Started by a busy Marin County resident balancing a professional career with the demands of running a household, Needs of Marin came from the idea that wouldn’t it be nice to have one place to go to find good, reliable professionals for everything from running a few errands to tackling a home remodel or repair.

I am a busy person. I work full time, take care of my home, my family, enjoy time with my friends and even try to exercise regularly. There are days when I run out of hours long before I run out of chores.

I was sitting at my desk one day when I received a phone call advising the caregiver I had for my elderly mother in law needed some time off the very next day. I remember hanging up the phone and just sitting, staring at my computer screen for a few moments before my engaging my fingers to start the Google search for caregivers, at the last minute… It was not long before I found myself in an overwhelming situation.

It was at that moment, I realized that I had a need and it would be so wonderful if I could find someone to take care of it for me. From that moment, I allowed myself to think about all of the other Needs in my life which take time to research and engage in the due diligence long before the actual need is dealt with.
