each stone but I rather trust my own senses. I like how they allow you the space and time to experience, without pressure, to intuit whether you want or would benefit from being in touch with a stone.
I discovered selenite, which has a powerful cleansing effect on my system. I use it when I worry too much or when I can’t rest. It was nice when I shared this effect with Courtney that she confirmed that selenite is used to clean even other stones. This shop is beautiful, clean, and happy. The stones range from a few dollars to many. What else could one ask for?

What a beautiful store. It has amazing energy, and each time I have been there Luz Elena has greeted me with such enthusiasm and kindness. She even remembered me! I don’t think I’ve ever been in such an immaculate and meticulously cared for store. I also love the added touch of the laminated cards with information and education on each crystal displayed. I could spend hours in here (in fact, when my friends who were visiting from Texas came to check out the store with me, we DID spend a couple of hours in it). Luz Elena– you are so much fun. What a beautiful and special store filled with crystals, stones, jewelry, books, and all things healing. Seann the owner was extremely gracious, welcoming, and full of knowledge about the stones and crystals he offers. I felt such a calming, serene, and peaceful presence wash over me upon entering and knew right then I’d find what I was looking for. The clear quartz crystals called me over and were absolutely magnificent. Actually everything I saw was fantastic. Beautiful high quality crystals, knowledgeable staff and a serene ambiance. Dan was working the day we came in and he was delightful. He gave us all the information we needed and more. Bought a package of Lemurian seed crystals that day. Had a very positive experience. Catch them at the Crystal Fair in SF which happens several times a year. Cant wait to go back. I already miss the serene feeling that I get when Im inside the store.

I somehow wandered into this shop while cycling over GG on a recent trip in Cali. I have always had an interest in crystals and gems but had yet purchased any. I was immediately introduced to the owner and amazing photographer Luz Elena, who kindly charged my almost dead cell phone for me. I can not say enough kind things about Luz Elena and the time she spent giving me a beginners crash course on crystals. I have been through the loss of both my parents recently and have a sister dealing with radiation and chemo from breast cancer so she helped me select crystals to bring home for both my sister and me. She also recommended a book that I have since purchased, The Crystal Bible, to continue learning about more crystals to add to my collection. Thank you Luz Elena for being so kind and helpful and I look forward to visiting you and your lovely shop again on my next trip.

I’ve been searching for a good quality shop selling crystals and metaphysical items for quite some time. With one step inside Dynamic Energy, I knew I’d found it. The energy of the store is calming and clear, with relaxing music and kind, knowledgable owners.
I’ve lived in the Bay Area for 3 years, and until now could not find a place I really enjoyed buying crystals from. It was so refreshing to hear of a family that travels across the world collecting minerals and bringing them back to showcase their story. I felt so connected to the history of the stones that I bought and was very satisfied with my experience there.
Please check them out and you surely will not be disappointed! There are some amazing gems, and the prices are great as well.

So, my boyfriend and I were on the search for crystals, stones, amethyst especially and let me tell you this place is divine! The second we walked inside this cozy place you feel this peaceful joyous feeling. Everywhere you look is nothing but amazing pieces. I was so happy we came and we found exactly what we were looking for. We must have spent a good 40mins in there just looking at all the amazing stones they had in there relaxing gallery. The young man that worked there was so knowledgeable of everything and answered all of our questions. We were really looking for the meaning of different stones and which ones did what and we left with a handful of pamphlets explaining there healing powers along with a bag full of really beautiful pieces. If you are into this kind of stuff, please go check them out. We both left feeling so relaxed and really enjoyed our time inside. The owners travel all over the world to find these amazing pieces. Even if you are not looking to buy a stone, go check them out because there are some amazing hidden treasures in there that are worth seeing. Thank you for such a wonderful and educating experience!

Just got back home from an awesome trip to the Bay Area. Had a chance to hang out in Sausalito for an afternoon last week and ran across a wonderful little store called Dynamic Energy Crystals. I’ve been an avid crystal collector for many years and it was really great to have a chance to explore this little gallery in Sausalito. Really nice people, very helpful and they’ve got some very unique specimens on their shelves. As an out-​of-​towner and a crystal lover, I highly recommend the trip, was well worth my time.

I hate to trash a local business but I couldn’t believe how rude the owner of Dynamic Crystals (Sean) was to me. I drove all the way from the East Bay to Sausalito to chat with Sean and purchase crystals from him. I had heard that this crystal shop had excellent crystals and was excited about seeing their inventory and supporting a local metaphysical business.
When I got to the shop, it was busy. I bought two crystals I wanted to show Sean and ended up waiting a while for him to get back to shop to chat. I chatted with him and then went to the register to purchase two crystals, one piece of Moldavite and another Leumurian Seed Crystal. Apparently, the Moldavite price was supposed to be $ 28 but was mis-​labeled as $ 14. Sean decided to phone his employee, bitch him out for mis-​labeling the price, wash a dish, talk to his employee about coordinating lunch breaks etc etc all the while, I’m waiting at the register, ready to check out and leave. By the way, I was the only customer at the shop at this point.
Finally, Sean decided to give me the Moldavite for $ 14 and said I should feel lucky I got such a good deal. Give me a break. If I wanted a good deal on crystals, I’d purchase all my crystals online!
and Ebay have excellent crystals for much, much less than Dynamic Energy Crystals, however, I think it’s important to support local businesses, so I wanted to throw my money Sean’s way. I wouldn’t make that mistake again.
If you want to purchase crystals from a local business in the Bay, I’d recommend Sacred Well in Oakland or Angel Light in Berkeley. I will be avoiding Dynamic Energy Crystals like the plague.
