Had a similar experience to the one described by Vivian S. I had reserved and paid for a car via the internet. When I got to this location I was advised by the employee that they didn’t have the car I had already paid for in stock. However, they were more than willing to provide me with a larger car for an extra $ 13.00 per day. Are they kidding me? I looked at the employee and said: «Isn’t it your policy that if you don’t have the car I paid for then I get a greater one at the same price?» She acknowledged this was the policy but said she had to go through the motions. I don’t blame the employee as she wouldn’t have been pocketing the extra $ 13.00 a day personally … this has to be Avis company policy to make her try and rip me off. Unbelievable! In the end I got a very good car for a great price, but I don’t appreciate the company trying to cheat me in the first place. I give 1 star for attempting to cheat me … but I give an extra star because I actually liked the employee who was working there.
