Alexis Sweet Photography

she was our wedding photographer and our results were underwhelming. we paid for our rehearsal dinner to be photographed but getting closer to the date she told us her mother had to have surgery and she couldn’t do it… low & behold the day after our wedding she posted to her blog a wedding she did that friday — the same day as our rehearsal dinner. instead of following through on our business arrangement she made up a lie regarding her mother. thats just the half of it, i didn’t receive the quality pictures i was hoping for. dishonest, untimely, and overall underwhelming and slow. in a nutshell.

Alexis rocks. I think her work speaks for itself — her photos are STUNNING so instead I’ll talk about what it was like to work with her. Alexis is someone that makes you feel comfortable right away. We used Alexis for our engagement photos and for our wedding day photos. I was a little nervous about the engagement photos since I’d never had a professional photographer snapping pics of me before (not many people have, right?) so I wasn’t sure how it would be. But we had SO MUCH FUN that day. Alexis got great shots of us. She gave us good direction and was able to see photo opportunities in spaces you wouldn’t think of. Alexis instantly felt like an old friend and so we were able to enjoy the whole experience. Plus we LOVED our engagement photos and made a beautiful photo book of the images. So we were definitely excited to work with her again for our wedding day. Alexis helped me plan out my timeline for the day since I only had her for 6 hours and we had extensive travel times since we were getting ready, getting married, and having our reception in 3 different spots around Savannah. Alexis even volunteered to drive us around that day which was a huge help and totally not expected of her. And I have to say, honestly some of my favorite memories from my wedding day was when it was just me, my husband and Alexis shooting pics of us before the ceremony.
Everyone that was at our wedding kept telling me the next day how AWESOME Alexis was. Everyone thought she was just fantastic and that was even before having seen the photos. Once the photos were released, I had so many people rave to me about the photos. I cherish the photos and never get tired of looking at them.
